Alexandra Barcelona Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton (Barcelona, Catalonia) 5 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"While the stylish Alexandra Barcelona is, in fact, a Hilton, it’s part of their Curio Collection, a selection of upscale boutique-style hotels whose personality and visual identity remain independent from that of the parent chain. And if the brand association gives you some confidence that there’s a professional operation running things behind the scenes, that’s a good thing. And it’s got quite a lot going for it." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at this Hilton hotel in the beating heart of Barcelona, and the location alone is worth the stay. You’re literally in the center of everything — shops, restaurants, cultural highlights — it’s all within walking distance. Top location if you want to explore the city by foot.||Let’s start with the essentials, which Hilton consistently delivers:|– Quiet rooms despite the central location|– Full blackout curtains for proper rest|– Silent, effective air conditioning|– A clean and well-equipped bathroom with both bathtub and shower||The room itself was small, and this is something to expect in most central Barcelona hotels. It’s compact — to the point that two adults cannot pass the bed at the same time — but it’s intelligently laid out, and the comfort and cleanliness were spot on.||We enjoyed a fresh and extensive breakfast with a lot of variety, perfect to fuel up before a long day in the city. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful — from the moment we arrived with our luggage to guiding us toward the nearby parking.||A note about the parking situation: the hotel does not have on-site parking. You’ll need to park in a public garage two blocks away (about a 5-minute walk). You do get a discount using the hotel’s code, but you still need to pay. Unfortunately, during our early morning departure, there was no staff present at the garage, so we couldn’t apply the discount and ended up paying full price — something to be aware of if you have an early flight.||One great perk was the rooftop pool — small but charming, and a perfect way to cool down after a hot day in the city. We took an evening swim and found it very refreshing.||Despite the compact room size and minor parking inconvenience, we felt the overall value was very fair. Hilton once again shows its signature standard of comfort and service, and that sense of trust and consistency was clearly present.||Most importantly, we made a mistake in the hotel booking dates, the staff managed to still accommodate a very nice room. Topservice! ||If we return to Barcelona — and we will — we’d gladly stay here again.|Great value for money, with the unbeatable bonus of being in the center of it all.

This is a 5++ hotel for sure. First let's start with people as people make places. The people and the service at this hotel are world class - from the front desk to the restaurant/bar/pool staff to the security and the cleaning crew. They are top notch professionals who are kind, understanding, welcoming, fast to react and do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and your stay unforgettable. The restaurants and bars offer everything you need - great food, drinks and outstanding service. The pool and the gym are great - providing you just enough to cool off, relax and work off that fabulous tapas :), The rooms are great - all are different - yet they are all roomy, comfy, have great AC, and are super clean. The beds are very comfy as are the pillows. You will sleep well here for sure as well as eat, drink and socialise (if you want). We travel all over the world and by far, this hotel ticks all the boxes. It feels like home and deserves 5+ stars. Thank you everyone at Hotel Alexandra for being outstanding. :)

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Alexandra Hotel for three days, and it was an exceptional experience! 🌟 The hotel’s location was so close to the shops! Everything was walking distance. Even the infamous Batllo was only 5 minutes away (by foot)! Our room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, featuring a comfortable bed and stunning views of the city. 🛌✨ The pool area is perfect for lounging and unwinding, they have a bar right next to it. Breakfast was fantastic, offering a delightful variety of delicious options that we both loved. 🥐🍓 The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent local recommendations that truly enhanced our stay. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city and can't wait to return! 🇪🇸❤️

We had a wonderful stay during a 2 night period. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and accommodating. They ensured we had everything needed. Breakfast was in the restaurant above the lobby. A good selection of hot food, cold food and pastries. Room sizes were nice and bathrooms were exceptional and larger than ones we’ve seen in Europe. It’s a great location for shopping and walking distance to La Pedrera & Casa Battlo (~.2 miles or 2-3 blocks). Lots of excellent restaurants in the area and you can call cab service from the desk if you want to travel. Overall we’d highly recommend as excellent hotel and at a good price.

We stayed at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel (Curio Collection by Hilton) and were thoroughly impressed from the moment we arrived!||We got in just after 8am and, as expected, our room wasn’t ready yet — but the front desk staff welcomed us warmly, stored our luggage, and within 1.5 hours emailed us that our room was ready — and even gave us a free upgrade with a view of the pool! When we walked in, our bags were already in the room, along with a sweet welcome note and chocolates. 👏🍫||The room was modern, comfortable, and spotless, with a super comfy bed. The front desk went above and beyond, helping us with attraction tickets and arranging a taxi to the airport for the following morning. Staff even double-checked and confirmed that the driver who showed up was the one they pre-booked — really appreciated that level of care.||The location is fantastic:||Very safe, clean, and walkable|15-min drive to cruise port (€25)|20-min drive to airport (€35–€40)|20–25 min walk to Sagrada Familia|Short walk to Las Ramblas|20 min walk to the Market|Easy walk to the Gothic Quarter||Bonus: You can rent bikes directly from the lobby, which is a fun way to explore the area!||The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We absolutely loved our time in Barcelona and would 100% stay at the Alexandra again without hesitation!||✅ Excellent service|✅ Perfect location|✅ Clean, stylish rooms|✅ Great amenities|✅ Fantastic value||Highly recommend! 👏🇪🇸

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way back to NYC after our trip to Spain. It was a good choice. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked beautifully. The shower was great. The room was a tad dark but it didn’t mar our stay. The breakfast was fine for a hotel. The location was excellent. You are surrounded by Gaudi buildings if that’s your thing.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were friendly. Small but nice gym. Pool and terrace area was very relaxing. Food offerings were very good! Room and bathroom were very spacious. It appears all the rooms have different layouts. My cousins room had the sink right in the room with a separate room for the toilet. Not sure I would have liked that. Our bathroom was a separate room. Comfortable bed. Great location and very walkable to restaurants, bars, and attractions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay here. The staff was so helpful and accommodating, providing us with recommendations, taxi arrangements, and anything else we needed. The breakfast spread was substantial and was a treat we always looked forward to. Our rooms were clean and comfortable - we especially appreciated the blackout curtains and luxurious bedding that helped us adjust to the time difference more easily. The location was in a very safe area and walking distance to many great cafes, restaurants, and shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!
