—> Spent two nights in May 2025 for about $60 per night. Leandro has just taken over the facility, and one can only hope that he will significantly improve it soon. Because: we didn't like it at all and were glad to leave. The cabins are really old, more decades than years old. Cramped, worn, superficially clean, and above all, not sealed against insects, full of mosquitoes – unbearable. There are mosquito nets (old ones with blood stains!), but we were still bitten. No air conditioning, just a loud fan, which is something else to be aware of. In summary: OK for undemanding backpackers for one night, until they renovated...

Stayed for a week at Alby lodge and loved it. Yvonne was very friendly and helpful and always around if needed. The lodges are simple but comfortable and the kitchen is very useful. Saw monkeys, agoutis, tree frogs, a sloth, toucans and loads of other wildlife in the garden. Nice and close to the park and restaurants but feels away from any noise and perfect for relaxing.

This was an exceptionally good place to stay. Yvonne, the host, was so helpful and friendly. The individual chalets are set back in peaceful gardens, where we saw howler monkeys, Capucin monkeys, sloths, frogs. The communal kitchen is well equipped with plenty of seating. You can hear the sea at night, only 200m away. The chalets had verandas at the front, hammocks and chairs - very relaxing. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and loved every second. From the short walk to the park and town/restaurants, to our thai-inspired cabin with a gorgeous deck and all of the wildlife surrounding us, we were sad to leave. The communal kitchen was easily shared by only 4 cabins and we loved meeting other travelers there. We had breakfast/lunch/dinner in town which was so close, although used the kitchen for coffee and fruit (and wifi). The room was a bit dark but comfortable, although the pillows weren't great. Nevertheless, we would stay here again to enjoy the beautiful garden, monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds, and more right from our deck.

Great cabins nestled in a tropical garden, lush and pristine, with regular visits from the local wildlife.. Howling monkeys, frogs, birds, and the friendly house dogs. The cabins are charming and have all the comforts necessary (mosquito nets, fan, hot water, en suite bathroom), and a cosy veranda complete with hammock. Kitchen and common areas are large, clean and we'll stocked. Alby lodge is super well situated.. 5 mins from centre of Cahuita and the Cahuita National park. A mini paradise that you won't want to leave. Excellent quality/price ratio and Evonne is friendly and accomadating. Thank you again from Kevin and Agathe.

Yvonne was a wonderful host, connecting us with a local for snorkelling opportunities. The kitchen set up had everything we needed, the rooms were clean & comfortable. Lots of animals to spot right on the premises- howler & capuchin monkeys, caiman, crabs- and on the walk to the park entrance (just a couple of minutes walk) iguana & basilisks. Can't wait to go back!

This was the MOST relaxing, beautifully calm, convenient, and heart-warming place. I could feel stress melting away, Unique individual cabins that open up to the sunshine. Hot water showers (!) Jungle sounds of frogs, howler monkeys, and cicadas, We saw more animals up close here than when we went hiking in Corcovado National Park - I think there is a sloth that lives in the garden! You are close to absolutely everything - the bus terminal, fresh fruit and veggie shops, the market, the National park, the beaches - and there is even a pizzeria plus an Italian bakery that is close. All this and you are still completely tucked away in lush, abundant nature. ||||Also, the large communal kitchen is the cleanest you will ever find. And Yvonne is kind, down-to-earth, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Her furry four-legged companions, Joey, Mimi, Prince, Gretel, and M are also welcoming and adorable! We would come here every year if we could! <3

When we checked in, in the evening I kept saying I hear water. Yes, we were that close to the gulf to hear the waves all night long The cottage was clean and Yvonne is the best. The communal kitchen was clean and a good place to meet other travelers. We woke up to the howler monkeys starting their day. Easy walk to downtown, the beach, and the national park. Yvonne's garden is beautiful. The flowers and butterflies were better than I saw in the national park
