Albert Kitchen Hotel & Conference

The hotel is a beautiful mansion perched on a hill, overlooking the river and the city across the water. The guest rooms are located in a separate, modern building about 50 meters from the main house, which contains the reception and an upscale restaurant.||The restaurant offers a short but excellent (and expensive) menu, and breakfast was delicious.||Our room, located on the upper floor with a river view, was good though on the small side. The bathroom was compact, with a shower only, but everything was spotlessly clean. Two twin beds provided a comfortable night’s sleep.||The only drawback is that the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the city center.

I come to this town to see my friends and family, and as I often choose to stay in a hotel, I prefer to stay here. The Albert’s is a unique place as is on a hill (with the short walk to the downtown), and is a beautiful period building with an amazing history. The staff is extremely welcoming, helpful and kind. BUT the smörgåsbord for breakfast is a real thing. Also, they are well known for their high quality food and great wine selections. It is just wonderful, to sit there eating breakfast and having that amazing view over the town, water and parks. My Swedish home away from home…

What a fantastic property and our host Ellen couldn’t have been kinder. A lovely, kind soul with an infectious laugh. Our trip had us staying here for one night with a return planned two nights later for a different hotel nearby. However, we fell in love with The Albert and Ellen that we cancelled our other reservations just to stay one more night here. The morning view over the river while enjoying a breakfast feast was magical. Thank you, Ellen and your team, for giving us a lifetime memory! We will be back!

Amazing hotel. The restaurant and our room had a lovely view of the river and the town. We splurged on the 6 course gourmet meny, which was inventive and tasty. Friendly and helpful service. Breakfast buffet was very good. We will be back.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean and spacious rooms. The restaurant is amazing. Incredible location and view of the city.

Back again for a Luxury Package and we were absolutely not disappointed. The suite was perfect with a sauna and fantastic views over the water falls. |Dinner was really great with a nice wine package with a few positive surprises. Very good breakfast (the bread!) and attentive and nice staff.

This time I only slept here. But the service is always excellent, the food really good, and the breakfast is nice. Also with a lovely view of Trollhättan.

A cozy restaurant with friendly service and creative cuisine run by 2 ladies. We could not think of a better ending to our trip.

Had both a lunch and dinner with friends at Alberts. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and professional, and all the culinary delicacies were delightful. For lunch we had a wonderful and very Swedish Kålpudding. It tasted just like mom's Kålpudding when we grew up in Sweden. The dinner with our friends was a truly joyful and elegant event. We had a starter, main course, and dessert, with Cava and Chardonnay to drink. Both the crawfish starter and the ravioli were very elegantly prepared and presented. We all had the halibut for main course and we all thought it was exquisite. We finished it off with the apple tartlet and espressos . The dining room is very elegant with elevated views of Trollhättan. On the way out we noticed the extensive whiskey collection so we have many reasons to come back.
