Alaturka Mediterranean Grill & Bakery

Great Mediterranean-Turkish restaurant & bakery with a wide menu featuring grilled meat , fish, and fresh baked treats. Had their delicious sauced eggplant appetizer and the generous portion of grilled lamb kabobs on rice. A special benefit was that their meat is grilled to order - from rare to medium to well done which allowed me get great rare juicy kabobs! Their Turkish beer Efes was a great smooth lager and Turkish coffee really complemented their rice pudding for dessert. Highly recommended family restaurant with attached bakery with attentive friendly service.

Tasty Mediterranean fare. My filet kebabs were perfectly cooked and grilled stuffed grape leaves were delicious. I tried the chocolate, pistachio, and walnut baklavas. I preferred the regular walnut one a little too much honey though. I prefer mine more flaky.

This place is a hidden gem. The food was soooo good. The liver was crispy outside and juicy on the inside. Both Lamb chopped and lamb shank were tenderly and flavorful. The cheesy hummus top with pepperoni was licking finger good!!! My kids were fighting for the bread and hummus! The space was so clean and staffs are so friendly. We will definitely come back here and again and again when we are in town.

What a fantastic find! This little gem of a restaurant is just a few miles from home, and our experience was nothing short of wonderful. Despite arriving on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation, the wait was surprisingly short, and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely to die for! The bread alone was enough to win me over—it reminded me of home and was simply irresistible. We also ordered the grape leaves, along with the beef and lamb shawarma, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and truly delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough, and we’ll definitely be back for more!

Great hospitality, no reservations on a Friday (5:30 arrival) they slid us in. Pretty new space buzzing with nicely dressed guests and staff. Had Tabbouli, baked Hummus with Cheese and a puffed bread along with a super tender braised Lamb Shank. However, during a subsequent visit, I had the opportunity to meet you, and I must admit, I was taken aback by your demeanor. Your attitude and body language seemed very dismissive, particularly concerning the local Greek community that surrounds your establishment. Given that Tarpon Springs is home to a significant Greek population, it seems essential to foster a spirit of inclusion and appreciation for the local culture. A welcoming attitude can not only enhance the dining experience but also build lasting relationships with your patrons. Love the pistachio baklava! This place is always packed. Good quality food and you can tell the owners are passionate about making each customer feel welcome.

Food was so fresh and GOOD! Best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a while. Service was great, everyone is very friendly and attentive. You HAVE to get the kunefe if you go, it was my favorite dish of the night!!
