Alexander's LGBTQIA+ Guesthouse

We were fortunate to spend a few nights at Alexander’s Guest House in early December 2024. As first-timers, it was as inviting, inclusive and lovely as we’d hoped! From booking with Tim over the phone in July, to Roman seeing us off on our last evening, hospitality was in peak form at every turn.||We found room #12 super comfortable (amenities include in-room safe, iron, hair dryer, Roku TV with pre-set logins for Netflix and Hulu, Keurig, mini fridge, microwave, etc.), and even boasts a Murphy bed to accommodate additional occupants when needed. More great touches include the tiled bathroom with large shower and rainfall shower head, plus remote controlled AC unit and ceiling fans. If I could recommend one change, it would be the addition of blackout curtains for those of us who love pitch black when we sleep. 😉||On property, the vibe was completely chill. The heated pool is great (max depth 5’), with adjoining bar (super great bottle prices — not marked up very much at all), complimentary coffee station, filtered water unit (great for refilling your reusable bottles!), and lots of games/puzzles/cards/books to enjoy at your leisure. Second- and third-floor sun decks offer more relaxation opportunities, with reserved areas for smoking or clothing-optional sunbathing. (We didn’t make use of bike rentals, opting instead to walk, but great to have the availability!) Included breakfast is a terrific provision, and coming together with other resort visitors to dine each morning was one of the high points.||Overall, Alexander’s gets top marks for the ease of our stay, the quiet/relaxing nature of the property, and the superb accommodations and hospitality. We felt super welcomed at every turn and can definitely appreciate why so many patrons opt to return time and time again, which we newbies hope to emulate! Thanks to all!

Alexander's Guesthouse made for a perfect stay. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Significantly better than many other guesthouse experiences. My room was very spacious and well appointed - and the wonderful ladies on staff kept it very neat and clean!! I was impressed by the expanded breakfast offer - much better than the usual cold cereal and store bought pastries at most. The gentleman who manned the breakfast was terrific and makes a great omelette! They also host a great afternoon cocktail hour!|But the best part of the stay was really the terrific staff across every area. They are polite, efficient and generous with their time and their help. I can't say enough good things about every member of the team that I interacted with. They really made my staff comfortable and enjoyable.

I've been a guest at Alexander’s since the guesthouse was opened more than 40 years ago. It was magical then and its even better today. The physical property is spotless; its renewed and improved constantly. And the staff is incredible, many of whom from managers to housekeepers are long term employees. If you're wanting a truly memorable experience in Key West, give Alexander’s a try.

My stay at Alexander's Guesthouse was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Being my first stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure I knew about all the amenities, gave us a quick tour, and treated us to a welcome drink to unwind. The guesthouse itself is a charming oasis in the heart of Key West. The rooms are beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the cozy ambiance and the attention to detail in the decor. The daily breakfast was a delightful surprise. The spread was delicious and varied, offering something for everyone. It was the perfect way to start each day of my vacation. The pool area was another highlight. It was the ideal spot to relax, soak up the sun, and meet fellow travelers. The happy hour was a fun way to unwind after a day of exploring Key West. Alexander's Guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance of Duval Street and all the attractions Key West has to offer. It was the perfect base for my adventures in this vibrant city. I would highly recommend Alexander's Guesthouse to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Key West. The combination of exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere made my trip truly unforgettable. Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing. What a treat to vacation at. The grounds and the rooms are meticulously maintained and gorgeous. They provide really thoughtful daily offerings, such as a free happy hour (to meet and mingle with other guests) and a very well stocked and freshly cooked daily breakfast. Last but not least, the staff are awesome. They aren’t only very professional and one step ahead of you, they’re fun and friendly, too. You can’t help but get caught up chatting with them whenever you come or go. We plan on returning in 2026 (if they have space for us 🤞).

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Alexander's! From the moment we booked our room to the check out process, we were treated so well. Everyone is extremely friendly, the rooms are gorgeous, and the pool and happy hour were great additions to our stay in Key West. My partner was celebrating her birthday and they brought us a cupcake and played her favorite song! The special touches were just the icing on the cake to an amazing trip. We would highly recommend visiting Alexander's and we will most certainly be returning in the future.

Friendliest staff ever. Very attentive to service and meeting guests’ needs. Comfortable beds. Pleasant atmosphere throughout. Great daily breakfast with lots of fruit, baked goods and entree and friendly happy hour every day .. both included. Beautiful well-kept spaces. Wonderful.

The staff treats you like family! You are free to be yourself and often meet other amazing people who travel. I never want to leave when my vacation time is up and I’ve limited my travels to other places because I can’t wait to come back to Key West. If I weren’t able to get a room at Alexanders Guesthouse I would likely not visit until they had a vacancy. It would be too sad to miss seeing the staff and enjoying time with them!
