Ale House Grand Junction

Came here for the flight, was super excited to see that they had fish and chips too! Well priced and very tasty. Service was great and our waitress was very attentive. Love the dim atmosphere, very cozy, even for lunch!

The Ale House is an absolute gem. They’ve got a solid selection of beers on draft. You can tell they really care about keeping a quality, well-curated beer lineup. And let’s talk about the food—the fish tacos are gourmet. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, easily some of the best fish tacos around. The atmosphere is laid-back, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and it’s just an all-around great place to hang out. Whether you’re stopping by for a cold beer, great food, or both, The Ale House is definitely worth it. Highly recommend. 🍺🌮

This is apparently what you get for a $16 entrée (shepherd's pie). At best the size of a small to medium bowl of soup. By far the smallest shepherd's pie I've ever seen in my life. Definitely not worth ever returning to this restaurant again. Mentioned it to the server and she could care less.

Really good food and beer. Friendly service and great atmosphere. We went to see the band Soul Habit in the backyard outside area. The band was great. I had the fish tacos. They were really good. The coleslaw had a pickle taste making them unique. Raspberry wheat beer was yummy also. Great night, thank you. We will be back.

Got stuck in GJ due to weather on my way home to Denver Thanksgiving weekend. Decided to give this a try because their menu sounded awesome. Did NOT disappoint! 😍

Stopper by here on Wednesday evening. Had some really good appetizers and food. Lots of choices for alcohol and the atmosphere was nice. Our server was very helpful with questions, bonus because our kids found stuff they liked on the menu. This place is clean, spacious, and has TVs with different games on. If you're in the area, I would definitely say check this place out.

This place gave my boyfriend and I food poisoning. He got the grilled chicken caesar salad and I ordered the grilled chicken brie and apple sandwich. No one else in our party ate chicken and the two of us were the only ones who got sick. Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant.

Good experience here in our first visit. The service was great, the chicken satay was awesome, the fried pickles were very good, the not pictured fish & chips were great and the lemon dessert was tasty. The special cocktails on the menu were delicious too. Definitely will return. Returned for another try, the cocktails were delicious, tried the hummus and can recommend! The salmon was good, the couscous wasn’t cooked 100% but was still good.

I was very pleasantly surprised with our experience at Ale House on Saturday night. We pulled up to a full parking lot and found a live band playing in the backyard. It was a beautiful evening and a great setting for live music. Unfortunately, it was too crowded to get table service at the time, but we found space at a high top in the bar. Our server, Autumn, was fantastic! She was super busy and running all over the place, but she made time to answer all our questions and help us make decisions on the food and beverages. Our food and beers were great! I had the avocado chicken sandwich and The Maharaja from Avery Brewing Co, which was the highlight of my night. I am not from Colorado and hadn't had the honor yet. I was very happy with my order. My wife had the Asian chicken salad and The House Red from Palisade Brewing Co. She also enjoyed her meal. All in all, it was a really good visit. We will definitely be coming back.

First time visiting as a suggestion from our hotel front desk clerk, and it's a really nice place. The atmosphere is amazing! Our waitress was extremely friendly and service was prompt. The food is unique with a lot of different choices.

Had a nice lunch here while traveling. Lots of beers to choose from if you're a beer person! We had the salmon caesar salads. Good 6 oz portion for about $20. Coming from California, this is a great price for us. Server was really friendly and nice! I can see how this place gets busy. Good for groups and a lot of different food options. Lots of space to stretch out. There's dining room and bar seating.

This place was tooooo good! We had unique conversations with delicious bites and the booth was well equipped. The host stand was very accommodating, and our server was very kind (we think her name was Sherri).

Food is excellent. Even when they are busy the staff is attentive at bar and tables. We like to gather here after games with parents and players. Fish tacos are excellent and come with mini side of chips and queso!

Stopped for a quick snack and drink. Best fried mushrooms that I've had in a long time!!! Will stop in again!! Excellent service too.

My friend and I enjoyed our first visit immensely. The burgers were exceptional, particularly the bison burger! Our server, Alex, provided friendly and proactive service. The atmosphere was delightful. We will certainly return. A perfect 100/10 experience!

Called to place an easy but $$$ order the day before-told no. Then local businesses complain as to why people go with chain restaurants. Pathetic.

Really love when we visit Grand Junction the consistency of the food, service and the beautiful, back porch area to relax and eat on. This year, we were smart enough to make reservations ahead of time as it is usually very busy on a Friday afternoon. Excellent burgers, salads and beer!

My partner had some business in Grand Junction so we were recommended this restaurant by some friends who know the area. First, the restaurant was easy to find with plenty of parking. We were greeted and sat quickly. The ambiance was great - chill vibes, not too loud. Our server was very attentive and efficient. My partner had a couple beers which were good. I had a peach and crème soda which was refreshing and not too sweet. For food, we got the fried pickles, the Med burger, and the Southern Pulled Pork salad. The fried pickles were pickles spears - we like round pickle slices better but these were still good for spears. My partner said his Med burger was an interesting mix of flavors, but the burger overall was good. I had the Pulled Pork salad which was very good, especially with the chips around the edge. My only complaint is that there was so much juice, from I'm assuming the container the pulled pork is kept in, that the whole bottom of the salad bowl was just liquid, which then made the salad kind of soupy, which is not ideal. But overall, I would recommend this place to others who are stopping by Grand Junction.

Food and service were excellent. I book our pickle ball birthday parties there every other month.

Service was sweet but the food....so so. Edemame was not flavorful. Oily and a bit spicy. Chicken sandwich was OK, Chicken was overcooked. Pot pie with salad was unremarkable. Bland. Salad was fresh, vinaigrette was OK. Margarita was unremarkable. I've had much better at a BBQ joint. Maybe restaurant pickings are slum around here. Maybe go downtown. We won't try here again.

I'm not usually excited to go to a brew house as i don't often drink beer, but this one is worth the visit. They even had at least TWO wines i was happy to order. The service was fine. The food is really the reason to go. An interesting selection of creative takes on the usual American fare. I had the Korean fried chicken sandwich. Delicious!

Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. Was seated quickly and ordered the Cobb salad and a grape soda Salad was good, was a lot of it and filled me up Grape soda was really good Service was very good Inside is nice, has a ski lodge vibe to it

The burger was great! Ordered the ale house burger and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip sucked, but the burger and service were great.

My wife and I stopped by on a Thursday evening to try their food. There were only three couples sitting at tables and the bar was full. We waited for thirty minutes at a table. The waitress went past us three times and never acknowledged us. Same with the other couple across from us. Never got a menu or even a high we will be right with you. So we left to eat some where else. Will not go back. It's a bar not an eating establishment.

This is good ale-house food and a decent beer collection. They had a "green chile" dish (appetizer?) that was probably the best thing I ate in this town in my 8 days visiting.

Love the happy hour food menu - won ton chicken tacos are super tasty - I always order an extra because they are satisfying and can make it a meal. Prices aren't too bad if you're on the specials menu.

Our waitress (Stephanie?) was NOT GOOD! She wasn't a bit friendly, took a very long time to bring our drinks and food. My hot drink was lukewarm when it arrived and our table and sandwiches were soggy on the bottom from sitting so long before arriving. She didn't ask if we wanted additional drinks and brought our bill before asking if we wanted dessert or extra drinks. She made all of us our table of four feel like we were an inconvenience.

Great meeting place. Summer eating on outside lawn. Super attractive surroundings. Food trendy drinks good. This alittlebupscale. For working class people. College also a favorite.

Bought a burger from them that had a very strong taste of sewage. Was my 2nd or 3rd burger in a month. Maybe an insider place.

We were visiting the town for business. We stopped by twice. The 1st night was great! We sat outside, adorable patio. The service was a little slow, the server offered chips and salsa while we waited.

Great selection of beer! Service was great, no complaints. And food was good but a little pricey in my opinion. My partner had the Shepard's Pie and it seemed more like a stew but was very tasty! The brie apple chicken sandwich I got was definitely unique and was very juicy and delicious. I would definitely come back for their long tap list and their large food menu.

The best thing about our meal was, truly, the service and the patio seating. The food was good, typical bar food that I wouldn't hesitate to eat again but it wasn't anything special. Legit had someone in our party order a grilled cheese. Pretty hard to screw that up but still takes a little work to make it excellent. Overall, we were happy with the service, speed, selections, and good.

Three Gladstone's at eight bucks apiece tasted like Kool-Aid and I didn't even get it a buzz nothing I didn't taste no alcohol. He claimed that they use a bunch of alcohol like five bottles to 5 gallons whatever don't waste your money on a Gladstone. The food was excellent and the bartender was great, but those drinks sucked the Gladstoner I believe.

One of the places in town we are repeat customers to. Always have had good service. Food is good, especially the wonton tacos. Good atmosphere.

First time visitor to the Ale House. Maddie M was wonderful! She was fun, friendly and took great care of us. Loved the atmosphere, so cozy. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Maybe 3.5 stars for me. Service is decent. Just wish there was a more eclectic menu. The beer list is very good and probably the highlight for me. Miss the ahi tuna they used to have. Favorite menu item at this time probably the Korean fried chicken sandwich. If you're just looking for a good beer this is a good choice.

We went mid week. I had the patty melt with baked potato. Wife had pulled pork on Mac & cheese, friend had the fish tacos. Everything was very good as well as the service. I enjoyed their Mexican Lager

The only thing that could makes this a 5-star, or more, would be if you allowed dogs on the patio!!!! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the shade is welcomed but, I won't go there as often as I would because of the no dog policy. Grand Junction is one of the LEAST dog friendly places I've ever spent time in. Come on Ale House, break that chain!

I am a vegetarian for over 20 years, and I was so impressed with Ale House's in-house made fresh black bean quinoa burger! Tomatoes and a touch of tomatillos with perfectly balanced flavor on a gluten-free bun, yum! Sitting on the shaded back deck with a small grassy hill In view. Yes, it's moist and falls apart onto the plate, they are keeping it vegan, with no weird "mystery binding agents" here! A major improvement to the prior pre-made frozen boring bland veggie patty. Kudos to this corporation for giving their chefs the freedom to create a phenomenal experience for ALL your customers specific needs. P.S. THANK YOU for not sticking me with a disgusting processed "Impossible" to eat meat "alternative" A heads up other restaurants, vegetarians don't want a meat alternative, they want veggies! Thanks for delivering big on your newest veggie patty creation :)

The food and service was amazing and the head chef EJ was a total master in the kitchen! I loved the special and his attention to detail! i will be coming back to frequent this spot as long as EJ is working the kitchen! thanks Ale House!

Came here on the recommendation from the airport FBO, great lunch spot. Tons of indoor/outdoor seating. Wide variety on the menu of mostly pub food but some great main entree options if burger/fries isn't what you're looking for. First off they have fried pickle spears on the menu, huge bonus! Went with the chicken apple Brie sandwich and my buddy went with the ek burger. Everything was awesome and the food came out super fast considering it was lunch time and they were busy. Definitely a great spot for lunch, beer menu looked great as well!

Came here while in town for a conference. It's a nice, open space. Service was professional, and my food was tasty. The fried pickles were immaculate!

Food was not good, burger greasy, shepherd pie greasy. When brought to waitresses attention she did offer a replacement but her whole attitude was she couldn'tbe bothered. Will not be coming back.
