There are no wifi, no TV, no minibar and no hair-dryer in the room, but that is completely irrelevant, because this hotel and restaurant have everything that makes it a truly outstanding experience.
Here you stay in a small and cosy hotel, where the rooms don't have numbers but have been given names from the mountain tops that surrounds the hotel. The hotel is in the station building with the Bernina Express line running around it. We visited the place in February. It was snowing all the time, so with didn't see any mountain tops. Instead it was completely quiet at night and it was a special experience to be woken up a 5.45 am by the snow plow train. And during the day the train conductors stop at the station and go into the restaurant for a cup of coffee, before they get back to the train and start driving again.
The restaurant is truly cosy, and as the train service only takes place in the day time, the guests of the restaurants in the evening are also the guests of the hotel. It is very intimate.
The food is good an traditional, and the chinese fondue is highly recommendable.
