The best place with the best location! In the middle of the mountain, next to the Sanctuary. Lots of showers and toilets. So comfortable! Breakfast included, from 6:30am. Amazing sunrise and easy to go down and find the camino on the way out of the city (going down from the back of the sanctuary).

One of the best hostels on the Camino Portugues. Just note that you either have to take 600 stairs, a taxi or the funicular to get up there. Clean, spacious, great amenities and a lovely breakfast. And the views are SPECTACULAR. Highly recommended.

This is the first albergue I've seen that doesn't allow cancellations after contacting them on the day. As pilgrims, there's always a chance we might not be able to make it, so making a reservation feels almost like a gamble. They only allow cancellations 24 hours in advance. I don't think I'll ever go there again.

Very friendly staff. They have a washing machine and drier for €4 total but you need 4* €1 coins. It gets very busy as there is only 1 set. Well equipped kitchen and very clean. Views from here are amazing with lots to see. Also only 2 thrown on n the men’s bathroom.

Great place, but over 600 steps uphill, if you don't know about the funicular which I didn't.

Can highly recommend this hostel if your on the Camino. Good facilities, clean bathroom and even a washing machine & dryer (each costing €2 - need 2x €1 coins). Be sure to check out sun set and sun rise - the views are amazing. Bring food up with you, there is a small kitchen to cook with all the equipment you need. The first Fenicular in the morning is at 10am. So if you want to head off early then walk down in the north direction (go around the cathedral) - it’s a super pretty trail through a forest and you will soon find signs and reach the Camino path (see picture).

very clean, modern alburgue right by the beautiful church. The walk to get there is uphill and far from town. four stars because the rooms were so hot and stuffy so made it hard to sleep.
