We are used to go whenever we are in Knokke to Alexandra restaurant 🍴 It is always a good experience. Our table has been in the veranda which was an excellent place as we have been accompanied by our dog 🐶 🐕 He was welcome and the owner told us that his brother owns a dog of the same breed.
We have arrived at 19h30, ordered the menu, a starter, vitello tonnato, a tuna steak and a dame blanche. Nothing spectular. However, this time there was a waiting time of one hour between the dishes, so that we left the restaurant around 23h.
The quality of the food was very good. The vitello tonato well prepared, tasty and fresh. The tuna steak was awesome. Right point of cooking. Just perfect. The mussels sauce had a bit too much cream but this is an individual impression.
The dame blanche was ok.
All in all, the food was very good. The waiting time was not acceptable. I have complained and the answer was "we have had 83 plates to serve". I do fully understand but one could have announced it in forehand and offer example given, a coffee as a commercial gesture.
I guess, this evening was an exception and therefore I still can recommend the restaurant for its quality food!
