Alex Lake Zürich

We stayed at Alex Lake Zurich for my fiancé’s birthday, and honestly, one night was simply not enough. We loved it so much that we already know we’ll be coming back. It’s truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The spa facilities are beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing - exactly what we needed for a special day getaway. The atmosphere throughout the hotel feels calm, elegant, and effortlessly luxurious. What made our stay even more memorable was the exceptional service. The bellboy who welcomed us at check-in was incredibly kind and attentive, and during check-out, Mr. Hannes Bach from the front desk was genuinely warm and professional. Those personal touches made a real difference! The location is also perfect - nestled between Thalwil and Rüschlikon in Zurich, right by the lake. It’s ideal for peaceful morning or evening walks along Lake Zurich. And the view from the bar is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you very much for making this birthday celebration so special. We cannot wait to return!

We loved our stay at Alex Lake. Everyone working at the hotel was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the area. The concierge service was fantastic and helped us make reservations at restaurants that were allergy and diet friendly. We had a chance to go to the spa which was very relaxing. Our bartender Aayush was the best! The drinks were amazing. He told us the science behind making the drinks and was extremely knowledgeable of all of the cocktails. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!!

We had a very pleasant stay, in a clean friendly environment. The views are excellent from all rooms, the breakfast was out of this world of high standard. The diner was to our liking, although we disliked the too much of cherry tomato's we prefere some more the warm season vegetables. The wine choice was ok, not too much.

||I truly enjoyed my stay at Alex. The staff was professional, warm, and genuinely accommodating. After two weeks of skiing in the Swiss Alps, it was the perfect place to land and unwind.||||The property offers the rare feeling of being completely away while still just a short distance from Zurich. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Thalwil, it has the charm and intimacy of a Relais & Châteaux–style property, paired with the confidence and polish of a larger luxury hospitality group.||||It strikes a thoughtful balance between refined individuality and seamless luxury—an elegant, restorative ending to our journey.

I had booked spontaneous this place. I have been to many top rated places and this place has the same vibes. I haven’t heard the words, “sorry, unfortunately, not possible…” this reflects a real successful management. Even though the hotel probably running with high operating expenses, they don’t reflect any minor calculations to the guests. Satisfaction is the priority. This is the luxury. This results a repeating visit in a short time gain. I booked the flight tickets, I am about to book the room again. My family and I stayed here for one night at the beginning of a week long trip to Switzerland. The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Our lake level room was well equated with a roll away bed for my teenage daughter. I was especially impressed to find a small chocolate pastry in my room on the night of my birthday as I hadn’t mentioned this fact upon checkin, a nice and appreciative gesture nonetheless. The restaurant offered fine dining with a selection of local beer and cocktails made to order if preferred. I was pleasantly pleased with our stay and came away well rested and ready to continue our Swiss adventure. My only regret is not having more time to tour Zurich. I highly recommend Alex Lake Zurich should you ever need accommodation for business or pleasure.

Family trip. This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we still love it just as much as before. The surroundings are beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious. It’s right by Lake Zurich, which is very convenient. Parking at the hotel is also very easy, and it only takes 15 minutes to drive to the city center. We will definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip.

If we could rate this hotel 6 out of 5, we would!||We had the most amazing stay and were only sad we were only able to stay one night because of our flight dates.||Our room was incredible; stylish, comfortable, wonderful views and looked after by the most amazing team. Scrupulously clean everywhere, tranquil and quiet, and so conveniently located near Thalwil train station where we were collected by hotel car.||We literally couldn’t be any more complimentary about our stay. ||Photos don’t do our room justice but suffice it to say we couldn’t have been any more impressed. We’re so glad we found this fabulous place.
