Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai

Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai feels incredibly secluded and intimate despite being only about 15 minutes from the airport and Old Town. It’s tucked into a quiet residential area near the base of Doi Suthep, so the atmosphere is calm and retreat-like rather than feeling like a typical city hotel. Because the property is small, service feels very personal and the team quickly learns guest preferences. There are also thoughtful touches throughout the property that make the experience feel very intentional. For example, the pool area always has sunscreen available for guests, which is such a simple but appreciated detail in Chiang Mai’s heat. The staff is also so attentive when it comes to allergies, and always find a way to adapt the menu to accommodate. One of my favorite details is their “Aleenta Frog.” Guests place a small frog on the bed if they would like their linens changed, or outside the door if they prefer not to have housekeeping. It’s a charming touch that reflects the property’s sustainability focus while still feeling playful and personal. I’d position it for travelers looking for a peaceful base in Chiang Mai — somewhere they can explore temples or the city during the day and return to a quiet, wellness-focused environment in the evenings.

Extremely beautiful small resort with paying attention to details to make your stay exceptional. Staff is super friendly and attentive. I booked a meditation/yoga retreat with a mix of different classes to learn and practice yoga, meditation, breath work, qi gong and enjoying a daily spa treatment/massage. Waew worked out an amazing schedule for me that was tailored to calming down and be present (suitable for beginners) and she was lovely and always available for questions. All classes and massages were wonderful with Nan being my favorite therapist both for classes as well as outstanding massage. Food and staff in the restaurant were excellent as well. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at Aleena Retreat! The staff was very friendly and helped to answer all/any questions we had during our four night stay. We especially loved the bedtime stories with different treats at turndown service. Our room was always very clean! This is a perfect stay for a tranquil honeymoon in a great location to try some food and adventure! The staff was very helpful in providing suggestions on what to discover throughout our stay and BelleBelle's service at the front desk was exceptional! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the level of customer service was truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and incredibly professional without ever feeling intrusive. The property itself is immaculately clean and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful details everywhere that make the experience feel calm and luxurious. You can tell cleanliness and quality are taken very seriously here. What truly sets Aleenta apart, though, is the staff. Every team member we encountered was courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our stay perfect. Their professionalism and care created an atmosphere that felt both refined and welcoming. This is the kind of place that makes you slow down, relax, and feel completely taken care of. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Aleenta Retreat to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

A small resort but I would say it is a good place to chill and enjoy the holiday.  Services are very good from the doorman, Reception, Bar, Restaurant, Yoga classes…Good choice of breakfast and dinner with friendly staff.  Special nites offered to different weekday, ie. Live band and Thai dance as a highlight of the nite.

I spent 7 days in Aleenta in a “Yoga and Mindfulness Wellness Programe”. I had the best time . Everything i expected I found it to be even was better in this place . The hotel is a perfect size for a boutique hotel style, the rooms are impeccable luxurious, quiet , private , beautiful decoration , clean and super comfortable. The staff is polite and do everything they can to help you and they understand privacy. The rooms are exactly like the photos on the website or even better. The AYURAH Spa is fantastic , I had 7 massages and 1 facial treatment. All of the professionals are super experienced and kind. You will surely get a top class wellness retreat experience . The AYURAH manager Waew and all her staff of masseurs are very professional and dedicated to make guests experience the best possible. All of the professionals are excellent and careful . From asking about the pressure touch, to asking about the room temperature … they really care about you and the quality of the treatments here. The wellness activities like Yoga, Qi Gong, pranayama, sound healing, meditation are led by capable experience and super kind professionals in a beautiful wood and glass structure. The food in the restaurant is authentic Thai and they source ingredients carefully. They cater for all allergies and food intolerances , the menu is extensive from healthy to fries . Fresh juices , fresh teas, fresh coconuts are available too. The grounds of the hotel is peaceful , and attention to details are everywhere, I also loved the library and the cocktail bar. I totally recommend your stay in this boutique Wellness Resort. I definitely had the peaceful and luxurious thai wellness experience I come here for. It is located in a residential area right beside 5 minutes walk to Umong Temple going to the old town is a quick ride on convenient apps for cabs.

Such a beautiful stay, overall a 10/10 experience! Booked with Amex and got the most luxurious perfect stay for this weekend getaway. The hospitality and amazing customer service here was unmatched, everyone here served us so kindly and treated us like a priority. I would happily stay here again… a must stay hotel

Recently spent 4 nights at this great boutique hotel. The hospitality and attentiveness was very special. We happened to be there on New Year's Eve and while we knew there was going to be an event on property, we didn't know just how amazing it would be. A full night of buffett eating, open bar, music and entertainment and the support of such great staff. It made for a very special and surprising evening. A few things to know about the hotel. It's easy to get a Grab (SE Asia's UBER) so going into central Chiang Mai is fairly easy (we found paying a bit more for the "premium" was the best way to get a driver to accept). But, be prepared for 15-20 minute drives at least to Old Town due to traffic. Much closer and frankly much better for food and drink is the NImman neighborhood. The breakfast is very good and you can order hot items or each a more continental buffet. The gym is very limited but there are other ways to get exercise (we did the free Yoga class). The pool was generally not crowded but there are also not many chairs so you may have to be prompt to secure a spot at high demand period. FInally, the cocktail bar (1892) is a hidden gem. The bartender there was a consumate professional, could work anywhere in the world. I recommend it for a drink before going out on the town.
