Walking around the streets of Seville, we stumbled across this restaurant just setting up for the day at noon. As it was a Saturday lunch time, we didn’t need a reservation and easily got a seat.
Instead of going for tapas, today we decided to try the Seafood Paella and Pork Cheek plates, accompanied with the tap beer to wash it all down on a very hot summer’s day.
Thoughts - restaurant was cosy, seats were comfortable and the temperature inside was nicely air conditioned. The wait staff were attentive, friendly and more than able to cope with English speakers (menu in fact, comes in three languages).
As to the food. My husband particularly complimented the warm bread rolls - crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - he relished every bite and also used them to soak up the sauces from the pork cheeks. The pork cheeks were a knockout, beautifully slow cooked, fall apart tender and accompanied by some perfectly fried potatoes with sauce. The seafood paella was hot, tasty and delicious. A must go if in Seville.
