We enjoyed our stay at Albion; interesting history of building and update. The room was super comfortable, terrific bed and bedding, great bathroom, shower, tub. View is terrific! Great location for walking to town and cycling (we arrived on our tandem bicycle.) This site says free breakfast included, but breakfast was not included. There are many places walking distance for any type of meal. Thank you Dasha and everyone for your friendly send off.

I booked one of the top floor harbour view rooms for £140 bed & breakfast just the one night. |For that price I expected a larger room, it did appear larger in the photos. |No wardrobe, just a hanging space on the wall by the bed. ||I had to use an external phone number to ring reception, no direct phone line from the room, I requested the iron and ironing board which the website gives the impression your room is already equipped with one. |It was a cheap travel iron which leaked a bit, and left a minor stain on the top I ironed. ||No aircon in the room, but there was a fan provided which was noisy, I had the choice on a very warm night … experience a sauna like room or stay a bit cooler but bothered by the noise of the fan. ||The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft, something that many hotels keep making this same mistake on. ||I was thirsty in the night, but unfortunately the complimentary bottle of water was warm, carbonated (not still). |I would have appreciated a small fridge in the room, and the usual bottle of Still (not carbonated) water. ||Lastly, annoyingly the bathroom door is fitted with a self closer, meaning the door was always in a closed position, as the room was hot from the day’s sun, I had to wedge the door open to get some cooler air. ||The staff were friendly and helpful thankfully, and breakfast was decent. ||I personally wouldn’t stay here again, at £140 a night, although it may be the going rate, The Albion should make some improvements to provide a better customer experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Fantastic sea views from room. Staff very friendly and breakfast was superb. Great selection of tea and coffee in our room. My only negative was that breakfast service was very slow. Only one member of staff doing the breakfast service but the quality of the breakfast made up for the wait.

A really lovely stay. Staff are very friendly. The hotel has the most astonishing views (photos taken from the suite balcony) and the best cocktail menu in Ramsgate! It’s rare for us that a hotel is more than just a place to stay, but the Albion was absolutely at the heart of our holiday. We certainly hope to be back again some day!

We live not too far away from Ramsgate but like staying the night there every so often as we love the old architecture and the beach and the surrounding areas. We have visited the Albion House Hotel several times for drinks and lunch but this was the first time we have stayed as a room was available at the last minute when we decided to go again for the night to Ramsgate. The hotel is in a fantastic location and we love the history and the decor of the building. The only room available was one at the top of the building which was a bit of a climb but we had a lovely sea view and while it was small it was sufficient for us on this occasion. The bathroom was surprisingly large. The only downside I would say is the general lighting in the room (not enough to read by for instance). The manager/main receptionist helped with the general lighting in the room by bringing a standard lamp up several flights of stairs! We also felt the lighting in the restaurant was a bit too dark. We like ambient lighting but I did have a bit of trouble seeing my food and asked for an extra candle. We had dinner and breakfast both of which were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We shall definitely return!

I love this hotel. Always have. I've stayed here about ten times over the years. But, I think a bit of care is missing. Staff are not as friendly and warm as before. Common areas, a little careworn. The rooms are very comfortable, however. I'd still recommend this as a good Ramsgate hotel but it's not the best.

Location is good, just near the beach. Well connected with the loop bus to the nearest railway station Ramsgate. Breakfast is so so , not many options available. 2nd floor sea facing rooms available but there is no lift. This is very old building newly decorated. Bathroom was big. Since there was no lift it is difficult to carry your suitcase. Sometimes staff there may help you, but not always. Quite hotel, you can enjoy sea view from the room.

Booked two rooms for two nights taking our elderly in laws. Booked via secret escapes however the direct prices are very good too. Before we travelled I called the hotel and both rooms were on the third floor(attic) rooms however Dasha was very understanding and moved the in laws to a first floor room.|Friendly reception and was nice to meet Dasha who is a credit to the hotel along with all others that we came across.|Both rooms were very nice, the attic room was not large but still good with very comfy bed and very nice bathroom with 'rain' shower, our in laws would not have managed the stairs to the attic.|Free parking was circa 7 minutes walk up the road and not a problem for us, we did manage to park outside the hotel, one of 5 spaces, on the second day but we were very lucky so don't expect to find a space.|Breakfast was very nice with several options, table service which was a nice change.|Didn't eat at the hotel in the evenings as many options outside very close by, just a 5 minute walk to the harbour or into town.|Had drinks in the evenings at the hotel and chilled in the lounge area which has comfy seats.| We ate at Il Tricolore Italian in the Town and A La Turka, the Turkish in the harbour, both are recommended.
