Albergo Firenze

From the very start of our stay (end of April early May 2025) we were very warmly welcomed by Francesca at the reception desk who immediately gave us access to our room at 10 am without any additional early check-in charge. The room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed. The view from the balcony - Piazza Volta was wonderful as we had booked the superior room. The breakfast was wonderful - the quality of the food was outstanding from the selection of cold meats and cheeses, hot foods and pastries, which were supplied from the best pastry bakery in Como. Of particular note were the wonderful staff on hand at breakfast - they were very friendly and could not be more helpful and always had a smile. The location of the hotel is excellent. a 10 minute walk from the train stations. Right in the Piazza with a half dozen restaurants steps away. A 5 minute walk to the ferry. One item to note is the piazza can stay a bit noisy in the late evening as late as midnight as people drink/eat. Closing the window that overlooks the piazza helps keep the noise out of the room. Staff is great. Breakfast was good. Our only minor complaint from our group, who had a total of 3 rooms, was the air conditioning. It was the end of May and temps were around 80+ degrees. and the AC was blowing room temperature air for all of us. Since it wasn't that unpleasant, we did not complain, but I wondered if that would change as temperatures got warmer.

The hotel is very nice and conveniently located close to the train station. The room and bathroom were spotless and inviting, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel provides free breakfast and it was delicious. The place is within easy reach of shops, the train station, and the ferry for trips to the Lake Como area. It’s situated in an excellent location.

I was positively surprised for this stay. The location is perfect! Very close to the promenade by the lake and close to train station. Situated next to a lovely plaza and you can start walking the old town from right there. The room was spacious, very quiet location by the hallway/inner yard and had proper air conditioning and a minibar (with free water), not always granted for a 3 star hotel in this part of Europe. The staff was helpful. The room rate was cheap in my opinion for June season, although I had to buy a seperate 15e breakfast, which was ok price for the buffet. All in all, really liked this stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

We stayed one night at this place. The location is perfect! The personal was service minded, very polite and always meeting us with a smile. We decided at last minute to take the breakfast at the hotel which was not disappointing us with everything you wish regardless if you like sweet or salty stuffs. The cappuccino and espresso was gently served by an extremely kind lady always there to help us with our requests. In short, we will be back there and warmly recommend it to anyone!

Location cannot be more central in Como. We have been coming to Como for many years but this actually is the best spot yet. Parking close by in a parking garage as you cannot get to the hotel by car. You can get within a 3 min walk so do not see this as a disadvantage to the hotel. Receptionist was very kind in answering any questions we had.

Great location! A direct shoot from the train station and 3-4 minutes away from the lake. Has an elevator. Rooms are clean and in good condition.

this is the perfect hotel , with the most incredible service and in a perfect location. the value for money is excellent. you will sleep comfortably and be surrounded in walking distance to easily access all that Como offers. luciano.

I can't really fault Albergo Firenze, I would happily stay here again. The location is perfect, it is on a pedestrian square right in the center of Como and only one street from the lake. I was here at Christmas and the square had a lovely atmosphere, there were a few market stalls and a beautiful carousel. There are also loads of bars and restaurants nearby. Despite how lively the area is, I didn't find the area noisy at night. The rooms are basic enough, however, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern a spotlessly clean. The only thing that perhaps let the hotel down was the buffet breakfast, it was included in the room rate though so I won't complain too much. There is private parking available nearby for an additional fee.
