The rooms are somewhat dated but very clean. The location of the restaurant and hotel is fantastic, featuring an outdoor seating area and a rooftop that overlooks the lake. However, the quality of the food at the restaurant does not justify the prices. It feels like the restaurant relies more on its location and heritage than on the quality of its offerings. The waiter rounded up our bill himself and said a tip which I felt was a bit out of hand. He didn't give us the chance to select our tip amount; It's not the amount that was the problem, just the approach!

This small town is just serene, amazing place to be for a romantic trip away. This restaurant especially. We ate here twice and every time was met with a friendly smile, great service and amazing food. Would love to visit again.

😊: Stunning location overlooking lake Lugano. Historic old building with tables available over the water or on beautiful balconies.. 😢: Because of its historic age it’s understandable that there are lots of stairs and the rooms are small and old fashioned. We loved it, it’s a real old coaching house..

Unexpected treatment from a server, will not repeat the experience. Is it a must for a people to get food !! because once I mentioned we came to get coffee he started to treat us very different and started collecting everything on the table .

Very rude and arrogant waiter that, despite the reservation and absolutely empty terrace, thought that it’s a good idea to dictate us which table to sit at, instead of trying to accommodate us at the table we liked. No logic, just attitude. We changed to a restaurant nearby that was full of people and had cheerful friendly waiters who let us choose a table.

😊: Staff excellent, Monica is lovely and a great help. Had a meal in the hotel overlooking the lake - fantastic lasagna and wine. 😢: Room was warm although we had a fan.

I can only speak for the food as we had lunch here but didn't stay over, but I must say I am a bit disappointed by the food. We had some good food, such as the vitello tonato and the spaghetti con vongoli, both very good. But honestly, the picatta Milanese with risotto which I had was nothing to write home about, especially the risotto, very bland. Service correct and location great.

Highly recommend 👌🥂 You can take the big boat from Lugano and enjoy the ride and the view ,you stop here for lunch,a bottle of wine and return to Lugano. The Preise is for everyone 👍👌😎, the quality of the food 👌👍😎🥳, the service Top 👌. I recommend to make a reservation 🙏because can be very crowded 🤪.Our first time here we had to wait like 20minutes to be seated 😭second time I just reserved one hour before and Picco Bello 😎👍 Beautiful view 👍😎

The best Ristorante in the lovely romantic little town of Morcote. Its located right by the lake with even an upstairs dining area. The staff are super friendly and helpful, speaking multiple languages. Will come back!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Amazing service and food. I dine here a lot and never have left disappointed. Great pasta, Wiener schnitzel, salad, and pizza! Wonderful atmosphere and clientele.

I couldn't wait for this place to open (it's a seasonal business, so in winter it's closed) because everybody in Morcote was recommending it to me since my arrival. They brag about having the best pizza in town, and they are possibly right. The dough is home-made (or so they say), and they make it millimetre thin (which I personally prefer). They are the only ones owing a wood oven, which improves the taste. Two surprises. The neutral one: the place is huge! Morcote's orography has me used to tiny places in which you almost have to live in vertical. The positive surprise: I found the strangest pizza so far. Meat pizza. With horse meat. And ostrich. Seasoned with café de Paris sauce. Of course I had to order that one!
