Alaska Law Enforcement Museum

This place is interesting and it’s good use of a couple hours. My whole family enjoyed it

Lots packed into a small store front including a vehicle. It's especially a five star if you're into the badge designs, There is a whole room full of badges - from all over the country. A display of Alaskan LE history. Numerous guns and other weapons on display. Highly recommend.

This is a small place so there isn't that much to see, but it's super interesting. Obviously, there's a lot of law-related 🚓 exhibits, but there are some other goodies as well. The director was super nice and let us in even though the museum was closed on the day we visited. He also gave us a lot of advice for our Alaska 🗻 trip. This place is well worth a visit!!

Excellency! A bit crammed in space, but overall worth the $5 entrance. The theatre monitor showing a historical documentary on Alaska was a nice touch.

Wow, this museum was full of so much interesting stuff right back to the beginnings of law enforcement in Alaska. What those guys had to go through back in the day wearing those heavy wool uniforms and trekking through the snow in wild weather conditions. I took the time to watch the documentary, read about all of the exhibits and look over every detail. I got stuck in the Patch Room for so long because they have so many to look at from every Police Unit. Bought a couple of excellent quality shirts and a replica Alaska State Trooper badge too because of the brown bear emblem. The volunteer that day was super nice and very knowledgable. A must visit stop on your list if you are downtown Anchorage.

A nice little stop if you have a bit of time to kill. The price is definitely reasonable, with entrance only being $5. I will say I think the museum could benefit from potentially having a bit more flow. However, it was interesting to see the history of law enforcement for an area with such severe climates and a relatively recent but rich history. Sadly when I was there nothing was playing in the movie room. Do not think this is a must if in Anchorage for a short amount of time but if someone wanted to stop by it's not bad.

Great place to visit with the family. Staff very knowledgeable & accommodating. Worth checking out.
