My wife and I had a a great experience at the hotel for our 2 days here. We arrived into Milan early in the morning. We emailed the staff and they graciously accommodated us with an early check in time which was greatly appreciated. The room was nice with a comfortable bed and very amenity you could ask for. ||My wife and I looked forward to the breakfast every morning. The food and juices were fresh and delicious. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Milan.

We loved our 2 day stay. There was a lot of tourists and commotion around Como at this time, but once we entered Albergo Terminus, it was like being in a lovely, quiet, Italian oasis. The location is great - right by the ferry terminal, train station and multiple restaurants and shops. ||Rooms were nice size and comfortably furnished. Others have said “old fashioned,” but we thought the hotel was appointed in keeping with the building, its history, and the general vibe of Como. One of our rooms overlooked the piazza next door, and there was a festival happening with music playing until about midnight. This didn’t bother us at all. ||The hotel restaurant is absolutely lovely - such a beautiful room with the finest breakfast perhaps we’ve ever had. Coffee was superb. Dinner was also wonderful with delicious food and top notch service. ||The people at reception were lovely and accommodating. As for the housekeeping staff - we never saw them. It seems like they had a way of knowing if we were in the room or not.||Would definitely return!

American Traveler review . The best hotel on our honeymoon!! First the place is gorgeous, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were also great. . The location is ideal. The restaurant is very nice and breakfast was superb. Their menu for lunch and dinner is rather diverse and fairly priced. . The staff was very nice and overly accommodating. They refreshed the room rather early while we were eating breakfast. Then later in the day stopped by to ask if we needed our mini bar re stocked. Then another person came by a few hours later asking if we needed new towels. . I would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic few days in Como in mid March this year. The Albergo Terminus exceeded all our expectations. Brilliant location- right on the lake shore and the old town. It’s a beautiful building both inside and out and with a lovely calm atmosphere. As others have said, the breakfast is outstanding and I particularly liked the bar and can highly recommend the Bloody Mary’s! Service throughout our stay was friendly, efficient and charming. Ignore the losers who have given this hotel poor reviews. It’s really excellent. You won’t be disappointed. Unreservedly recommended.

Great location on the water front. Easy walk to the main squares and all the Activities. One only stayed one night as we were passing through. Room was loud from all the outdoor activities. Probably will not return.

Albergo Terminus is a beautiful and intimate hotel located in a historic palace by the shores of Lake Como. The interiors are absolutely stunning, offering a unique sense of stepping back in time. Everything in the hotel has been restored with incredible craftsmanship, creating an atmosphere of elegance and charm. The parking situation was well-organized, which was a relief since we arrived in our rented car from Milan. The hotel provides a reserved underground parking area hidden beneath a large terrace in front of the building—extremely convenient and stress-free. The location is idyllic, right on the lakefront and at the entrance to Como’s Old Town. The combination of scenic views and easy access to the historic center is hard to beat. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious, with a choice to dine on the covered veranda or the outdoor terrace. The service throughout our stay was impeccable, with full table service and twice-daily housekeeping. Although the rooms are small, around a dozen square meters, we never felt cramped. The attention to detail in the antique furniture and the overall cleanliness of the room made the space feel cozy and luxurious. However, my only critique would be the bathroom—it could use a more thorough renovation, as it didn’t match the high standard of the rest of the property. The shared spaces, adorned with antique furnishings, were a real standout and added to the feeling of being transported to another era. It’s a perfect setting for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Overall, I highly recommend Albergo Terminus. Despite a minor issue with the bathroom, the hotel exceeded our expectations in every other way. It’s a charming gem on Lake Como that offers a truly memorable experience.

Yelp
The only good thing about this hotel is the beautiful restaurant and breakfast. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how this is a luxury hotel. Our room was 105 which is one of two rooms on the first floor. It felt like a dungeon, with barely a view of the entrance parking lot. There was not one moment of silence. The staff "hallway/bathroom??" Is located behind a door next to these two rooms and all night you hear footsteps, toilet flushing, door slamming, chatter, and whatever they roll down the hall. You can hear every street noise and the music from the bar/restaurant late into the night. The the thermostat did not turn on at all which we were told was "controlled by Como" and not the hotel but what resulted was fluctuations between hot and cold with no benefit of ambient noise from a fan. Maybe other guests had a better experience because they weren't banned to the dungeon rooms of the first floor. For as much as we paid to stay in this hotel we should have been afforded the opportunity to enjoy it and have a restful night sleep. The worst two nights I have ever experienced in a hotel. If you stay here and they put you in room 104 or 105 I would highly suggest requesting a new room immediately (but good luck that they will accommodate).

Yelp
The first night we stayed here, they had a private party playing loud music, I called the front desk to find out how long the music would go on and they assured me the music would stop at 10:00 pm. The music did stop, but what they didn't tell me was, I would have to listen to the chairs and tables being broken down and loaded in trucks right outside my window for another hour and a half. but the absolute kicker was, We sent out a small bag of laundry to be done without asking the price, when we checked out they presented us a bill for 180.00 dollars, hell, I could have bought a used washer and dryer for that amount. I had laundry done in other city's at a cost of 40.00 dollars. never again.

Yelp
Just arrived. Advise no one to ever stay if you do the superior room- it's a view of an alley of trash and all you hear is people putting trash and recycling away. We made the mistake of booking it non-refundable. They couldn't even offer us a room with a different view. Not to mention the room is absolutely tiny. 2 stars at absolute best.

Yelp
I really can't say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment you walk in it is such a classy place. The rooms are exceptional. Very clean and beautiful. I love the details throughout the building. The breakfast spread is phenomenal. From the pancakes to the fresh fruit, juices, and bacon. It was exciting each morning to be able to eat here at the hotel. I loved drinks in the evenings at the outside patio. From the jars of biscotti and marshmallows to the ambiance. If I visit Como again I will stay here no doubt about it. The staff were friendly and very willing to help with restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and looking for a hotel. Also a short ride from the train station and about 1 mile walk if you decide to walk. We decided to walk on our way in and took a taxi back haha.

Yelp
Stayed here recently in an upgraded room that had views of the lake. After a full day of travel and an international flight, it was the perfect way to relax in comfort. The staff's English and patience with your Italian is hit-or-miss but Chiara was the sweetest, most helpful hotel clerk of anyone we encountered during our entire Italian trip. It's a beautiful old building on the lake and very close to the Duomo, stazzione and funiculare to Brunate. It's also right across the street from the Como water ferries. Our room was very comfortable with an upgraded bathroom (heated floors!), a big comfy bed, good wifi, and a cable. My only regret is that we stayed in Como and at Albergo Terminus only one day -- I would highly recommend the hotel.

Yelp
Great hotel in the middle of the Piazza area of Como, on the Lake! Great location, excellent waitstaff, very nice complimentary breakfast much better than a continental with fruits, cereals, coffee, juices, etc. Front desk staff were so pleasant, helpful and wonderful! Great location, too and very accomodating!
