Very clean, comfortable, welcoming hotel, right in the university/shopping/dining area. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff.
Comfortable beds, pillows, linens. Heated mattress pad on the beds was welcome on a chilly summer evening!
Bathrooms large with very effective heater. Bring your own hair conditioner if you want it (or buy some at the chemist or corner shop a block away).
Kitchenette equipped with everything I needed for travel breakfast (mini-fridge, kettle, teapot, dishes, and cutlery for yogurt and fruit; two electric burners, but I didn’t use them).
I rarely watch TV but happened to be here during the Olympics and it was great to have the sky channels and be able to watch some events.
I like this place so much I stayed here twice in one trip. Both rooms were toward the back so minimal road noise; i’m a light sleeper, and it didn’t disturb my sleep at all.
I will stay here again when I return, and would recommend it to anyone. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s just right and had everything I needed or wanted.
If you have a large vehicle, talk with reception for advice on where to park they have plenty of spaces up a short steep(ish) hill, but also a few around the other side of the building that are flatter and easier to maneuver.
