Visited yesterday and found out entry is free on Thursdays after 6PM — such a win! ✨ We were so happy to catch that. Despite reading some mixed reviews about the renovation, it’s 100% worth visiting. It was our second time, and the place still has that unique energy — calm, historic, and full of life. The gardens are next-level beautiful 🌸 — especially in spring. Colors are glowing, everything feels alive, and you just leave feeling refreshed and optimistic. A perfect mix of history, culture, and nature. Definitely a spot to slow down and soak it all in. 🌿

It is a very amazing and beautiful place. You are able to explore the ruins of the alcazar where you are able to climb the tower and get a gorgeous view of the gardens and the city. Speaking of the gardens, they are magnificent and gorgeous. They are a must-see if you are passing by or just enjoy a gorgeous garden. It normally isn’t too crowded so it’s a perfect place to visit when you have free time.

Very cool place. We got there early and were able to have the tower and most of the gardens to ourselves (for all intents and purposes). Seemed like a significant portion was closed due to construction, but what we saw was very interesting and beautiful.

The castle (AND several fountains) are under maintenance. Entry to the gardens is free. Some areas are accessible for wheelchair users but they are not indicated. There's no map with wheelchair accessible routes available either

*WARNING* June 2025 - a lot of the alcazar is being restored so lots of scaffolding, closed sections, and almost all the water features are empty! Still I think it is worth visiting as the gardens are very beautiful and the original mosaics are stunning!

There is still a lot in construction/restauration, but it's worth the visit. There are various tickets prices based on age, student status etc... The view from the towers is great as well as the gardens. The mosaic rooms is simple but takes you back in time somehow. Loved it except for this undergoing works.

The monument and gardens are well worth visiting. Pleasant to visit the gardens on a cloudy day instead of full blazing sun. MAY 2025: Important to know: a large portion of the garden is closed for renovation, and the large water feature is empty. Also, the women’s toilets really need to be expanded / updated.

Google
A historic site in Córdoba with medieval towers and stone walls ; the inside is quite simple but the garden is the true highlight. Long pools, fountains, and trimmed hedges impress ; since the ticket price is not expensive , so worth visiting mainly for the garden experience

Yelp
We hired a private guide to take us through this amazing palace, used by the "Catholic Kings" aka Ferdinand and Isabella, for planning the final stages of the Reconquest to drive the Moors (Muslims) out of Spain after 700 years. The palace is a mixture of Christian and moorish styles and contains many beautiful sites including the gardens, spa, throne room, and castle walls. They are also adding more archeological items including ancient Roman mosaics and other artifacts to the building. We spent a little more than an hour touring with our guide but you could easily spend hours here roaming around marveling at the amazing architecture. A must visit location.

Yelp
Castle of the Christian monarchs was a castle and a fortress, but you can see that while still outside the tall thick walls. Our visit was during Covid summer of 2021, right when the Spain was opening, so we didn't get to see the inside, but outside was beautiful, clean..and pretty empty. If I ever return to Cordoba, I would love to visit Alcazar de Los Reyes Christianos.

Yelp
the alcazar of the christian monarchs was the second of two "must see" sites while visiting cordoba. to be honest, we were quite lucky to be able to visit b/c upon arrival, we expected to have only 1/2 hour to tour the grounds due to the posted closing time, but to our surprise, we were told that they were open later on this day, which would give us about 2 hours to see this beautiful royal palace. the interior has several bell towers, so we did a bit of climbing to see each of these, and admire the view. one of the benefits of going closer to sunset is that you get to see a gorgeous view! each hallway had various decorative pieces along the walls, and we even stumbled upon a real live wedding during our visit! we waited until the bride & groom and all of the guests exited the ceremony room before we walked inside to check it out. the gardens of the alcazar are the true beauty of this historic site, and apparently, the reason why many couples choose to get married here. you can walk around and take photos for days, by the pool, by various manicured rows of flowering plants, by the statue of christopher columbus, queen isabelle and king ferdinand, and many more. one of the staff was kind enough to take photos for us, even though he did not speak english...but i guess the universal sign using your index finger to gesture pushing a button translates to "can you pls take a photo" for most people, regardless of the language they speak. we ended up with some really nice photos against the slowly dipping sun on this day. admission is €7 for adults, and is well worth the price since you get to explore everything inside and out and easily spend half a day discovering this historical gem. check their website for their daily siesta so that you don't end up coming when they're "breaking" in the middle of the day!

Yelp
There was a wedding going on so maybe I missed something but honestly if you've already seen the Alcazar of Seville and Alhambra this seemed utterly skippable. I'd give it 2 stars but I'm hoping I missed out on something.
