I stayed at Aleida's in December 2018 and January 2019 and greatly enjoyed my stay. Elena, the manager, is the perfect host. She is very caring and attentive. She kindly catered for my gluten free diet by cooking me a variety of delicious breakfasts. The hotel is bright and clean. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and have great showers. The hotel is situated in La Floresta, which is the best barrio in Quito. There are lots of great bars, restaurants and galleries nearby. I highly recommend Aleida's for short or long stays in Quito.

I stayed at Aleida’s for an entire month while on a service trip in Quito and it was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful, clean, environment, breakfast included, and hostal owner Elena is a saint. Would 1000% recommend to any travelers seeking either short term or long term stay! Thank you so much Elena!

I stayed in this Hostal 3 weeks, it is perfectly located in Là Floresta (close to the center and foch), and I was really well looked after by Elena, the manager! She makes delicious healthy meals (even gluten free and vegan for me <3) and is so helpful, decent, and interesting. The Hostal is clean, and kitchen is made available. I really recommend Aleida's, it will definetly make your stay in Quito even more worthwhile

This hotal is located in the center of the hippest neighborhood in town, literally next to my favorite taco place and just around the corner from the town's most delicious cafes. Elena is an oustanding hostess with the mostest and is extremely kind and accommodating. My bed was really comfortable, and I loved how she had a small normal lamp next to my bed instead of those annoying neo lights that I keep finding everywhere else. She hand makes your breakfast and if you need any other food, too, you can purchase dinners and such for reasonable prices. I felt like I was staying at a comfortable house, rather than at a hotel. It is defintely not some kind of a hostel as the name suggests, and in fact, all rooms are private here. I would definitely stay here again.

Aleida’s Hostal is located in the “La Floresta” neighborhood in the new town of Quito, just 10 minutes from the popular Mariscal district.||||The hostel has three floors and 501 square meters of living space and is, therefore a great place for groups. It has 14 rooms, including single, double, triple and rooms for couples, with private or shared bathroom.||||On the ground floor is a small restaurant with a view of the cozy garden, where you can smoke. In the center of the hostel is a skylight through which natural light enters and heats all the rooms.||||In the social area is a large flatscreen with an Internet connection; a telephone, and a computer.||||The location is known for its tranquility and residential environment. Around La Floresta, you can find banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, universities, bars, restaurants, cultural venues, cinemas, and local food. In and around the hostel is a very safe, pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.||||From Aleida’s Hostal it is only a short walk to the wonderful Central Bank Museum and the Casa de la Cultura. Only a few minutes by taxi away, you can find the fabulous and very well-preserved old town of Quito, with its many churches, squares, museums, the Presidential Palace, and many other attractions.

Room and bathroom were of a decent size. |I got a free upgrade to a room with a bathroom ensuite. The bathroom smelled mouldy. Didn’t get hot water in the shower...|The hostess (Elena?) was very friendly, but doesn’t speak any English. |The hostel has 2 floors and no elevator. So maybe you have to carry your luggage a couple of stairs. |Breakfast was fine for a hostel.|There are lots of brochures, maps, books etc. You can also book the busses here. They arranged the airport taxi for me.|It has a restaurant, but I didn’t try it.|The hostel also has a lounge. WiFi was fast. |I was there on Friday and Saturday night and I heard lots of noise/music from the street. So don’t forget your earplugs.

I am part of a university group that has been staying at Aleidas for years now. The owner, Elena, is one of the kindest people ever and she went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. I happened to get sick a few times and as soon as Elena found out she would bring mint tea and noodle soup to help. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the simple breakfasts were fresh and filling. The hostal is located in the financial district, secure and relatively central. Getting around is easy and Elena is happy to help, be that giving directions or calling a trusted driver (she doesn't speak English but is very patient in listening to beginning/stumbling Spanish). Thank you Elena!!

This hostel was great. A block or two away from the big names gives you a home town feel in affluent part of town. It is more of a hotel than a hostel run by a small family that comes down to personally greet you as you eat a home cooked breakfast with probably the best juice we had here. ||||While here we hiked Pinchicha, drank craft beer and found home crafts all on the direction of the manager. ||||Stay here you won’t be disappointed.
