Place is too small, would love more proper comfortable seatings, especially with that price. The creme brulee was mediocre, I came at around 8.30am, the pastry was already cold and I dont think the filling (is it blueberry jam?) didnt really go well. I also tried the pistachio croissant.. taste wise its okay, but at €6/pc its on the high side.

Here was one of my favorite bakery. At least I visited here more than 20 times for croissants, Apple danish, carrot cake, baguette sandwiches, other breads. First when I bought this bread, it’s really amazing delicious. So I bought again another day. But when I cut, it was not baked well, more than 70% of bread. It was really disappointing, because I really looked forward to eat again. I could say it ruined my Sunday lunch. The next day, I visited again to tell it. The guy didn’t say any apology about the bread and just ask me refund or get new one. It's a shame about their handling. Yes of course, their business is very good there, so it wouldn't be a big inconvenience if one customer doesn't come back. But at least I think it cannot happen at professional bakery. :(

Super nice artisan bakery in Berlin! The quality is excellent, the only downside is the price tag for some of the items. For that reason I probably wouldn’t go back again but it was worth the experience!

Edit: I don't think you understand how Google Maps review system works. It's full of individual options which build the total rating of a place. You always have the option if you don't like it to remove yourself from Google maps :-). The food looks better than it tastes. When compared to an original french bakery this was a disappointing experience. Also the filter coffee is batch brewed and not fresh. Unfortunately I will not return.

My Go-to bakery in Berlin - never disappoints!! I always get their HAUSBROT! Best sourdough in town & they have a small variety of other food&drinks. Great selection of natural wine ⭐️

I have always been a fan of albatross, especially their almond croissant is amazing! Unfortunately, it’s gotten quite expensive and compared to other artisan bakeries in Berlin, the portions are quite small (bread loaf, coffee,…). I ordered half a loaf and paid for a whole, addressed the mistake afterwards and thankfully was refunded the difference. I was pretty disappointed by the pistachio croissant… €6 is a statement. And unfortunately it was quite dry and the ricotta pistachio filling wasn’t convincing. It hurts to give only 3 stars but as someone who loves bread, I have to say that there are better bakeries in the city.

Went out to try Albatross on a sunny day, highly recommend going here when the weather's nice, as there's a park a few minutes away where you can enjoy these amazing pastries! Unfortunately while walking I kinda fucked up the creme brulee one, but they all tasted fantastic. Very pleasantly surprised by the amount of pistachio cream in the croissant as well, highly recommend! There's not really any proper seating, so be prepared for takeout only

Favorite bakery in town for croissants. The croissants are always spot on — perfectly crispy and buttery. The bread is delicious, and the pastries are creative, often with surprising little twists that make them stand out. Worth the price. Love your work guys! The staff at the counter tends to vary a lot and they have mostly that hipster Neukölln vibe. I don’t mind it, just something to be aware of mostly if you are a tourist (:

Yelp
Amazing baguette and other baked goods. It's pricey, but a nice treat from time to time. I was first put off a bit by the trendy crowd, but, it's amazing bread!

Yelp
The story of three friends focused on sustainable local Ingredients it seems the only reason Albatross is not discussed as one of the "World's Best Bakeries" is its lack of pretense, the minimalist space in Kreuzberg originally built on Sourdough but now offering everything from soft Pretzels and Babka to faultless Viennoiserie. Open daily from 08h00 until 18h00 at Graefestrasse 66/67, a display window and benches out front both full on arrival, it is once inside that eyes widen to everything from Sandwiches to Cakes including a weighty Carrot slice that eschews sweetness in favor of tangy Cream Cheese, plenty of Walnuts and complex spices. Taking "inspiration from traditional French, German and Italian techniques," a Pretzel arguably Berlin's best while Albatross' Kouign Amann rivals those of Paris or Lyon, the Almond Croissant sees Frangipane replaced by ground Nut "Jam" beneath buttery twice-baked halves. Humble inside and out, their products also available at a handful of shops across town, a local-seasonal focus currently finds housemade Brioche topped in Strawberries plus Rhubarb while an item simply labeled "Crème Brûlée" finds torched Custard inside flaky walls atop Raspberry Puree.

Yelp
According to Miriam Webster An Albatross can cause great Anxiety or deep concern and Hinder ones accomplishments. Then there is the web footed Sea Bird that glides as the Wind Dictates. Well the winds have blown A Blessing to Kreuzberg. Once considered a desert for dessert has an Oasis. Let's start with the Vegan Chocolate Cake. Luscious Luxury has never tasted So Scrumptious. Without Being sweet nor dry. The deep dark moist chocolate cake is enough To 'Make your Eyes Bleed' (Shoutout to Method Man) and then comes the dark Cuckoo Coco glassy silky Frosting with edible flower and crushed coco beans lightly and Precisely placed as is the 'Touch' of sea salt. I mean, Just writing this makes me want to rush over....in a hurry. As if this isn't enough we go To the Brownies. OMG. Dark Crispy light yet dense and low if no sugar. It is the BEST I Have Ever Had. (Drake's First Big Hit, ) Have you been to Babkaland? A rare and Special Place in My heart. Cinnamon or Chocolate with a Cappucino. Or the Pan au chocolat or The Plain Croissant or the Lemon Poppy cake and finally. .....THE QUEEN A. I left this for last because It deserves to be the last Word. Sensational. This buttery round blissful ever so slightly caramelized Anointed with Sea Salt 'Bae' and reminiscent of the finest French bakeries is indescribable Even though I just attempted. Something to behold in its Magnificence. The Culinary Game is on in Kreuzberg! And I'm like a Bird in Heat.

Yelp
Great bakery, great pastry but unfortunately, their sandwiches leave much to be desired. A great sandwhich is all about the ratio of the filling with the bread. Just a bit more filling and a nice condiment of some sort would go a long way as it was kinda dry and bland.

Yelp
Surprised that I'm the first person to review this place given that they've been open for a while and supply other cafes with baked goods but hey...happy to help them get more well earned recognition. I was staying for a bit in Kreuzberg and Albatross was recommended to me by someone who lives in the area. I came in and had a slice of chocolate babka (which I know is incredibly time consuming to make) and it was lovely. The days that followed I tried other baked goods and found they were equally well done. The coffee drinks for me amounted to either a flat white or a latte, but all were high quality. Despite the bakery being quite busy the staff always kept the line moving and greeted customers warmly. My only disappointment is my flight left too early for me to get some delicious items for the plane.
