In May we rented the Panoramic Lakeview studio for two nights. All correspondence with the manager, Morgan, for this booking was answered very quickly and she also assisted to help provide us with information concerning our stay in Queenstown. The motel is located within an easy flat 2 min walk from the town bus stop if you catch the public bus from the airport. Booking in was easy and with a welcoming smile. The room was clean and very spacious with the promised views. The pictures on their website show exactly what you get. The kitchenette was adequate to prepare our meals. The heating in the room was great for the very cold nights. The office staff went out of their way to assist us during our stay. As mentioned in other reviews walking back to the motel from town you do have steep slopes to walk up but you could always pay $2 each and catch the town bus back. The bus stop is located across the road from the motel. If l ever go back to Queenstown l will be staying here again and would highly recommend this motel to friends . Thanks for a great stay

Really enjoyed our stay here! It was very conveniently located within walking distance to the Queenstown Market. The rooms were spacious and well equipped for long stays. Our only issue was that half of the towels were notably damp when we arrived, but staff were quick to rectify our issue when alerted. The view from both our patio and the bedroom window were great.

We've been to New Zealand six times and this is one of our favorite motels. The location is fantastic, just a short ~8 minute walk to downtown (even closer to the beautiful botanical gardens). Our room was enormous, beautifully decorated and had a partial view of the mountains and lake. A small kitchenette included a microwave, fridge, tea, coffee and fresh milk. The bed was super comfortable. ||AC was a big plus and appreciated. We were there on days that were cloudy and with temps in the 60s and it helped a lot. ||There is free (!) parking in their garage, which was easy to navigate (no concerns about tiny parking spaces and poles to navigate around). Guest laundry was available - $4 for the washer and $4 for the dryer.||The staff were extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice views, very comfortable and convenient. Super clean! The mattresses were awesome. It’s a 10-minute walk to town by road or lake. Both ways involve climbing a hill but we didn’t mind as we were here to move and exercise. Very good value and enjoyed the kitchen and living area. Great choice!

We have had a lovely 3 night stay here - the room (a one room suite) was spacious, clean, well appointed & had a lovely view over the lake. The staff were very helpful & friendly, showing us to our room & answering all our questions. After a lot of driving around NZ, it was great to be able to park our car in the under cover garage & walk into the town, either around the side of the lake (about 20 mins) or down the main road (about 10 mins). We definitely recommend staying here if you are ever in Queenstown!

Very good location with amazing view. The bed is very comfortable and even has heating bed sheet. Next to the street but very quiet at night. Free car parking under the building.

Great place for a stay in Queenstown. Walking distance of the town center where all the restaurants and shops are. Our apartment was very spacious with a kitchenette and everything you may need during your stay. There's a coin-operated washer and dryer on the property.

I'm not sure where all the good reviews are coming from. My stay was awful, NO HOT WATER! COLD ROOM, HEATER DOES NOT WORK!||Got the panoramic view room, I paid $300 for a night without hot water.||I arrived late around 10pm and the office was closed, told me to check-in the next day.||I went to the office at 8am, check-out is at 10am. I asked if it was okay to accommodate an 11am check-out, only 1 hour, they said no.||The hot water never worked, I was unable to shower during my stay.||The room is VERY cold. I set the thermostat to 30 degrees, the heater clearly does not work.||Please save your money and book elsewhere.

Yelp
We stayed here for originally two nights but extended to a third because we enjoyed Queenstown and the Alexis so much. Let's start with the location. On the Main Rd into Queenstown from Frankton. It's less than 1km from the centre of Queenstown. Arriving at the hotel you access the basement car park from a steep but not difficult side road. Up to this point I have not mentioned anything about the views, and they are very special. At the rear you can see the mountain with the Gondola ride to the top, at the front are the views of the wonderfully, almost surreal blue colour of Lake Wakitipu, while the views of the mountains including the Remarkables is simply stunning. It does not matter what the weather is like, the views are quite incredible. Checking you will find the hotel run by a really friendly down to earth couple who go out of their way on recommendations both in Queenstown and further afield. They are more than willing to spend time talking to you even while they have racks of brochures in the reception showing you ways to spend your time in the vicinity. There is no substitute for this level of communication. The rooms are very comfortable, with plenty of space including a kitchen area. With thin Singapore blood in our veins, we found we needed the heater and it did a great job of warming up the room. Cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding, as were all aspects of our stay here. Very highly recommended.
