Alaska Shore Tours

In July our group of 8 ( 4 adults, 4 kids under 8) joined Kenton’s tour of the Yukon Territory and Sled Dog Ride. The van was comfortable but a little warm due to the fact that it was a particularly warm day. More on that later. However once we opened the windows it was very nice. Kenton was great at giving us the history of Skagway and the Yukon gold rush while driving along the most majestic views I’ve ever seen. We take multiple stops for scenery, lakes, waterfalls with enough time for pictures. Since it was a beautiful warm day, apparently bears aren’t out as much but we were fortunate enough to see one on two different occasions. You can also see the white pass train on the other side of valley hugging the mountain. Unfortunately we couldn’t ride on the sled because it was too warm for the dogs. However we had plenty of time to pet the friendly dogs and saw a brand new husky puppy as well. The lunch there was plentiful and good. It was nice feeding the animals as well. Overall, Kenton did an incredible job and it was worth it.

The tour was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the various animals and mammals we were seeing, as well as the history of Alaska’s indigenous population. We saw over 20 Orcas. Keep up the great work.

We might have lucked into good weather and Alaska gets the credit for the breathtaking views, but all the credit for our phenomenal expedition and excellent experience goes to Alaska Shore tours. By far the coolest excursion we had on our 10 day Alaska cruise! I cannot highly recommend this trip enough. The trip leaders were so fun to be around. Not only were they knowledgeable about the area; they also were full of helpful concise instructions on our tasks. I loved this trip and will look back on it fondly for years to come. The views-- beyond words. They do not at all oversell it with their captivating description of glacial fjords, old growth forests, and wildflower fields. It was all that and more!

Great kayaking tour and helicopter tours!! We had an amazing time on the kayaking eco tour! Our guides were excellent and we got to see bald eagles, sea lions and the incredible beauty of the area. We were with our adult children and we have all kayaked before but the guides gave great instruction. The length of the tour was perfect and they offered us delicious local snacks after the tour. They picked us up and dropped us off at our cruise ship dock and all of the employees were very friendly and professional. We highly recommend this tour! Highlight of our time in Alaska! The helicopter tour and landing on the glacier was by far the highlight of our cruise to Alaska! It was incredible to see the scenery on the way to the glacier and to be able to land on the glacier and walk around in such pristine and unique beauty was just amazing. Our pilot and tour guide was amazing and gave us such a great experience. The other staff were also very friendly and professional. They picked us up at our cruise ship dock and brought us back with no issues. It was the perfect length of time for the tour. They provide the boots to walk on the glacier, but we brought warm clothing and it was very comfortable. We would highly recommend this tour!

We took an Alaskan cruise in June, and we booked a Glacier helicopter tour for our port call in Juneau. It was amazing and one of the best tours we took on the whole trip. Alaska Shore Tours were easy to book and work with. Communication was excellent and the description of the tour was exactly as it was. We flew right to the top of the Mendenhall Glacier and then landed with plenty of time to walk around and take photos. The pilot was friendly and a pleasure to fly with. Boots with short spikes were provided for grip on the glacier as well. I can confidently recommend Alaska Shore Tours for any of the amazing tours they offer.

SIMPLY AMAZING! Don´t Leave Alaska Without Doing This! This is the only real way to visit the Glaciers in Alaska! Both the Sled Dog Ride and the Helicopter Ride were amazing! The staff and the people are super friendly, everything was as promised and on time. An incredible experience that I will remember forever! The pictures speak for themselves. Thank you!

The two guides and our pilot on our 3 1/2 hr tour (taken on 9/27/24) were outstanding! They were professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic. It was my favorite excursion on my Alaskan trip. It was an amazing experience!

Loved this tour! I've booked with this company twice now and they never disappoint. I'm always picked up on time and back to my ship without any issues. We were picked up right by the ships for the first part of our whale watching tour and taken to a dock where we got on our boat. It was a super smooth ride and the seating inside the cabins were very nice for some of the older people in our group. There's a bathroom on board as well if needed and the even provide snacks. The whale were so cool to see and the wonderful employees on board were very informative and engaging. The glacier was gorgeous but chilly once you get closer to it. I recommend layers so you can take them on and off depending on which part of the tour your on. Thank ya all so much! It was a blast.
