Great atmosphere with natural shade and a beautiful garden that makes the whole place feel cozy and inviting. The food was delicious — especially the pork gyros, which I’d definitely recommend trying. The menu offers a nice variety of dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The staff were friendly and welcoming, though they did forget our order, which was a bit frustrating. Still, it’s a lovely spot to stop by for a relaxed and tasty lunch.

It is a family restaurant. Atmosphere is a pleasant one on it's terrace, which is covered. Waiters are very kind, and take time for service, will exchange few words don't only run around. They are assertive and make what it takes to make guests feel well. Service is quick and precise, you feel valued here. Food is delicious and portions are big, they are delivered quite quickly. At the end you will get a free desert, we got a tasty combination of Greek yogurt with honey and cinnamon. They even have a covered private parking for customers. I recommend this place to have a great dinner in a pleasant atmosphere after a day on the beach at Mirtos Beach, but not only. Go eat there, you'll thank me later 😉

It was one the best dinner we had in Kefalonia. Even though it was very crowded, the foods came very quickly. They tasted great. They served watermelon at the end on the house which was on the house. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I visited this local taverna near Myrtos beach in 2016 and now again in 2025. It has not changed. It still has the same authenticity of 9 years ago. The family that run this taverna show love and care in every dish that they cook. The yemista (stuffed tomatoes), Kefaloanian Pie and Pastitsio are all great meals. If I ever come back to Kefalonia Alexandros Taverna will be the first place I come to eat. They provide excellent service and you feel very welcome at this taverna.

This family-owned gem in the mountains of Kefalonia is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The view is breathtaking, the atmosphere peaceful, and the food—absolutely delicious. I’ve been twice: once for lamb chops and once for slow-cooked lamb, both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service is warm and genuine, especially the kind and friendly waitress. To top it off, they serve complimentary loukoumades at the end—fresh, crunchy, and traditionally made with honey and cinnamon. A beautiful touch that made the meal even more special. I was surprised to see a couple of suspicious negative reviews, but don’t let them fool you—this place serves top-quality food in a truly special setting. Highly recommended!

We picked this place for our last dinner during this trip in Kefalonia:). I've had the veal in tomato sauce, which was really good and tender. The portions are quite big. Both dishes were €13 each. Also, I appreciated that the waited wished us bon appetit in our mother language, Romanian.
