One of the nicest things about Casajanca is that it is located just outside of Lipari Town in Conetto, a small, peaceful beach town. The owner Francesa is really delightful and will go out of her way to be helpful in every way she can. Excellent breakfasts and a really nice thermal bath outback. For a beautiful beach, go to Spiagge Bianche (the Blu Lounge is there and serves good food and provides beach lounges and umbrellas).

Traveled to Casajanca with my family and Francesca picked us up, gave us the lay of the land, and treated us like family. She is absolutely incredible. ||The hotel is adorable, clean, and bright. You can walk across the street to the water to relax. Close to restaurants. The thermal pool in the courtyard is AMAZING and was a great place to meet new people or to sit in silence if desired. I highly recommend you stay at this hotel if you come to Lipari.

My husband and I stayed here 18 years ago and really enjoyed it. It was equally lovely this time. We visited here with our 3 children and fit nicely in 2 triple rooms. The rate included free wifi and daily breakfast. The owner Francesca (the next generation of the family from our last visit) was lovely and accommodating, helping us with restaurant recommendations, moped rentals, etc. Our kids were entertained by the sweet resident cat. |Breakfast in the sunny and breezy dining room was delightful. The homemade jams, fresh rolls and coffee were excellent. There was also a nice assortment of cereals, biscuits, cookies, whole grain treats, yogurt, etc. The woman who staffed the breakfast room was lovely and spoke great English (as did Francesca). |The hotel is located in Cannetto, amid several gelato cafes, good restaurants, and a great beach. The city bus runs down the boulevard and can whisk you into the main town in less than 10 minutes at approx 2 Euro per person roundtrip which is very reasonable (taxis charge 10-15 Euros each way). |A half block away from Casajanca is a place to rent a scooter, if you'd prefer to see the island that way. |We lived the peaceful courtyard at Casajanca where we spent time talking, reading or sitting in the heated thermal pool.

Casa Janca Hotel . This hotel has all the island soul you need for the perfect stay in Ipari. We are a family of 4, two children 4 & 6, but When we arrived we were picked up by two cars to make sure we all luggage and sizes were taken care of. While we drove towards the hotel we got information about every place we went by and a suggestion about how to spend the following 4 nights on and around the islands. The hotel owners have very good knowledge of how people actually works, and we felt no pressure at any time. The breakfast was nice and they make you extra good coffee here, no industrial massproduced nescafe machine, BLISS. During the breakfast the first day, we got very good Information on the areas we saw as best alternatives during the stay. Concierge service on it's best. The hotel is very clean, has a nice atmosphere, is charming, and has all the ambience in the world for wellness. The people running the place, loves it, and that is soaked through every detail in the hotel. They love the place and the island and that feels good and it is contagious. The Hotel is a very good base for all trips around everywhere. The aircondition in the room worked well. They had enough outlets for chargers. The fridge was cold enough for chilling the water. A memorable stay.

We stayed for 11 nights and loved how chilled out it was. I was initially concerned about having a ground floor room opposite the thermal pool.....but it worked out so well. Our fellow guests were very respectful and even when you wanted to sleep in a little you didn't hear anything.||||The room was a good size, with air con, very clean.....good bedding and towels and the breakfast with the freshly made pastries and excellent coffee, with a view out to the street and beach outside, was a lovely slow way to start the morning. ||||As has been previously said the service and staff were excellent too, always willing to help....

Stayed here in May 2014...enjoyed every minute. Lipari is a lovely island, made even better by the warm welcome we received from all of the staff at Casajanca. Our room had a balcony with an amazing view onto the beach. Definitely would stay here again and hope to in the future.

Realizing there are plenty of good reviews on this place I'm pretty confused. My wife and I checked out today after spending 3 days here and did not enjoy the stay. ||Unlike nearly every other place I've ever stayed in Italy the attitude of the managers (2 different ladies) was so rude. ||The most important aspect of any hotel stay is cleanliness. Once getting to our room we saw that the bathroom had not been cleaned. The hand towels were dirty and there was used soap in the shower stall with empty shampoo containers. We are rather laid back travelers so even though this was alarming we didn't make a big deal of it as things can happen. However this was the first of several upsets during our stay.||When inquiring about excursions they only gave us info about the agency that they refer people to. That particular agency was not going to Stromboli on the day we wanted and rather than offer an alternative option she simply told us it was not possible. Come to find out there are literally dozens of companies offering any trip imaginable. ||Another issue was restaurant recommendation. We had researched a certain restaurant (Filippino Risorante) before hand and saw a write up in Conde Naste. All reviews were amazing and the hotel even had their book open to that restaurant in particular. When we asked about directions there they told us the fish was bad and only recommended their own restaurant and one next door to casajanca. They literally wouldn't make a reservation for us. Having already had a bad taste in our mouth's from the excursion experience we decided to go against their opinions and went to Filipino anyway. It was a spectacular meal and we're so glad we went. ||On the day we were supposed to check out their was a storm at sea and we we were planning to catch a ferry to Naples. The girls at the front desk were no help and only advised no travel was possible and we should stay longer. As I type this I'm sitting in a cafe nearby with a ferry ticket in hand. Again...good thing I did not take their advice.

We had a wonderful stay here.Very comfortable clean rooms. |Francesca, Angela and Silvia were so warm and welcoming.|Breakfast was lovely, the accommodation is close to restaurants and Canneto is not so busy as Lipari town.|Would love to visit again one day soon.
