Alexis Motel and Apartments

Great place for a stay in Queenstown. Walking distance of the town center where all the restaurants and shops are. Our apartment was very spacious with a kitchenette and everything you may need during your stay. There's a coin-operated washer and dryer on the property.

The motel is situated in a beautiful location with views of the lake and the city. However, depending on the room type, the view could either be direct or just partial. From here, you can walk along the lakeside road to the city center—it’s not too far, only about 800 meters. The rooms are cozy, clean, and equipped with good-quality beds, a kitchen, and a microwave. We booked two types of rooms at the same price, but one had a washer and dryer while the other didn’t. Still, it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, it’s value for money.

An excellent place to stay with a group. We were running late for our check in , I rang ahead and they explained the procedure and it was no problem for them. We had 2x 2 bedroom units. They were clean and tidy. Housekeeping was done daily, it was good having fresh towels etc. Parking was good. Thanks for having us.

Great location, 10 minutes to the waterfront and restaurants,shops etc. the reality reflected the photos, the view was excellent each day, the room was very comfortable.

Great views not far from queenstown,you can walk down the hill to the lake and follow the more scenic path into town takes a bit longer but worth it .Rooms are large they have a kitchenette, so easy stay here for a fortnight.

We loved Alexis Motel! We found very friendly and helpful staff. Kyle did a great job in greeting us, showing us our room and helping us orient ourselves in Queenstown. The location was perfect. Most rooms have a great view. They are comfortable and spacious. Kitchenette had everything we needed. The prices were one of the most reasonable in Queenstown.

Great apartments above the lake off the Frankton Road in Queenstown. Our apartment had a hob and a spa bath along with nice lake and mountain views. Friendly and helpful staff. The apartment was quiet despite being close to the main road. Walk down Suburb Street to the Lake and then turn right and it’s a 15 - 20 minute walk into Queenstown.

We were thrilled with our room, and its spectacular dual aspect views over the lake! We had seen TA reviews recommending room 11 so we asked for it specifically, and it was well worth it. We had a table and chairs on the balcony right outside our door.||The room was well equipped, clean and roomy, and was a good temperature. There was good Wi-Fi and good tv apps/channels. The bed was very comfortable. There was underground parking.||The staff in reception were very helpful and recommended ideas for activities.||The walk into town was about 15 minutes downhill. It wasn’t that bad walking back up! We had an evening stroll around the shops. Queenstown has a lovely feel about it, like a mountain ski resort.||I would definitely stay at this motel again.

We stayed here for originally two nights but extended to a third because we enjoyed Queenstown and the Alexis so much. Let's start with the location. On the Main Rd into Queenstown from Frankton. It's less than 1km from the centre of Queenstown. Arriving at the hotel you access the basement car park from a steep but not difficult side road. Up to this point I have not mentioned anything about the views, and they are very special. At the rear you can see the mountain with the Gondola ride to the top, at the front are the views of the wonderfully, almost surreal blue colour of Lake Wakitipu, while the views of the mountains including the Remarkables is simply stunning. It does not matter what the weather is like, the views are quite incredible. Checking you will find the hotel run by a really friendly down to earth couple who go out of their way on recommendations both in Queenstown and further afield. They are more than willing to spend time talking to you even while they have racks of brochures in the reception showing you ways to spend your time in the vicinity. There is no substitute for this level of communication. The rooms are very comfortable, with plenty of space including a kitchen area. With thin Singapore blood in our veins, we found we needed the heater and it did a great job of warming up the room. Cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding, as were all aspects of our stay here. Very highly recommended.
