Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar @ Great Eastern Mall Ampang

The place is at a corner of Ground Floor of Great Eastern Mall in Jalan Ampang. It’s been there for many years. Looks posh and high end. The atmosphere is cozy with not so bright lightings. There’s a small stage at a corner for ac2-3 piece band playing live Jazz music. Service was fast, professional, very attentive and courteous. Well trained. Food is acceptable quality and taste, but a little pricey for the portion served. Overall, a nice cozy place for couple or group lunch or dinner. Food is good if don’t mind about the price. Maybe paying for the services and atmosphere.

Alexis Bistro is a wonderful spot that combines a cozy ambiance with top-notch food. While their menu offers a great selection, what truly stands out is their pavlova. It's simply divine—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with fresh fruits and cream that perfectly balance the sweetness. Definitely a must-try for dessert enthusiasts! I highly recommend their calamari rings—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served with a zesty lemon wedge.

Cosy ambience, lighting is a little dimmed. Cafe is cleaned. Service crew is very attentive although the size of the cafe is huge (can seat about 20 to 30 tables). Alcohol is served here 🍺🍹🍸🍷🥃. Food 🍔🍟🥩🌯🌮🥪🌭 is served hot and able to customise except for salad 🥗 and cake 🍰🎂🍧🥧 😋. Tiramisu is a must try 🥰🤩 Kudos guys 😉

Had my birthday dinner with my sis and aunty, the service was good. The food is nice but expensive, we tried margarita pizza, spag fresh clams and lamb briyani, the cake was good :) we tried 2 different kambucha

Food was great and the ambience just nice & cool. But my poor son was bitten by numbers of blood sucker mosquitoes 😩. Lucky the waiter borrowed us the mosquitoes repellent but still the skin was red and bump out till itchiness feeling is killing... 😱😵🥺. Hope the management can do necessary fogging on midnight to remove those vampire mosquitoes before anyone getting dengue. 🙏 Thanks. Anyway we will be back. 😊🙏

The food were generally mediocre. Calamari was a little soggy and lack the crisp. Nasi lemak was decent but not special. Carbonara had too much cream.

We had a good time catching up with a long time friend at the comfort of a nice relaxing space in Alexis. Service was prompt but a bit messy and not attentive to our needs, very transactional, not friendly. Food was kinda average for the price we paid. The fruit juice was pretty much just a full glass of ice with very little liquid. Our request for a pasta well done (ie not al dente) was not met but the pizzas and the sarawak laksa was ok.
