We love our stay at Alda. We spent 3 nights there. Hotel is centrally located, close to the supermarket which makes it very convenient to buy snacks or drinks. Also close to many nice restaurants and bars. We particularly love the jacuzzi and sauna in the hotel, we used it every night! Calmed us down and put us into good sleep:)

Perfect location for exploring the centre and close to all the major bus pick ups. The hotel is perfect walk into the centre. Rooms are spacious and very comfy beds. Shower is hot and powerful with all the essentials you need. Breakfast had a great variety with both hot and cold selections. Highly recommended would book again.

Good hotel in a great location on the main shopping street with plenty of eateries close by. Excellent breakfast. 4 mins walk to bus stop 9 for easy access to airport and tours. Our family room was a decent size and the only slight negative was that the room was very dark. They also left a lovely surprise and note in our room for my birthday which was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again if returning to Reykjavik.

Amazing hotel, really lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff. My first time being abroad and I chose Iceland. Alda Hotel have made us feel very welcome as we arrived earlier than the check-in time. They stored our luggage safely whilst we explored more of Reykjavik. Once checked in, they left me a Happy birthday card (THANK YOU!) and Traditional Icelandic chocolate (absolutely amazing) at the table. Beds were great and the room service was amazing. Everything was spotless and clean. Highly recommend choosing Alda Hotel, may choose them again if I come to Iceland again!

Positives: Great location, near bus stop for all tours/airport bus and close walk to town. Lots of cafes/restaurants/gift stores nearby. Being able to check in a bit early after a long journey was a massive plus. Room was a good size and had everything we needed, hairdryer, coffee machine, toiletries etc. Staff always available/visible if need any help. Negatives: Room was a bit dark, could do with more/stronger lighting. Especially as we went in winter with limited hours of daylight. Bed wasn't that comfy, was quite bouncy and could feel some springs. Could be more options at breakfast, especially hot options.

We stayed 4 nights in a king suite on floor 3 . The suite was exactly as advertised on bookings.com . The bath and bathroom were fantastic. Better than at home which is always a sign of a good hotel. Really comfortable bed and having a TV that swivelled so you can view from the bed or the sofa was ideal. |We didn’t have breakfast as we were still full after the previous nights dinner so just had a yoghurt in the room and took advantage of the tea and coffee making facilities. |The staff were always polite, attentive and hard working . |Hotel is in a perfect location and we were able to walk to our restaurants and bars of choice and many down town sights and venues. Highly recommend the Adla Hotel and would definitely return .

On the night of 28 December, my wife and I enjoyed a Northern Lights Tour and, upon returning from it, had a travel setback that would have required an extensive remedy. Grace, the incredible night clerk at the Alda Hotel, sprang to action to assist us at an early time of the morning to ensure we were safe and warm, and enabling us to return to experiencing the beauty of Iceland the next day. We loved our accommodation and would certainly return the next possible opportunity.

This is a very well kept hotel with great access to downtown and easy walking to a tour pick up spot. We had an amazing view from our room and the environment was quiet. I thought the price was very expensive, but they mostly made up for it with service, which was on point and they helped to accommodate all of my needs. The restaurant also makes good, healthy breakfasts.
