Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa

Our stay in Prague over the Christmas holiday at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa could not have been more perfect; it was literally a dream. The hotel is absolutely stunning and a historical masterpiece. The staff was absolutely lovely and went out of their way to provide the most magical experience for us during our stay. A special thank you to Martin, who showed us a kindness after our engagement that we will never forget. We would not even think about staying elsewhere on future visits to Prague. This hotel is truly a gem, and one that we cannot wait to return to over and over again.

Wow! What a beautiful hotel in Prague! Located just a few minutes from the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge and so many more landmarks! The staff was remarkable! The decor was amazing! The hotel itself, beyond words! It was clean, there was daily cheese and wine offerings and there's a Cafe and restaurant on-site that serves incredible dishes, fresh coffee and delicious (looking, -did not try) desserts! I would return and I will return! Such an incredible spot to stay!

I visited this hotel with my daughter in December 2025. This is so beautiful hotel. We had also massage in hotel spa - the spa is just fantastic, such beautiful and healing space! The degustation menu in hotel´s restaurant was delicisous. All hotel staff is so nice and helpful, nothing was a problem for them, we could ask anything. I recommend to visit this hotel, to enjoy spa and wodnerful dinner.

Really enjoyed my stay in the Alchymist Grand hotel. The room was breathtakingly perfect. The bed and pillows are super lux and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with great Czech amenities. Towels are thick and fluffy. The public areas are also worth exploring for their history and beauty. Breakfast, whilst in a beautiful setting and has great service, food quality could be an area of improvement. Overall I would say the stay was perfect.

We loved this hotel we chose it as it seemed a great location (it is - quiet and very safe with police outside for US embassy, very quick walk to Prague castle and Charles bridge), looked like it was an eastern European (more is def more!) rather than staying in a hotel that could be in any country and it was a great value for money. |We chose to stay in a family suite (2 en suite bathrooms) - we were 4 female friends, so worked brilliantly for us - def a 'mum and dad' room downstairs with king size bed and fancy shower in en suite, then a room in eaves upstairs with two singles, and a bath with shower attached (not ideal if you want shower but we just used one downstairs then). Beds super comfy, we didn't hear a sound all night from inside or out.|Was spotlessly clean throughout hotel, and we loved little touches - prosecco on arrival whilst checking in, fruit plate in room, chocolate truffles with turn down service etc. |Complimentary cheese and wine at 4.30-5 - which we took advantage of one day and was very nice old school treat. |Food at breakfast was very nice - we are more pastries, yoghurt, fruit people etc than hot food, so can only comment on that. |We used the spa (gym as well) , the treatments were excellent (one person was a man- this didn't bother us but imagine may some). We loved the decor - yes its small, but other than us 4 only one couple using it.|There were some improvements possible (as always ) but it really didn't bother us - but if always worth feedback ! |Concierge were extremely helpful before we arrived - sent list of recommended restaurants and then made all our bookings for us (you cannot really book restaurants online in prague).|- Breakfast on the Thursday was bit slow - not enough staff I think - but things like no strainers available for loose tea(love all choice of loose tea) - and had to ask a few times for one. Also ran up of cups for a while. Other two breakfasts were much better, staff very nice, and doing a good job of constantly refreshing items, clearing tables, etc. |- No room to keep luggage in , but was always within view of reception so fine. |- problem with bill for spa but lady was very apologetic when we pointed it out.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable hotel stays I’ve ever had. This 5-star luxury boutique property completely exceeded my expectations, and I will absolutely stay here again.||From the moment I arrived, I felt like royalty. Check-in came with a glass of prosecco and a refreshing cool towel—such a thoughtful touch after traveling. I stayed in one of their Junior Suites, and it was massive! The décor was rich in gold accents, with such an elegant, historic charm that made me feel like a queen. It was definitely worth the splurge.||The service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Every staff member I encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. One of my favorite touches was the nightly turndown service with chocolates—those little details made the experience so special.||The hotel also has a lovely spa with a relaxation area, spa pool, and sauna, which was the perfect way to unwind after exploring Prague. ||Each afternoon, guests are invited to enjoy wine and cheese hour, so don’t miss this!||Between the charm of the property, the amazing service, and all the thoughtful amenities, the Alchymist Grand Hotel is a true gem in Prague. I left feeling completely spoiled and cannot wait to return!

My husband and I visited in November. It was a surprise honeymoon visit.|The hotel itself is stunning/quirky to look at with an interesting reception area, so we were very excited to see our room. I can only speak for our room, hopefully others were better.|Sadly we were put in room 314. It was very small, dark, and underwhelming. As my husband is 6 feet 8 and I am 5 feet 11, we are both noticeably very tall!! We only had six steps to safely walk without being decapitated due to the heavily sloped ceiling, so For safety, I kept it to getting in his side of the bed and sliding across and he kept away from the window side completely!|The receptionist who took us to the room called it cosy! |It was not cosy , it was a tiny, dark and very claustrophobic room and safky underwhelming.|Two tiny windows that faced a high sloped roof, so no natural light at all. Lovely bathroom though. Thankfully the weather was good so we stayed out all day.|It was interesting watching builders tiling the roof just outside our window for the whole of our stay, very interesting, such beautiful tiles.|Breakfast was ok but very busy . There were a group of American visitors next to our table. 9+ squeezed on to a table, so service next to them was impossible.|We finished our orange juice and left and had breakfast in a lovely restaurant/ cafe down the road and kept to doing that.|Prague itself is beautiful and one of, if not the prettiest destinations we have visited.|We would return to Prague but not to this hotel as we felt the hype did not match the reality!|We had just returned from Krakow staying at the Bachlada, now that's a boutique hotel, breathtaking 😍.

We had a wonderful time at the Alchymist. The hotel is full of old world charm with spacious rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet had an abundance of choice and they served wine and cheese every day at 4:30 in the lounge area. The hotel is located in the Lessor Town just a few minutes from Prague Castle. This is quieter than the Old Town but still only a 10 minute walk from the Charles Bridge. We highly recommend.
