Beautiful hotel, but very poorly insulated rooms, poor service and definitely not worth the money
We first stayed in a lower-floor room where there was severe noise from the room above us all night. The rooms are very poorly insulated, so you clearly hear every movement — which becomes unbearable if guests above are loud (or dragging furniture around, we sent proof to the reception)
After repeatedly asking, we were finally moved to another room. However, this was a downgrade, including a bathroom without a door to the bedroom. We accepted it only because it was quieter. No real apology or gesture was offered for the sleepless night or downgrade.
On arrival, the toilet in the new room was broken. No one could fix it that night, and although someone came the next day, it still didn’t work, forcing us to manually flush with jugs of water for the rest of the stay.
Despite all of this, there was no compensation, no proactive solution, and no empathy shown. At checkout, we were even asked to pay for minibar beers because the fridge had been unplugged — something that was not stated anywhere — leading to an unnecessarily unpleasant discussion.
Positives: the hotel is very pretty, well located, breakfast is okay, and the staff is personally friendly.
Unfortunately, the service, room quality, and handling of serious issues are far below what’s acceptable for a boutique resort at this price point. I would strongly caution future guests, especially regarding noise in lower rooms.
