Aletti Palace Hotel

This is not a 4-star hotel as it is advertised. Three at best.||The "palace" element of the name ends at the exterior. Inside it is tired, worn and in need of significant refurbishment and modernisation. There is no air conditioning (nor even fans available in recognition of this). What hotel nowadays doesn't have A/C?! The room has peeling/curling wallpaper. The 1970s pink(!) carpet is marked with stains in the middle of the room and is grey along all the edges. The grouting in the shower needs cleaning and there is mould growing on the sealant. Laundry service does not exist.||I stayed here 3 nights for an event. But you, readers, will have a choice. Avoid it and wait until the inevitable reopening after an extended closure for modernisation. It will happen; this place won't last long in its current 1970s time warp.

The rooms are very tired. No safe and no AC. No in room coffee or minibar. No parking. Bar furniture is worn out. You can't bill things to the room. Woken at 06 50 by roads works that lasted 5 mins. I would suggest you stay elsewhere where they value your business.

A really nice old style hotel, great prices, vast clean rooms and tasty breakfast. I recommend for a stay in the center of Vichy !!

This was probably once a grand old place but sadly now all a bit shabby and old fashioned. It’s well positioned in the town and our room was enormous, as was the bathroom. It was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view over the Opera; but the curtains were faded and torn, the wallpaper felt like it was clinging on for dear life and the paintwork was in dire need of attention. It looked like they had started updating the bedside lighting but the switches didn’t connect to anything. We had not one but two elderly land- line phones but no charging points and few convenient outlets for plugs. We did struggle with language issues - advertised as ‘English spoken’ which didn’t appear to be the case, but that at least was our problem to put right!

A marvellous old-world hotel that is still buzzy and busy. Dog friendly. A lovely panelled bar and grand staircase. I was ill on the day of my arrival and the staff could not have been kinder. Our room had a lovely view of the Art Nouveau opera house and the park. You could not find a more central location. We took advantage of the room service. It is the first time a proper folding table complete with white cloth, silver service and an ice bucket was delivered to the room. Food choice was a bit limited but all delicious. I could get used to this.

Lovely old hotel with a real sense of grandeur. The rooms are spacious but require an update. The breakfast is lovely and location excellent.

Truly had a wonderful time staying @ The Aletti Palace Hotel. It's grand scale is very inviting. They are extremely friendly and serve a very nice breakfast. It is conveniently located across from the Opera House and a beautiful park. My large room with a private terrace overlooking the swimming pool had been renovated and was very nice with art nouveau furniture and a big bathtub...which I love after a long day of sightseeing. We stayed 1 night (2 adults and our teenager son). Lovely grandeur and art deco details everywhere. From the entrance to the shower. The personnel is very helpful and friendly whilst being extremely professional. It's so refreshing from the standard look a like hotels that you get nowadays.
