I chose to have the breakfast which included a cooked option. Later on that day I became ill with food poisoning symptons. I thought it was poor value for money anyway. There is a supermarket on the corner open 24 hours; I used this the next time I stayed.

A very conveniently located hotel right between Old Town and Kazimierz, that has its best days passed. Rooms are decent size, somewhat smelly, and partly styled as "historic". All in all everything needs some renovation. Breakfast is underwhelming, but given the price this is to be expected. Price, location and friendliness of the staff may make you consider, overall quality and run-down neighborhood are cons, though.

You get what you pay for. The room was clean and the distance from the center of town was good, however, the staff insist on you leaving your keys with them at the front door. i wouldn’t have a problem with this, but I returned to my room one day and found my stuff moved around. As you can imagine, this was extremely unsettling, especially because i requested that my room not be serviced. The furniture is outdated, beds aren’t particularly comfortable. So… good if you’re on a budget, but as a solo female traveler, i would not feel safe staying here again.

The staff were warm and friendly. Location is good and near Wawel Castle. The hotel and restaurant have a lot of antique furniture and ornaments giving it a rustic look. Breakfast was very basic and you might want to go elsewhere for breakfast if you have time. The room door lock was automatic. My room was not air-conditioned. And so it was stuffy in the atrociously hot summer. The opened windows invited maybe 2 or 3 small flies inside the room. A large carpet beside the bed - traditional design in Polish rooms I think. But this one had a smell and I did not like it beside my bed. The bed sheet came off easily exposing the dark brown mattress below it - I didn't like this either. The pillow was flat and not firm. The bathroom facilities were all working properly. The shower head could not stand but this was a small problem and didn't bother me.

Great location in the Old Town, walking distance to the Main Square. Rooms and bathrooms are super clean, staff very helpful and polite. Reception open 24 h if you need anything. Shops and cafes nearby.

First of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived way before check in so they stored my luggage for me until my room was ready. |Breakfast is a nice continental selection, but they also served scrambled eggs if requested. |The room itself was basic, but clean. The bed was two singles pushed together with a very thin futon like mattress. It was perfect adequate though. |The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to Wawel castle and about 5 mins walk from the city centre in one direction and 5 mins walk from the old Jewish area.

Positives - staff were kind enough if not a bit fed up. I don’t blame them.|Breakfast was fine, good choice and staff were nice.|Guy on reception was nice enough. Hotel lobby is just grim and uninviting. It’s perfect if you liked the Addams Family.|My room on the 4th floor was revolting. The guy on reception changed it to another room which was marginally better. Original room was out of the lift and on the right hand side. Two single beds, stained all over the carpet with crust of some kind imbedded. Stained on the bedding, the bathroom was grose. |Next room down the corridor, same, cig burn I the sheets, staines all over the carpet, boiling hot rooms, bathroom was a bit better, it had food on the floor in the corner but was taken up after day two, I think it was tomato...I wasn’t picking it up. |Guy on reception sorted me a cab and a tour he was ok just moody but I put it down to working in such a dark and gloomy place with people moaning who got put on the 4th floor.|Krakow is a beautiful city and has lots and lots of hotels, I went for character and was shocked these places are still around. Next time I’ll book a Novotel , it might be a chain but they provide clean beds and rooms. |Other members stayed on the 3rd floor and said their rooms were grim, we referred|To mine as the coffin. You’ve been warned!

I normally base a review on the cost. I didnt pay for this hotel as it was part of a stag do package, so my view might be slightly skewed. The location is ok, about 10/15 minute walking distance from the main square. ||We were put in a room in the loft, which is where they probably stick all the stag do'ers. At the end of the bed closest to the eaves there was no chance of standing so i had to sleep with my head in the middle of the room, which felt odd. ||The furniture was very dated and the floor was carpet tiles. The shower was ok as was the general cleanliness. ||The staff were really friendly, especially they had to deal with a big bunch of drunk blokes. The lift is ridiculously slow, it was quicker to walk to the 5th floor. ||Hotel ok, location not bad
