Alejandro’s Kitchen & Tequila

The manager was rude. (It was lunch time so i ordered a grilled chicken salad. )I was served a nasty salad and had to order a new greasy plate and pay for the salad also. The salad had hard and chewy pieces of chicken and store bought lettuce and ranch . Don't bother coming here there is better Mexican food in town.

This was my first visit to Alejandro's, and I will definitely be going back! My group went a little earlier than the usual dinner crowd, so there weren't many people, which was great for us as the normal restaurant sound level wasn't present, allowing us to carry on a comfortable conversation. The atmosphere was pleasant. You know you're in a Mexican restaurant, but the decorations aren't over-the-top kitschy. We got the Tri-Dip appetizer (guacamole, beans, and queso), which was delicious. For the main course, I ordered the Quesa Birria, which was great! Our server, Juan, was fantastic! He kept our drinks topped off, always had a smile, and made sure we wanted for nothing. The prices were about on-par with other restaurants, so there was no "sticker shock." There was plenty of parking, along with easy wheelchair access. If you're looking for good food at comparable prices, served in a comfortable atmosphere by friendly staff, give Alejandro's a try!

It was better than most the carne asada in many restaurants in San Angelo. Prices are average about 15 each. For a meal that has ri e beans and on this dish had some green beans. Wasn't burnt not undercooked. Charro beans. Choice of tortillas. For three people it was 72 and change with appetizer. Was pleased with good fast yet fresh food. I'd recommend this place for those who enjoy some good tasting Mexican food and great atmosphere. I've been here only three times but has not let me down on quality of food. In the past two years. Maybe. Good place for a romantic yet inexpensive place. Great for couples or family.

We dined at Alejandros for dinner this evening & it was amazing!! We were greeted & seated quickly. They brought salsa & "white sauce" which is a San Angelo delicacy!!! The white sauce is normally something you must order & pay for but at Alejandros - it is complementary and is absolutely the best in town (in my opinion). We ordered a Michelada (with Victoria - which you don't find at most places) and a Cazuela (which is a Paloma in a bowl). For food - we ordered a Kid's cheese quesadilla & Fajitas Nortenas. The food came out very quickly!! The kid definitely approved of the quesadilla!! Our fajitas were delicious - both chicken & beef smothered with perfectly grilled onions, chorizo, & queso!! It was enough for 2 people & we brought home leftovers. Overall - we had a fantastic dining experience at Alejandros & will definitely return!!

First of all there smell when you walk in is like some kind of cleaning solution and that's all I smelled the w h Ole time! We were there tonight fir my great nephews birthday. My Sister and I both ordered margaritas but asked if they could do them with Vodka, because we can't tolerate tequila. He said yes. In a little bit he came back and asked if Tito's was ok, yes that's fine. We'll, then he came back in a little bit again and told us the price. At first he said ut would be double the 16oz (we ordered 32oz), so we questioned that, then he said it would be $1 above regular price fir 32oz because of Titos, that means it should have been $19. The tiket came and and it was $10 above price!!!! He said because it was Titos. Even though we questioned it because of what he told us, got no satisfaction!!!!! I don't know when or IF I will EVER go back!!!!!!!

I really wanted to like this place but the food was not our favorite.

Our first time visiting and I will most certainly not be returning. After being seated we waiting over five minutes to be greeted. After being greeted and taking our drink order we got our CLOUDY tea in what looked like a dirty glass. They had bloody Mary’s on sale for $5 and it tasted like pure tomato juice. We never received chips/salsa and when we did ask our server she informed us it was extra charge. I believe we saw our server a total three times, she didn’t come by to check on us. When I showed her my ID she called me old. Thank you! The restrooms smell TERRIBLE like straight sewer. Gag!!! So gross. Spent $50 no tip included for breakfast on two people. Do not recommend.

First, the waitress we had was outstanding. She topped off everything without even needing to ask really. The food itself was also great. All of it was flavored perfectly and the portions were generous. They have this white sauce that is also a bit unusual though is actually pretty good. I'd definitely recommend.

Service was amazing, Yolanda was spot on! Good food and good atmosphere. Would recommend and will certainly be back again.

I came here with a friend. The dining area is spacious, and I was seated immediately. Service was friendly, but it was not super fast. The food was good. I had the street tacos, and I was full. It was a lot of food! We also shared the queso flameado -- the chorizo was very mild, and it paired well with the amazing cheese. I'd definitely come back here. I wanted to try desserts, but I was too full the night I went. Their dessert selection has some of my favorites -- churros, tres leches, flan.

Large restaurant which is nice for big groups! Food came out pretty fast too. There's a lot of competition in San Angelo so you've got to have great food! This was a few steps above Rosa's. Tortillas were store bought. Salsa was good. We were seated as soon as we entered. Cute decor.

Fabulous flavors. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've found so far in Angelo. I chose this place because I saw a review that said their white sauce was good... and oh my... I couldn't agree more. The best white sauce I've had in West Texas. The menu is huge and they have so many original dishes. Of course they serve the usual options... if that's what you prefer... but also have so many I've never even heard of. It was hard to pick just one. We both love our meals. Such flavor! Also, the service was top notch! Our waitress was so friendly and our food came quickly (it is was all correct). There were plenty of people/groups there while we were dining, but it's spacious enough that it didn't feel crowded and the noise level was low enough to carry on a good conversation. So glad I found this place and I will definitely take people bad with me. Give it a try!

This place was fireee. My boyfriend and I went to the first place and we loved it! Everything taste delicious. No Mexican place compares to this one. Service was fast. Our waitress was super nice and recommended dishes. The place is very spacious. There's a lot to look at at. 10/10 recommend :)

It takes a lot to impress me at a restaurant, but this one has certainly done it! We walked into a very clean restaurant playing older country music making this very white girl feel comfortable. The restaurant is quiet and very spacious. Our waiter, Alex, was very pleasant and attentive, so rare to find these days. And then there was the food... The chips were fresh and warm, salsa and their white sauce were amazing. The queso is made with real cheese and fantastic. We got the San Antonio plate and the Texas plate and oh my word. Simply amazing. And there was enough food for us to eat a second meal after we stuffed ourselves. In all we have not a single complaint about the place and we will be returning again.

Service- not good. Food- mediocre. Tea- nasty. Greeter- missing. I saw several people turn around and leave. We are not returning.

The food is always great and so is the service. The employees are always cleaning while we are there even when it isn't busy they are working.

Serve the food freshly cooked and hot. Keep glasses, chips and salsa full. Hire some decent wait staff.

"IT'S MONDAY, TIME TO CELEBRATE" My Wife wanted to go out to eat on Monday and I totally agreed. Her reason was 'It's Monday'. It's always good to agree with your Wife. We arrived at Alejandro's Kitchen & Tequila Bar, walked in and this place is Gorgeous inside and Very Big with lots of tables all around with a raised area on the sides. The Beautiful Bar is located in the Back Center and it is well stocked. Alejandro's was called Lin's Chinese Buffet before the makeover and we were not living here at that time. They did a Beautiful job converting it over to a Mexican Restaurant - inside and out. We were greeted and shown to a booth with their name embedded on each table. Enrique is our Server and we inquired about Happy Hour and decided to order a couple Frozen Margaritas (we didn't know how big they were until they arrived) - when ordered I remember saying; "Okay" and didn't know what too. Enrique also brought out a basket of Chips with Red Sauce and also White Sauce, which is a Ranch type dip for the Chips. The Chips are Deliciousness with a Light Crunch to them. The Red Sauce is very Tasty and the White (Ranch) Sauce is different to serve with Chips but his stuff has Great Flavor. As we ordered our drinks we spoke with Enrique about their Menu items trying to decide what to get. At this time we received our Margaritas - and they are Soooooo Big they should be served with a Diving Board. These are their 32 ounce Margaritas and the Presentation is a thing of Beauty. Love the V shaped colored stemmed glasses with a thick sliced lime on the rim - and those Fat Straws - the Blue one is mine and the Pink is my Wife's (she loves Pink). We toasted to 'Monday' and WOW are these Margaritas Delicious - and you get a lot of taste coming up those straws. Now it's time to order and we decided on the "Aguacate Empanizado"; Fried Stuffed Avocado (stuffed with Chicken) and covered in a sauce. My Wife's main course is Enrique's favorite; "Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas"; 3 Chicken Enchiladas topped with Sour Cream Sauce. Served with Rice & Beans. I am having one of my Favorites at any Mexican Restaurant; "Chile Relleno"; Roasted Poblano Pepper stuffed with Chicken (choice) and Battered in Egg Coating, Pan Fried, topped with Salsa & Cheese. Served with Rice & Beans. Our orders are placed and now it's time to enjoy more of those Margaritas with those Chips and Sauces. Enrique refilled our basket of Chips and informed us a little more about Alejandro's about their Karaoke on Friday Nights and also Dancing in the Bar Area if you so choose. Soon our Food arrived and the "Aguacate Empanizado" (pronounced- ah-gua-cah-te ehm-pah-nee-sah-doh) and you don't want to know how I say it, but it would end with 'liciousness' because this really is just that. It's not only Beautiful but Very Tasty with lots of Delicious Chicken atop. The Presentation of the Avocado atop the lettuce is a nice touch. My Wife and I shared this and it's one of the Best Stuffed Avocados we have had. Now for our Main Courses -my 'Chile Relleno' (flavorful) is nicely covered in the Cheese Sauce with Tastylicious Chicken on the inside. This Chile Relleno is nicely done and the Rice is Fresh and pairs very well with the Beans (i know it's not wine but it does work). The 'Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas' are thickly covered with the Sour Cream Sauce and each one of the Three Enchiladas are Stuffed with lots of Shredded Licious Chicken. My Wife LoVeS this dish and just about ate all of it, including the Rice and Beans. I had a nice size bite of these and they are Really Good. Every Bite of Everything we had was Tastylicious and more. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes. We are still enjoying our Margaritas and most likely will until next Wednesday - these things are Huge and Delicious with a Nice taste of Tequila coming up those Fat Straws. All Frozen Margaritas should be served with those Fat Straws - it makes it Sooooo Much Easier to get waisted (lol). Nuff said about that, ya just gonna have to go in and give it a try. Enrique stopped at our table often to check on us and was informed us with a lot of information about Alejandro's. He earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and loved it - along with a really nice tip. When we left Alejandro's was beginning to fill up with customers and all the Servers were busy. The have been open for several months now and we were finally able to come in and Celebrate - "Monday" - and we are glad we did. They have some of the Best Tasting Mexican Food in the San Angelo Area and they also have "Hamburgers" & "Chicken Fried Steak" keeping up with what Texans Love - and of course Margaritas and a Full Bar of some Very Uniquely Served Specialty Drinks. On the way to the House my Baby and I enjoyed yet another Beautiful Evening in San Angelo cruising in the Vette-Jet. Love You Baby, Bunches & AlejandrosMunches.

*Always seated quickly, you'll NEVER be checked on. Asked how your food is or if you need a box. Basically you order then wait forever for your bill. Honestly you wait so long I'm sure dine and dash is common. **Margherita-specially peach is NASTY! Had the waitress ever asked how the food was I could have said something. I may have ordered something different. It was a waste of $10.00. It was like drinking the juice from concentrate (like out of the can with the metal lid) with a pump of peach and drizzle of tequila. So....the bartender is probably underage or doesn't drink...or the restaurant is cheap. ***The food is good but not a huge wow factor. **When you pay $60.00 (with economy) there are much better places. This was my second visit and now my last

Our first time at this lovely restaurant. It use to be an oriental restaurant and they have done a great job turning it into a Mexican restaurant. Prices were fairly decent. Not totally out of range. The food was amazing. There was so much flavor in the food. The refried beans had a great Smokey out flavor. I had the green enchiladas and they were amazing. Will be back again.

Nice interior. Poorly trained waitstaff. Food was slightly warmer than room temperature. We had a party of 11 adults, one child. Waitress took our drink order and placed the tray beside me, then instructed me to pass the drinks down the table. When she returned to refill our drinks, she instructed us to send the glasses back to me for refills. Everyones food was cold, so cold that I actually picked up my cast iron skillet with fajitas on it with my bare hands. Yeah, the food was cold. Who puts mozzarella cheese on Mexican food? Alexandro's does!!! On my third refill of water, the waitress brought a pitcher of hot water and filled my glass with it. Try drinking warm water after you've been served cold ice water. On a large table, try to bring plates out as soon as they're placed at the window ,there's no sense in all the food being cold. If you're going to pay with cash, then be prepared to wait around 10 minutes or longer after you've already reminded them about getting your change back. Can I honestly say that the food is good? No, I can't, cold restaurant food doesn't taste good. Even if you take home some leftovers, you'll put them in the microwave to heat the food up. One good thing that I can say is that my 4 year old niece's enchiladas were cold enough that she started eating them without having to blow on them to cool'em.

I would like to give a great review to Brenda at Alejandro's kitchen and tequila. She was a great waitress the food was delicious. And you got to try the jalapeno white sauce.

My chicken fajita plate was disgusting, it tasted like the chicken was soaked in liquid smoke, so they offered me something else....so I ordered tacos , the shells were so stale I couldn't eat them either ...horrible experience !!! Haven't been back since .

The food is outstanding and the waitstaff are very friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to have a drink and eat a great meal at a reasonable price.

My daughter, son-in-law and grandson were in town and we decided to eat here. The place was packed. I am in a wheelchair so they expedited our seating. Our food took awhile likely due to the full house it was ok since it gave us more time to visit. It was well worth the wait. The food not only. was great tasting but it was good looking. It was a pretty good dining experience

If you like your food hot don't come here- they don't believe in hot plates. The food was tasty, but not hot, as most Mexican food is served. Asked the waiter- reply was incomprehensible.

To ordered a l16 oz margarita & chicken fajitas for one! The margarita was average good but not crazy! And the chicken fajitas were dry but good with guacamole and sour cream. Would I go back? YES! Would I order different yes, would I order them again sure! It wasn't terrible 7/10! Server forgot my husband's sides which I thought was weird but the food was good over all was a 7/10!

Oh my. This must be the worst Mexican restaurant in San Angelo. 2 tortillas are served with the fajita plate. The beans must be canned. Portions are small for a Mexican establishment. I was excited to try the battered chile relleno. Unfortunately it tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I'm not sure what was inside. The chips were subpar and the hot sauce was below average. The soda was was decent Square plates don't equal good food. Only high pricing. Trust me and stay away from this joint.

This place is great! Restaurant is big so you don't feel on top of folks like most other places in town. Service is quick and friendly. Food is delicious and drinks are even better. I had the menudo which was the best I have had in town and parrillada for our second visit. Highly recommend you try them out.

Mind blown . I was so impressed with the food and ambiance. Street tacos tasted like they were cooked at a family carne asada! Great serving size and fantastic to the last bite. Borracho beans were like my abuela made them with love. Steak quesadillas were delicious with the perfect mix of cheese and steak. Will definitely be back to eventually try everything on the menu.

Our first time here and food was awesome! Had the concho burrito and couldn't finish it. The white sauce and salsa they serve with the chips is delicious too! 10/10!!!

The food was good, although the service was not. Being a waitress, I know the industry pretty well. However our waitress Laura, I am not sure if it was due to our appearance that we looked young would pass by us without checking in on us. We stacked our plates indicating that we were done with our food. Our food was never picked up. We wanted to continue enjoying the atmosphere by getting another drink, however we were presented with the check. Good food, great atmosphere, crappy service.

Went for the first time yesterday. It took forever for our food to come out. I had the birria tacos and they were cold and tasted old. We asked for limes and were brought ketchup??? The waitress consistently brought and removed the plates right over my babys head which i feel like is common sense not to do. We wont be returning. The food was awful and so was the service.

Microwaved Mexican food...downright Pathetic....or as we call it in South Texas...Plastic Mexican ...next time you microwave your anglicized food...have the sense to put the cheese inside then, nuke it bonehead..Second time I eat there...1st and LAST..for what you charge, maybe hire a real cook not someone who can push a button but, fire up a grill...i shoulda" known it was gonna be horrible when i couldnt hear cooking going on or a familiar smell wafting from the kitchen...

When me and my grandpa went all we ordered was some Carne asada and all he ordered was some pork chops the service was good but it upset you.

We tried last week for first time and have already been back again! Great food, service very good, and a locally owned business to boot! Good sized portions and very tasty!

The restaurant is cute and our server Liz was very welcoming. After that it went downhill rapidly. The margaritas were way too sweet and the rims of glasses not salted and the bases had chips of glass out of them! The appetizer a fried stuffed avocado was anything but a fried avocado and the "stuffing" in our case ground beef was on top. The main course came out minutes after appetizer so that is poor planning! I had the Mexican plate and it was beyond disgusting cold beef enchiladas covered in a fake cheese queso, beef taco was also cold, rice was tasteless, and the refried beans were cold and a disgusting flavor. I sent the plate back to be warmed and it came back still cold and the fake queso cheese had turned to a blackish tar in places. Think fake slices of cheese placed under a broiler not authentic Mexican queso cheese. My spouse had specialty dish which was fish and shrimp broiled with peppers etc. He said the shrimp was good but the fish tasted weird and dirty, his rice was like mine inedible. We let Liz our server know and I suppose we should've asked for a manager to come over. I felt Liz should do that. She asked if we wanted to go boxes as our plates were almost full. We said no, she returned with the check and a measly $7 reduction. The bill was $68 with the deduction. That's a lot of money for food that is served cold, or inedible. This was our first time there and will be the last. San Angelo has much better choices. Try the authentic ones in downtown San Angelo like Fuentes Cafe our food was excellent!
