This place is delicious! The tabbouleh is consistently the best I have ever had in the area. I have tried the lentil soup, lahmacun, lamb shwarma, grape leaves, turkish coffee, and the hot hummus appetizer multiple times! The food is always delicious, and the staff is always kind and helpful. They loop a video of menu items that can be helpful if you are new to Turkish food. It is closed on Mondays.

This place is a hidden gem! We walked in and were immediately asked if we had a reservation. Nope—first-timers. No problem, though—they offered us one of two available tables, both perfectly fine. First came the olives and Turkish bread—spot on. We started with the grape leaves, and you'd never guess they were meatless. Delicious. For our main course, we ordered the Alaturka Mixed Grill for Two ($50), which included: • Adana kebab • Chicken Adana • Chicken shish kebab • Lamb shish kebab • Wings • Shawarma (gyro) • Rice and salad Every single item was fantastic! We'll be back again, for sure!

I cannot with words express how much this place blew me away! I am a very big bread person and their Turkish bread was actually one of the best things I’ve tasted in my life. They really didn’t miss a beat with the appetizers or the entrees. I cannot recommend enough!

Came here while vacationing. Found this gem while looking for Halal foods in Tampa. All I can say is that, they offer great Turkey food and desserts. The service is amazing! Got Turkish tea and unlimited refills 🙃

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Taste of Turkey! From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for something special, and wow, did this Turkish restaurant deliver! We started with the grilled hummus topped with bubbling cheese and slices of authentic Turkish sausage, served sizzling hot in a cast-iron pan. The combination of creamy hummus, smoky melted cheese, and perfectly spiced sausage was pure heaven, comfort food taken to a whole new level. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, out came the freshly baked balloon bread (Lavas), puffed up like a golden cloud, sprinkled with sesame and nigella seeds, and impossibly soft inside. It was the perfect partner for scooping up every last bit of that cheesy hummus goodness. Every bite transported us straight to Istanbul. The food, the presentation, and the warmth of the service made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable. If you haven’t tried this place yet, go hungry, because you’ll want to order everything on the menu! 🇹🇷🥖🧀🔥

Google
Great Mediterranean-Turkish restaurant & bakery with a wide menu featuring grilled meat , fish, and fresh baked treats. Had their delicious sauced eggplant appetizer and the generous portion of grilled lamb kabobs on rice. A special benefit was that their meat is grilled to order - from rare to medium to well done which allowed me get great rare juicy kabobs! Their Turkish beer Efes was a great smooth lager and Turkish coffee really complemented their rice pudding for dessert. Highly recommended family restaurant with attached bakery with attentive friendly service.

Google
This place is a hidden gem. The food was soooo good. The liver was crispy outside and juicy on the inside. Both Lamb chopped and lamb shank were tenderly and flavorful. The cheesy hummus top with pepperoni was licking finger good!!! My kids were fighting for the bread and hummus! The space was so clean and staffs are so friendly. We will definitely come back here and again and again when we are in town.

Yelp
Lunch 10-25-25 M D W, favorite Florida cousin, and I had a great lunch at A M G & B... They have a special lunch menu, along with the regular menu and we ordered from both of them... We had baba ghanoush, and baked eggplant for appetizers and both were delicious, the cousin, and I had the combo beef/lamb off the spit, and my dear wife had the lamb kabobs, wee all agreed that lunch was great... For desert we shared some pistachio, and walnut baklava and purchase some bread from the bakery to take home with us... I'm adding this wonderful Turkish restaurant to my Tampa Bay area favorite list, and will be back to explore some more of the menu very soon...

Yelp
Fantastic experience tonight at Alaturka. I saw an instagram reel about them and wanted to give them a try. I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious! We had eggplant stuffed with ground beef and topped with mozzarella, lamb shank with carrots and potatoes, and lamb chops. It sounds trite to say, "It was the best lamb I've ever had," but it really was. The lamb chops melted in my mouth. We love lamb, so it's not an unfamiliar meat. But it really was exceptional. The lamb shank was also delicious, rich, flavorful, firm meat. They have an attached bakery. The owner came over and made us a specialized assortment of baklava. We opted for traditional walnut, chocolate pistachio, pistachio, and milk baklava. They were all wonderful, but pistachio is my favorite! It's also the owner's favorite. We spent quite a bit of time discussing the different kinds of baklava, the different nuts, how the Syrians make theirs vs the Turks vs other areas of the ME, and which kind was our favorite. He was so excited to share the different types, that he brought us a little sample of an off menu treat he made for his family. What a delight! He really made us feel welcome and like special friends. I cannot wait to go back. I've already picked out what I'm getting next time. Definitely worth the calories and a side trip just to visit them!

Yelp
We eat at Alaturka regularly and we have always had wonderful meals. Mama Zuzu greets me with smiles and hugs. Her son Akai (sp?) and Añil are always scanning the dining room and keeping things moving while these friendly men smile, speak to their guests in the guest's preferred language. The food is made mostly by their father whose name I don't know because he is usually busy in the kitchen. It's a family affair and they play to each member's strengths. We highly recommend Alaturka.

Yelp
Alaturka consistently serves delicious food, along with great service in a clean restaurant. My chicken kabobs were oh so tender, and the baked hummus appetizer is a staple every visit.

Yelp
We met here with our friends for a pre thanksgiving gathering. The service was excellent, and the food was so good. The baked hummus is a hit! Its not a big eatery, so the armosphere is cozy and friendly, and I know that I will be back to eat more of their amazing food.

Yelp
With Alaturka being such a distance from my house, I decided to make the most of my first opportunity to try Turkish food, especially since I'm planning travel to Instanbul soon. When my friend and I arrived and I mentioned being Yelp Elite, they gave me the VIP table right by the front so the owner could be sure to give me special attention. I thought this was very cute. They already started with impressing me by bringing out complimentary fresh baked bread with marinated olives. I'm obsessed with kalamata so this was right up my alley! I decided to a couple appetizers which ended up being the babaghanoush (smoked eggplant dip) and grape leaves (rice and spices rolled up in grape leaves.) The babaghanoush was delightful with the bread. I could also see myself eating it as a veggie dip. I wouldn't say I was as big a fan of the grape leaves but the owner told me he is a bigger fan of eating them warm with meat, as well. So I'm interested to try them non- vegetarian one day. For my entree I sat and googled everything to be sure I knew what I was getting into. I'm a huge lamb fan but I'm on a weight loss journey so I settled on the chicken adana. SPECTACULAR!!! I could eat that everyday. I only wish the portion size of it was larger. I'm not a huge rice fan, but their rice was so perfectly tender and seasoned that it may be top 3 rice I've eaten. After my entree, I also ordered the Shepherd which is a salad with cucumber, tomato, feta, mint, red onion and lemon and olive oil. My friend went on and on and on raving about how delicious it was (she wasn't wrong) and how large the portion size of the small was. To end our excursion, we ordered Turkish tea, which is essentially a black tea with spices. The cups they came in were so super adorable and it was delicious to me even with minimal sugar added. At the end of the evening as I was making my reel for Instagram, I decided I wanted to add a song that sounded "Turkish" to it but decided to stop and ask the owner if it was cultural insensitive or appropriation. He found my consideration of asking very respectful and helped me pick his favorite Turkish song for just the right touch. I absolutely loved my experience at Alaturka and wish it were closer to my home.

Yelp
Nice family environment. Food was delicious. Good background music and video images of food/cooking. Chicken kabob and Adana Kabobs plus an amazing cheese and philo appetizers. Management/Owner talking on FaceTime - unfortunately very loud and negatively affected the environment.

Yelp
This was my first time partaking of Mediterranean cuisine and I appreciate the willingness of our waiter and other staff who took the time to explain unfamiliar menu choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, which were ample and well prepared. We shared the Cold Milky Baklava for desert, it's delicious and exactly as described. We are looking forward to trying other entrees in the future.

Yelp
So disappointing. The reviews I read made me really excited about some good Mediterranean food. It was seriously anemic and overpriced. $11 for tasteless lentil soup. $17 for a large "fatoush" with small diced tomatoes, mostly lettuce and small for the price. Hummus was not good and served without olive oil. Kibbeh was done with loose ground meat inside a fried ball instead of mixed as it typically is but the flavor was good. $13 kids meal was Kraft Mac n cheese and fries. The chicken shwarma tasted like shredded rotisserie chicken. We paid, didn't finish eating and left. Tampa has so many amazing middle eastern restaurants that use traditional (Turkish, Arabic, Jordanian, Greek etc.) herbs and spices which is what makes this type of food so amazing. This place just didn't. Service was clean with well set tables; nice for a strip mall.

Yelp
Nice place first time here my mom wanted to go here for her birthday. They have the restaurant side and then the bakery side. The food was good I got the IsKender kebab it was good. It was basically me with red sauce and white sauce on it. My mom got the eggplant kebab, which was on the bed of rice with salad. The service was good our server she was nice and friendly. I would say maybe a better explanation or walk-through of the menu would be nice since there's no pictures but overall still good service. The restaurant itself is nice clean good music. My favorite was the appetizer, which was the Manti reminds me of my grandma's Russian dumplings they were delicious to me the best thing I had I wish that was an entree. For dessert my mom had their baklava. The bakery had lots of different variety of sweets and savory treats. I love their cups for tea

Yelp
Make reservations for dinner; this is a very popular restaurant! Leave room for dessert; they're the best--unique recipes I haven't seen elsewhere; all homemade. Chocolate baklava, sekerpare and tahini pastry are our favorites. And I discovered today that they have about 8 ice cream flavors including what looks like raspberry sorbet. I always visit their bakery in the adjacent room to choose my desserts. Every time I visit, I discover a new dessert. Family-owned restaurant Baby okra vegetarian entree is my go-to entree. The mezze plate of 5 or 6 mixed appetizers is excellent and comes with fresh hot bread. All their family recipes are delicious.

Yelp
First time here and what a great find. It sits kind of discreetly in the shopping plaza so you have to look for it. The service and ambiance was great. The food was amazing. We did a sampling of warm appetizers and their signature appetizer baked hummus with lavash bread. Everything was so flavorful! They have a bakery at the side so I grabbed some sweet treats to take home. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Great little gem in Palm Harbor.

Yelp
Really good food and nice staff. We went at an off hour and this place was busy. Great for them. The food was really good. We got the signature hummus which was fantastic. My favorite thing by far. I ordered the shrimp kebab which was really good and flavorful. My wife got the okra dish which she loved. We were not overly impressed by the desserts. I liked pistachio baklava the best of them though.

Yelp
Alaturka. In the Turkish language, basically means 'In the Turkish style'. I'd say that's the perfect name for this cozy little gem. We decided to take a nice Sunday drive. Make a day of it. Visiting places we love. Finding new things to try. Alaturka was a new place for us. Our first impression? Nice vibe. Very clean and bright. To complete the mood, the air was filled with the aromas of Turkey and the sounds of modern upbeat Turkish music. We were greeted by Akay, a son in the owner family. We immediately felt this would be a great food and service experience. Interestingly, our first few sips of the iced tea we ordered also told us we were in for a treat! How about that? Their tea is absolutely delicious, and thirst quenching. I highly recommend it. I was accompanied by my Favorite Fab One, which adds to the visual ambiance. LOL We decided to share a plate of Hummus, along with a Shepherd Salad. The Hummus was true to form good. The Salad was perfect. Fresh-picked veggie tastes with a splash of lemon and olive oil, and a side of Feta. A wonderful and tasty salad. I was flipping between two menu choices with lamb, so I asked Akay which he'd recommend? Without hesitation he said to get the Lamb Shish Kebab Pita Wrap. I did. And I loved it. The lamb was big chunks, not sliced. With lots of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion wrapped up in a pita. Dipping and dripping tzatziki sauce into, onto and over the wrap added to the excitement. A really great choice. Fab One got the day's Special, the Lamb Shank, which was only $18! This delicacy was served with a grilled eggplant slice, potato and a mound of rice. For that $18, she got an entire on-the-bone lamb shank with plenty of fall off the bone meat. Of course, I had a bite or two. It was juicy and delectable. I did feel it needed just a touch more seasoning, salt in particular. Not much... And get this! I have NEVER cared for eggplant. I've tried. But nope. Well.....I ate most of her eggplant! It was that good! To close out our journey, I walked into the Alaturka Bakery area and virtually drooled as I perused the selections of goodies. I chose the Tiramisu. OH MY GOSH! BEST Tiramisu Fab One and I have EVER enjoyed! As we were raving about it, Akay and his brother, Anil, informed us they grew up on this delightful dessert. Their mother has lovingly made it for years. For family and friends. And now, for Alaturka guests. We asked them to give our love to their mother. And their father. And everyone! Throughout our entire meal, we were never left wanting for anything! Service was a 10++++! Akay, Anil and a nice young lady made sure we were very well taken care of and happy. Before we left, we almost felt like family. I even did my best interpretation of a Turkish Thank You, Teşekkürler. Alaturka made an extremely good impression on both of us. From that exotically enticing iced tea, all of the fresh ingredients, luscious lamb, pleasing pita and then a terrific Tiramisu! In Turkish, I believe the saying is 'Karnimda iyiydi'. Which translates essentially to 'It was good in my belly'. I second that! And so will Fab One. Tell them Beth and John sent ya! Please!

Yelp
This has been one of the most delicious experiences I've had at a Mediterranean restaurant. We had the Baked Hummus, Beef and Lamb Shawarma platter, Kibbeh, and Lentil Soup. From start the finish, the flavors were fantastic. The staff were friendly and kind. The vibe at the restaurant was pleasant. Nothing overly elaborate, as far as decor, just a clean, modern store-front restaurant. But very intentional with their simplicity and elegance. Do yourself a favor and try that signature hummus. The Turkish bread and sausage and cheese go so well together with the hummus. Unexpectedly delicious. Try that lentil soup... so good! We will definitely be back. We want to also try the bakery side.

Yelp
This post will just be a positivity overload message. You've been warned. From the staff being so accommodating and friendly to the cleanliness (actively cleaned multiple times just during my stay, prepared a full seating for me and it smelled clean as well!), before the food is even delivered to you, you've fully been able to appreciate this restaurant. Next is the food. Fresh fresh fresh. Delicious. Must come and experience for yourself.

Kathy H.

Yelp
Great food! Great service! This has become our favorite restaurant. The bakery is also exceptional.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Must try! We had an exceptional meal at Alaturka. Staff were attentive and helpful. Interior was clean and had plenty of seating. We ordered the meal for 2, beef and lamb schwarma and a special meatball dish. Meal for 2 was amazing. 6 different dishes combined over rice with a salad. Everything was seasoned well and tasted amazing. You get a great taste of so many dishes with this. If you are undecided and hungry this is for you. Beef and lamb schwarma was excellent. Thinly sliced over rice with salad. Melt in your mouth meat. Perfect size as well. Meatball special was good. Meatball patties with potatoes and peas in a red sauce with rice. Definitely recommend any off menu specials.

Yelp
Stopped just before noon. Easy to find. My wife and I were greeted and seated right away. Only about six others there. The dining area was very clean and well laid out. We perused the menu and were brought a decanter of chilled water. While we decided, I ordered a dish of Babaghanoush with my Lunch special. It was great, spiced perfectly and we were also brought bread and olives. My wife ordered the Chicken Pasta soup with her Lunch special. The soup was superb, some of the best I've ever eaten Our meals came quickly. It all looked great. My wife decided on the Chicken Shish Kebob, with and Side Salad. I chose the Lamb Sharwarma with salad. Both were excellent and quite a bit of food with a good potion of rice. Delicious, wonderfully seasoned. We tasted each other's food. My Sharwarma was the best... until I tasted her Shish Kebob. Yum. Next time I'll definitely try the Lamb Shish Kebob! And of course, with all the delightful bakery items on display, we had to push our plates away and looked at our choices. I wanted to try something new for me so I selected the Kadayif. It looked interesting and was, hopefully, very popular since the pan was almost empty. We tried that and she also wanted to take some Profiteroles, which looked like marshmallows covered in chocolate, home. She enjoyed them the next day. Great place. Very clean. Excellent service. Our server visited our table many times to check on us. Definitely recommended. We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Burak C.

Yelp
Delicious food with amazing service. Desert was definite highlight of the meal. Would be a perfect score. However, the rice for me and my sister and me had some very hard parts. Probably just let the bottom of the pot overcook a bit. Besides that everything was seasoned very authentically and tasted very fresh. Will be back for sure! Also, had borek from the bakery the next day and it was spectacular.
google avatar

Lindsay A.

Yelp
The grilled vegetable skewers and lavash bread with hummus are my favorites! This is one of my favorite restaurants.
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
Brought my grandmother from Germany here - she loved it!! She compared it to the same quality of the Turkish places in Hamburg!! Highly recommend - meat was incredibly mouthwatering, and the salad was delicious! The grill plate for 2 is a must! Service is excellent as well.

Ramon P.

Yelp
Oh my god. Can't do better than home made hummus ( don't bother to have it baked), freshly made Lavash, any main and Kulfe for dessert with a Turkish coffee. It has become an addiction that needs to be managed.
google avatar

Celina G.

Yelp
Amazing food. Everything was made to order and so fresh. The Restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is so worth it. They serve a complimentary Turkish bread but highly recommend ordering the lash bread. We ordered several dishes to share including the cold mixed appetizer dips, kibbeh and the stuffed eggplant which also came with a side of vermicelli rice. Everything was SO delicious!
google avatar

Marc W.

Yelp
I typically come here for lunch. The food is terrific, the service excellent with a very authentic atmosphere that includes ethnic music, several monitors showing home country meal preparation. A terrific experience each and every time. This is a family run business and they are very personable and talented.

Yelp
Saw this advertised online and was hoping for some good Mediterranean food. Tried this place for the first time & decided to go with the $17 lunch special, which included an appetizer, main entree and a drink. I started with the babaghanoush, which was great. Good flavor & very fresh pita! Small portion. I was debating between the shish kabob platter or the wrap for my entree & decided to go with the wrap. I was not a fan of the flavor and will have to give this place another try for fair assessment as there are so many good options! The owner Akay goes beyond with customer service and cares deeply for his business, love to see the good work and was a pleasure to speak to!

Yelp
Delicious, quality, Turkish food and bakery! So happy that there is amazing Turkish food closer to me now. I previously had to drive all the way to the Bayshore area. They have only been open about 4 months now, and businesses is already running smoothly. What to try? Definitely recommend their sampler platter entree. For an appetizer, I recommend their Baked Hummus or their Cold Dip Platter. Or both! They bake all of their breads and make wonderful desserts. So dreamy! I always get additional breads and pastries to take home for the following day.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
David with Offline - Great Turkish fare. Highlights include kibbeh, chicken schwarma, and Dubai Chocolate. Owner was very friendly. Many nice items available at the connected bakery.
google avatar

Robin D.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I had the lamb shank (I love lamb and it's hard to find). It was fall-off-the-bone tender and oh so tasty. It was served with roasted potatoes, carrots and eggplant. How they get the eggplant so thinly sliced and done to perfection I don't know, I had iced tea that had a distinctive flavor that I loved but can't put my finger on. The ambience is low key, store front, not fancy and the service was acceptable.
google avatar

Jie F.

Yelp
I had a few hours to kill while waiting for family to get surgery done at SmartCare, and I found this place for a quick lunch. I got the lunch special and the portion and taste is exactly I was looking for . Staff is polite and it's a great place to chill during lunch break.

Yelp
Alaturka Mediterranean Grill is phenomenal. I returned for a second time the other day and had another awesome experience. It's in a strip mall and is way bigger and nicer inside than you'd expect when you arrive. This time, my friends split the sigara borek and we ordered the babaghanoush for the table to eat with the bread you're given at the start of the meal. All the appetizers are well-priced, averaging $7-$12 each. We split the Mixed Grill Plate for four - this comes with Adana Kebab, Wings, Shawarma Doner, Chicken Adana, Chicken Shish Kebab, Lamb Shish Kebab, Rice, and a salad. For $65 for four people, you wouldn't expect it to fill up four adults, two being men. However, we literally had to put some in a box to bring home, that's how much amazing food there is. All of the meats are flavored so well and so differently that everyone at our table had different favorites. There's a large amount of rice underneath all the protein and there's plenty for the table. The owner Akay is wonderful and is just so excited to be building this place with his family. They're opening a bakery next door as well that will feed into the Grill. Worth the trip to Palm Harbor if you're in the Tampa area like myself, and definitely would be a regular if I lived closer.

Yelp
Great new family owned and run Turkish/Mediterranean Restaurant in Palm Harbor. #AlaturkaMediterraneanGrill I've been twice and both times super legit. Everything from the ambience, to front of the house to more importantly, the food like the baba ganoush, the grilled chicken shish kebabs and/ or shrimp kebabs are all amazing. My husband loved their Chicken Shawarma. So delicious! And any of their dips, salads entrees or desserts (like the Knufeh with all its crispy, warm cheese, rose water simple syrup & pistachios perfection along with Turkish tea) are amazing! Try it and thank me later #SupportLocal #SupportSmallBusiness #EatLocal #APerfectDay #bridget_breland_realtor #bridgie_breland_foodie

Yelp
We had urge for Shawarma. My wife had the beef and lamb. I have the chicken. The pita bread was hot and fresh. Olives for appetizer. Taziki was delicious. We were offered hot sauce and garlic sauce. Nice side salad and warm rice. Finish it off with Rich Turkish coffee for dessert with a medium high sugar content Delicious food terrific service would repeat. Shout out to our server, Akay! Great attitude.

Yelp
We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night! The mixed grill is so yummy - seasonings are great and you get a lot of food for 2 people! We brought a dessert home - kunefe- and it was delicious! Servers were very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is light, airy and comfortable. Highly recommend !

Yelp
Great service and wonderful food. Very large menu and the restaurant is immaculate. Pricing is worth the amount of food and we took home a bag of food.

Eulala A.

Yelp
The ambiance is clean, welcoming, and well designed. The service is fast, courteous, and attentive. Now the food was exceptional. We were hungry, so pictures came after for some dishes. Good sized portions. Well seasoned without too much salt. Fresh! Many desserts to choose from. This restaurant should be super busy! Definitely put this place in the rotation of go-to eat out local restaurants.

Yelp
What a local gem for Mediterranean food! When I walked in, the first thing I noticed is that the space is chic, spacious and open. A television features photos of various entrees to help visualize the menu. We started with the grape leaves and babaganoush (eggplant dip), which didn't disappoint. For our group of five, we opted for the mix grill for four to get a true variety of flavors. The spices of the meats mixed perfectly with the rice to give a fragrant and flavorful, but not overwhelming, taste. For dessert, there is an attached bakery that has a case full of sweet selections - and the cutest sitting area for photos! We chose the pistachio rolls and kunefe, a syrupy, warm and delicious dessert. It's definitely a must-try! Our group left feeling happy, full, and we even took leftovers home.
google avatar

Meci A.

Yelp
Clean little restaurant with an attached bakery. We heard lot about this new place and gave it shot. The appetizer platter was exceptional. The mix grill for 4 was good (loved all items except chicken showarma) . The special lavash bread was slightly dry. Desert was good but we were not happy with a box of Turkish delight desert imported from Turkey that we purchased. It was too hard and maybe too old but that wasn't something they made so no star taken for it. Service was good too. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Takeaways: Family owned restaurant with EASILY some of the best food in Tampa. Definitely the best Mediterranean and a STRONG contender for my favorite restaurant. Food is unbelievable and portions are VERY generous, service is incredible and very friendly and helpful, ambiance is great for nearly any occasion! Food: Oh. My. God. 10/10. This was honestly some of the BEST food I've ever had in Tampa. I legitimately could not stop ordering and eating different things. The business is family owned, with many of the meals being family recipes. You can seriously taste the love and care put into every single bite. I cannot rave enough about how absolutely FANTASTIC the food here was! Also, the portions are HUGE! As if the hot food wasn't already enough, there is also a fresh bakery located in the restaurant! Service: The service was also 10/10. As mentioned above, the place is family owned. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The owner himself took great care to great and introduce himself to every guest in the restaurant. He gave us fantastic recommendations and even told us how each item is meant to be eaten! You can really feel the family owned love in the staff and owner. The food on its own is enough for a 5/5 star review, but the service here makes me wish there was a 6/5 option! They were also extremely accommodating and reassuring when it came to allergies/restrictions. Really felt like we were valued customers and part of the family, even with a full dining room. Ambiance: The place is a little hole-in-the-wall located in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you! The inside is beautiful! Very nice decorations, but not over the top! The bakery really stands out though. It is GORGEOUS! Stands and stands of fresh baked goods and desserts, and a little seating area to enjoy them! Not too noisy, not too quiet, could easily be a place to go on a date or with friends! Make sure to call ahead if you have a larger party, as the dining room itself is a tad small.

Yelp
Again, Alaturka Mediterranean Grill & Bakery is the absolute best. If you are visiting this area or live here, Palm Harbor, this restaurant is a must go to. Family owned and operated, serving the best mediterranean food money can buy (Reasonably Priced). Strip Mall Gem! Everything is made from scratch. (Shrimp Casserole, Eggplant Kebab, Bayti Parma) The Hot Humus is to die for! Moderate but good wine selection. I would recommend calling for a reservation. Don't forget to take home some bakery items.

Yelp
Food and service was great. Chicken Shish was very flavorful and the stuffed cabbage special was great. Very nice ambiance. The bakery is separate from restaurant. We will be back.

Yelp
An outstanding culinary experience! If you're looking for unique, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, you must experience this Turkish delight. Not only were the dishes authentic, even offering a delightful Turkish pilsener, but everything was fresh and cooked to order. The restaurant decor was comfortable and pleasant. The service was remarkably hospitable, the server very friendly, and the prices reasonable. What took the experience over the top was the indulgent bakery. I wish I could have tried everything! What a find!

Yelp
This new restaurant the food is very good. I would really be rating a 3.5 but rounded up to a 4. Here is a detailed description of this new restaurant. We were not sure of their seating situation when we came with our party of 6 ( 4 kids, 2 adults). They asked if we have reservations since our party was over 4. We didn't and weren't really sure why they asked since it wasn't packed until we realized they had every table set up for a table of 4 seating. So if you have more than 4 in your party I would call ahead. They did end up putting 2 tables together for us but it seemed like they were not happy about it. We ordered with what seemed like maybe the manager/owner. After ordering and having our food delivered, we didn't have a single person stop by our table to ask if we needed anything. We had to get up and ask for boxes and our check and literally had no water left at our table. There were at least 3 other workers at the time but it seemed like the manager/owner was to only come to the table. So service a 2.5. Ambiance it is set up very nicely and the new bakery next door will be amazing too I'm sure. The problem is the size of the tables. They are very small and when ordering large trays of food there is literally no room at the table. The tables are not wide enough especially since they didn't even come back to the table to take away appetizer plates. Ambiance rated a 3. Now on to food, we started off with Grape leaves and hummus both were very good. We then ordered the Alaturka Mixed Grill which comes with rice, lamb, chicken, beef. We ordered the platter for four, it was enough for 6 of us plus have leftovers. Rating Food a 5. Overall rating again is a 3.5 for service. We may be back a little later after they have been open a while to see if service is better.

Yelp
Best mediterranean food I've ever had. Interior was extra clean. Service was fantastic. Excellent ambience. Can hardly wait to go back. And it's right by my house on alderman and Hwy 19 Palm Harbor.

Yelp
First off - the owners (I think they are the owners) are the most welcoming, friendly guys ever. Real "thanks for coming in" kind of vibe. We have tried a ton of things on the menu, the humus is out of this world. We liked everything - especially the lunch deals they offer on weekdays (not on Monday - they are closed all day Monday). We have genuine issues holding back on the food, leaving room for the desserts in the attached dessert room. Don't know if they call it that - but we do. Brought out of town friends, and all they do is talk about the atmosphere, and how good the food is. Fun place - they run a few TVs with the food on the menu and scenes from a Turkish bazaar which I would not survive - I would probably explode. Such an exciting view - makes me want to visit Istanbul. If you like Greek, you might like this even more. I can't say enough about this place.

Yelp
Outstanding!! The menu had so many great choices. We chose to do a meal of appetizers and each one was so delicious. Baked hummus with a fantastic bread and Turkish sausage. The Kibbeh, which was a first for us was great. Lentil soup, probably the best I've ever had. Wish it was larger. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Everything tasted so fresh. On a Friday night reservations are a great idea. This is definitely added to our list of snowbird dining spots.
