Regularly eat breakfast in Leigh and wanted a change of pace - was recommended Alchemy by the locals. Hands down the best Cappuccino in Leigh. Got the Avo Eggs which was absolutely delicious and demolished. A bit on the pricier side however considering the quality, standard of food + attentive service I would 100% come back again

The food here is genuinely outstanding; flavoursome, fantastic quality, a great varied menu and with genuinely attentive service! Having eaten all around the world from street food vendors to the world’s best, Alchemy produces some bloody tasty dishes.

First off the food was impeccable, some of the best scrambled eggs, cooked to my liking, ive ever had and her ladyships breakfast sandwich was spot on. Our coffees were well made, the only slight issue was the only alternative milk they had was oat, but im ok with that although coconut is always my preference. Cost was fine, just under £30 for a decent breakfast item each and a coffee each. For me it was the little things that lost it a star, no sugar on the table or offered when the coffee was delivered, no salt and pepper either, only two serviettes in the little box that the cutlery was sitting in and the final issue, is the open kitchen which resulted in us both walking out smelling of cooked food, sure there are worse things to smell of, but the extraction in the cafe could def do with a boost. We'll def be back but maybe we will sit outside on future visits.

Absolute great spot in Leigh. Go here pretty much every Saturday. Steak and eggs are cooked beautifully. Their homemade cinnamon buns are the best. Staff are always friendly, including the chefs that take the time to smile and say thank you. Highly recommend.

We’ve been a big fan of Alchemy since it opened and we regularly visit for our breakfast and it’s always been top tier delicious. Yesterday, I went for my birthday breakfast and my favourite ‘brekkie bowl’. I hate to say it but my breakfast was no where near the quality it usually is. Taste, textures and cooking were just not up to standard. My dining companion agreed that his food was not as nice as usual. Undercooked bacon and less attention to detail. I noticed there was a different chef and guessed this was why. So, if you love Alchemy as we did, you might like to give it a miss for a while. I did send my bowl back and the lovely waitress said we wouldn’t be charged but I’m not going to rush back. Sorry Alchemy, you were my favourite.

We have come a few times for coffee and pastries, but today we got breakfast too. The Brekkie Sandwich was next level & probably one of the best I have had in a while. You gotta try it!

Excellent food concept and execution. Best breakfast I have had in a looooong time (or maybe, ever!). I wish you would open an outpost in North London 💫

The three times I’ve been here, it’s always been 5 stars for me. Great coffee, service, food and vibe. This plays combines great fermentation and pickling techniques in its menu to deliver an altogether different experience that you can’t really get anywhere else in Southend. I now want kimchi with my scrambled eggs always - but they make it themselves. Even when it’s busy, the wait isn’t too long. Recommend a stop here for brunch/breakfast. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!
