Albergo Ristorante Villa San Domenico

As a world travelers, we have been Italy many times to find for relaxation and interest. This hotel has 500 years of history and has the most gracious and kind folks running it. Not only The room is very spacious, but also the view from the room was magnificent. We feel we are at home, we will be back many more years.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this lovely quaint small hotel that was once a monastery. It was one of our highlight experiences while travelling 3 weeks in Italy. Free parking is on site.||Morano is a small mountain town with few tourists. We planned to eat our dinners at the villa both nights and we were not only pleased but the meals exceeded our expectations. Delicious authentic homecooked meals using local produce included an appetizer, fresh pasta, meat dishes and dessert was offered each night as well as their homemade liquors. We indeed felt like special guests in someone's home. Prices were very reasonable.||The rooms were clean and spacious with lots of room to unpack, as well as being able to easily relax. We stayed in Rooms 101 and 102. Both very nice rooms offering a view of the mountains. Room 101 was the larger, more brighter room as to accommodate our son and his family. The bathrooms were large and well equipped.||We really enjoyed our stay at Villa San Domenico and have fond memories of our stay.|Grazie mille.

One of the most picturesque inns we’ve stayed at with all the luxuries of a hotel. There’s an elevator and beautiful alfresco dining. We were going to eat somewhere else, but the view is so amazing and the service so fine that we couldn’t leave to go to another restaurant for dinner. Do not miss the sheep’s milk ricotta with Calabrian pepperoniccino cavatelli . We’ve eaten all over the world in over 80 countries yet we’ve never tasted anything like this. We feel so blessed to have been guests here. The family who runs this business is to be congratulated on giving guests such a unique and beautiful experience.

Honestly the best food and best people I have met in my 10 years of living in Europe. You can't go wrong here. Antique furniture, the food, wine and, history are AMAZING, the people working here are so sweet and just make you feel at home. A truly special experience. There is such warmth in the marvellous service at this hotel. The Owner and staff cannot do enough for you and are always available to assist. After a long flight, I was offered a cappuccino on arrival before being shown to my room on the 1st floor. My stay was for 6 nights and the floors can be accessed by a lift or stairs. The room was quite large with the most amazing view from the window. Breakfasts and dinners were absolutely delicious with homemade foods from locally sourced products. Breakfasts included fruit, ricotta, prosciutto, freshly made cake and pastries and homemade jams. Dinners were 4 courses, soup with dumplings, pasta, vegetable dishes, lamb or pork and gelato to finish. I hope to return later this year as staying at this hotel was such a relaxing and enjoyable experience set in a beautiful medieval town.

Wonderful service, very attentive and caring. Very clean and comfortable room and very quiet with stunning view and balcony. Beautiful home cooking for dinner with local ingredients and real thought in giving us such a great experience. House made liqueurs, local farm meats and fresh grown vegetables and salads. Breakfast just as wonderful with a freshly baked yogurt cake, house made jams of many types and many other offerings to your request served with real interest. A genuine and refreshing experience after some commercial Hotels in other towns. The owner is a character and proud of his passion for real food.

The hotel is a very well preserved and decorated building in the center of Morano, right next to the main church. The rooms have all the commodities and a lovely view of the town, the wifi is good and the food offered is fantastic. The owner and its staff are very welcoming and make you feel right at home, helping you beyond their obligations. The ambiance was splendid. The view from out room was very relaxing and WOW. Everyone went above and beyond during the stay. The home made food was delicious. They seriously treat you like family and make you feel welcome from the beginning. We got there late after driving from Napoli and it was just breathtaking. I highly recommend.
