Albergo Carcani by Ketty & Tommy

Perfect location in Ascona. We had a good sized room with a lovely view of the lake and promenade. |Each floor has a different colour theme we were on the top floor which was red.|Breakfast was very good with amongst other things freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs made to order.|The restaurant was busy and staff attentive.|We really enjoyed our five night stay and will return to Albergo Carcani on our next visit to Ascona

The rooms are spotless and have everything you need. Marco and the rest of the staff are very welcoming and friendly! The breakfast is so good it’s difficult to leave: freshly squeezed orange juice; eggs on demand; fresh pastries. The view of the lake… well that’s amazing! We had dinner in the restaurant and the seafood pasta special I had was delicious! Will come back soon. 🙂

This is only a review of their restaurant, and only for their dessert. We've made it a tradition to enjoy their coupe dänemark whenever we're in Ascona. I think this is the third time over several years. The service is still really excellent and friendly and the views are amazing. The coupe continues to be delicious.

One of the best hotel experiences that we had in Switzerland. The staff was very friendly and we even got a room upgrade from a double room with balcony to a superior room with Loggia balcony. The views from the balcony are extraordinary. The views on the shore of the lake. The hotel’s restaurant was also very good and the restaurant workers were attentive and offered the best quality service. We really enjoyed our weekend here. I can fully recommend it.

We went to the restaurant to eat the cheese fondue, very good but such a bad service! We were inside a cabin outside which was wonderful but basically no service. We order the apertivo it tooks almost 20 min to arrive, we order the fondue and the guy didn’t know the name of the cheese and what was the difference between the 2 types on the menu. We order white wine which arrive warm and when we were almost done with the fondue! we also didn’t get the kirsch glass that was describe on the menu together with the fondue. We received the bread also later when I ask for it and the guy said: ah you want bread?? Disappointed! Very nice cause of the cabin and the quality of food, but I’m probably not coming back if I have to have that service for that price! Sad!

Very Beautiful place, good service but we waited very long for very expensive meal and eated in 2 minutes... very small but delicious plates. I'm sad I can eat more for that price !

A great view, friendly staff, great food. We had rib eye and gluten free pizza. And the cath of the day salmon was also gluten free. And a Czech gluten free beer. Very nice. Prices are on the high side, but that’s everywhere along the lake. Worth a visit!

Great pizza! The combination of spicy salami with burrata is perfect, it’s chewy and flavorful, so is the pizza dough. Price is also reasonable for the location.
