It is a large and beautiful mosque that bears in its aspects the originality of the past. It is located in the center of Turkish Gaziantep, the Ala al-Dawla Mosque. It is located near the Gaziantep Castle and the restaurant (in front of Chaghdash) in the city center.
This mosque was established during the era of Ala al-Dawla Boz Qort, the last Emirate of Nur al-Qadr that prevailed in the years 1479_1550, and the exact date of the establishment of the mosque is not known, and in these days only the minaret remains of the main mosque. The current mosque was built by the residents of Gaziantep in the years 1902_1909 AD. The sums collected were not from Donors are sufficient to build the dome, it has been financially assisted by Sultan Abdul Hamid.
The architect Armenaka and the team leader Kirkoz were assisted by volunteers from 32 Gaziantep localities. The mosque is known as (Ali Doula), a name derived from the name (Alaa al-Dawla), and the influence of Mamluk art can be seen on the minaret. The new mosque is rich in decorative designs, and the front facade of the mosque is decorated with layers of white and black stone.
