Charming small hotel in the centre of Bologna. Room was large and comfortable with efficient daily service. Daily continental/italian style breakfast is generous and the real espresso available on request was a godsend to start the day. A wide range of food options are at the doorstep. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Would gladly return - recommended

Everything about our stay was perfect! Impeccable location, fantastic staff, clean and unique room. It was wonderful to be able to open the window for fresh air and amazing views. We opted for breakfast at the hotel on our departure day and everything was fresh and well maintained. There’s a bookcase on the first floor where guests can take, or leave, books (always a nice touch and we left a great read for the next guest!) All the bustle of the Bologna street vendors was right out the front door. Easy walk to the train station. Will absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Bologna!

The location is truly picture perfect, located in the heart of the Bologna market. The delectable bounty of the city is literally at your fingertips. The room was cozy, comfortable and quiet for our late November visit. The staff are welcoming and helpful with city tips, transportation arrangements and any questions one might have. It is a very pleasant oasis in a very busy city.

We stayed in Bologna for the Davis Cup finals and found l' Albergo delle Drapperie a perfect choice. Centrally located, easy to find and welcoming. It is within a stroll to main attractions, and is right in the middle of a bustling shopping area, yet with no noise in the rooms. The personnel is professional and welcoming and rooms clean and comfortable. I will certainly return to the Albergo when back in Bologna.

Very good location, handy for picking up parmesan cheese prior to the flight home. The reception team are really nice and helpful. The room, a junior suite, was a good size and facing a quiet aspect. It's not the most accessible location, as it is on a pedestrianised street. This does mean that there's less noise and pollution, even though the area is busy. Please note that cars are not allowed onto the nearest cross street during the weekend, so if you leave on a Saturday or Sunday, you'll have to carry your luggage further to get a car to the airport. The hotel also cannot book cars to the airport on the weekend as they cannot enter the cross street. Another consideration is the lack of adequate seating at breakfast. There are only a few tables available and it is not enough for the number of guests. Every morning there were seating issues. There is only one staff person on breakfast duty and they are rushed off their feet. Having one other person helping would make the breakfast service flow better. That said, I'd stay again but will probably try to eat earlier than I otherwise would prefer to.

This is a perfect stay if you are staying in the old precinct, as it's close to everything within walking distance. It's not the fanciest, but it’s great for a 3-star hotel. The rooms are small but charming and clean. The staff are wonderful and always willing to help. The only concern for me was the buffet breakfast, as the restaurant is limited, but you can ask for more. Wifi was fast great restaurants near by.

This hotel is located in the heart of the City Centre. The building is typical of an Italian centro storico, the rooms are clean, the staff are very accommodating, you are in the heart of the city with its hustle and bustle, food and fresh vegetable shops, eateries of local produce all around and close to cultural places and activities. The rooms have high vaulted ceilings and modernised marble clad bathrooms. The only downturn is a flight of stairs from the ground floor to the first floor where the hotel is located. From then on the next floors are served with a lift. I would not recommend for people with impaired mobility or carrying heavy luggage. However for a quick visit to Bologna I would highly recommend as the location is ideal.

We stayed at this little hotel for a 3 day trip in Bologna. This charming and unique hotel is perfectly located in the centre of town so you have easy walking access to cafes, restaurants and shops, Along with the main attractions. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Fast reliable WIFI, breakfast if you desire and Flowers were even put in the room every day! The staff were incredible, so polite and friendly. They even helped us with a dinner reservation. If I come back to Bologna, I know where I’m staying!

Yelp
I just spent 4 nights at the Albergo delle Drapperie and it was the perfect hotel for a single tourist in a great location in Bologna. I would highly recommend it. It is just off the Piazza Maggiore down a small side street surrounded by restaurants, bars, and food stores. It is a small hotel with smallish rooms but it is very clean. The best part of the experience was the very helpful and friendly staff both at the front desk and persons attending to breakfast in the mornings. And the location can't be beat.

Yelp
We stayed in room 303, which was not facing the street so it was pretty quiet when the window was shut. Intermittent wi-fi but the desk clerk did try and fix it. Our room was spacious, by European standards but the bathroom had a tub with a handheld shower and no shower curtain, making it impossible to shower. They will do laundry for 10 euro. There is no elevator until the reception desk. This requires climbing 2 flights of stairs. This is not a hotel that the disabled can stay in. Location in Bologna is very good. Probably the biggest selling point of this hotel.

Yelp
Beautifully renovated hotel smack dab in the heart of Bologna. Warm and friendly staff. Clean, tidy, ample-sized accommodations. Only (minor) complaints were the odd smell in our room similar to what we've experienced in Venezia and Bellagio and the fact that our room on the 3d floor was a bit warmer than we would've liked (and the the thermostat was apparently useless). Despite all that, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
