Alfies Antique Market

Alfie’s Antique Market is a great place to explore, with several floors of different stalls selling all kinds of decorative and antique pieces. It’s definitely worth visiting if you’re shopping for yourself or your own collection. Prices can be on the higher side for dealers, though a few vendors were open to bartering while others weren’t. It would be helpful if the stalls listed their opening times instead of just phone numbers, since a few we wanted to see were closed for the day. Overall, a fun and interesting spot for personal treasure hunting.

A really great antique market! There’s so many things you won’t be able to see in the United states. All the stall owners were very friendly and educational. We really liked Michael French artwork! We talked to him for a bit and he was amazing! All the workers were so kind and friendly! Definitely recommend to shop here and see all the amazing historical pieces!

For our trip to London, I wanted to find antique shops for some treasure hunting- and through an internet search I found Alfies. Alfies was a great one stop shop- tons to see! This place is pretty big, with many vendors all throughout. It had so many hidden nooks, it was the perfect place to hang for an hour and do some shopping. I found some amazing treasures to bring home- and next time I am in London, I’ll definitely be back!

A fun places to find gems, good selection and prices for vintage jewelry. But I got ripped off buying a fake christian dior scarf for $110 from a lady in upstairs. Be careful for fake designer items. It has a nice cafe on the roof top with great bake potatoes and scones.

Alfie's is an indoor antique market. It is on several floors, large and rambling. There was an amazing vintage Christmas decorations stall that blew my mind and, although expensive, the decorations are gorgeous! Most stalls were closed on our visit which was a shame and on a Friday?! There is a really nice cafe. Overall it depends what you're looking for and your budget but there is a wide variety of vintage and antique items covering a vast selection of jewelry, home decor, lighting and furniture. The 60s/70s furniture and decor is wonderful, even just to browse through, have deep pockets though...

We went for the baked potatoes at the rooftop cafe which were amazing, highly recommend. Did not realize what we were in for on our ascent to the cafe, just an amazing treasure trove of old and new things. If you are after something unique or just a delicious baked potato, recommend it highly.

Huge mall full of individual antique stores. As always with these places, the stall owners are pretty snotty, unapproachable and dusty old people that make the experience of looking around less enjoyable than you might hope. It’s seemingly an issue with the whole industry but you feel it when walking round this cavernous building replete with expensive bric a brac. The best thing you can do, is to take some brief relief in the rooftop cafe which is probably the only place you’ll find a bargain price in the whole market.

Some good stalls and interesting to walk through the giant building, but very high prices and lots of modern stuff being passed off as antiques. Lots was closed on a Saturday, so best to visit in the week.

My family has been coming here for years! Well before I was born. We're not local-we're Americans, and on every visit this was a must stop. There are many antiques from Alfies in my home that we inherited from my mother and smaller special keepsakes from my time living in London in my 20s. My husband & I spent part of our honeymoon in London, and it was his first time in the city (September/October 2024) and this was a nonnegotiable stop for me. Plan to spend a few hours wandering around and exploring-it's humongous! Also, generally speaking not on the inexpensive side but you can always find some gem's. I can remember on one visit when I was 19, we stumbled on a vendor that didn't realize what he had, it was a 20 year old authentic bubblegum pink Kelly (Hermes) and he had it priced under $1000. I still to this day regret not buying it for resale alone (bubblegum pink is not for me lol)

I love this place! It's full of amazing finds! There is an eclectic collection, they have great pieces and are super friendly. I liked it so much I had to go back the next day. If you are looking for a unique or special piece, this is a great stop. I am beyond thrilled with my purchases!

It would be an understatement to say that I am besotted with antiques. I love them. Can't get enough of them. Know London's antique and vintage purveyors like the back of my proverbial hand. And Alfie's is one of my favourites, a veritable antique market located in trendy Marylebone. With dealers selling clothes, fine and costume jewellery, furniture, textiles and collectibles, Alfie's should satisfy the needs of even the most ardent collector. And with a surprisingly accessible atmosphere at odds with the sometimes rarefied world of antiques and vintage, Alfie's is perfect for a browse for the expert and neophyte alike. I visited Alfie's just before Christmas last year and spotted cute as a button Mark Owen from Take That looking incredibly dapper. This is the place for vintage/antique fans to find unique Christmas presents without recourse to the high street.

i absolutely and unequivocally do not recommend this market!!! i was racially profiled and falsely accused of stealing by a white shop owner. she followed me and continued to scream at me. even as i (and my mother) politely told her she was mistaken. Also, we had already purchased a pearl necklace from another booth, as well as lunch from the cafe and were casually browsing when she approached me, yelling. Do not spend your money here!!!

Visited at 14:00 on a weekday, and hardly a single booth was open. This place is a ghost town for supposedly being the largest antique market in London.

I'm convinced that when Ariel turned human, her first major decision after discovering what a fire is and why does it... what's the word... burn, decided to relocate her treasure trove of from the depths of the ocean to St John's Wood. Her tastes have matured however, and instead of 'gadgets and gizmos aplenty', you'll find a beautiful collection of furniture, glassware, art, lighting, vinyl, textiles and ohmygodthejewellery! I could have spent all day browsing (not a 'digging' place, mind you) through stall after stall of beautiful antique and vintage pieces ranging from early 1900s all the way through the über stylistic features of the late 60s. Make this happen on your next free Saturday. Trust me.

I can honestly say I've never seen anything like Alfie's before. You could certainly get lost for weeks inside this maze of a building. What fun to wander up and down the 3 floors, checking out the amazing collections of antique furniture, lights, vintage clothes, books, signs, everything you could ever think of! If I had more money and more space in my flat, I'd certainly be dropping loads of cash here. I'd recommend going on a Saturday, because you can also visit the Church Street market right outside. It's a typical street market, but they have TONS of fresh fruit and veg stalls, and yummy-smelling food a-cookin'. We had lunch at the rooftop restaurant inside Alfie's. So far, the best value for money meal I've had in London. Insanely cheap and tasty food!

Alfie's Antique Market, and experience which i want to relive over and over again In what was an old Department store until the 1960's Alfie's houses a treasure trove of antiques,curios galore,with a ecletic mix of stuff. Some of the dealers are more experienced,trustworthy and less rude and in your face,but the vast majority know their stuff. The rooftop cafe also refreshes you if the maze of antiques dealers wears you out. A short difference from Marylebone Station,which can be reached on the Bakerloo line,its an experience,and much more wacky,fun and less expensive and snobby than the overrated Grays This place has inspired me more about antiques more than ever,and along with the Fantastic Portobello road,remains a staple part of why i love London so much.

If you're looking to get lost in, as another reviewer put it, Ariel's treasure trove this is the place. The range of vintage items from pins to furniture to clothing is incredibly impressive! Alfie's is spread across four different floors and one could spend the whole day lost here! It's a very good place for a wonder. One of our favorite parts was the cafe. At the very top of the market is a very quaint roof top cafe. They serve extremely good cakes and do a cake and coffee deal for 3.50GBP. We enjoyed refueling here after some shopping! Alfie's is one of the unique London gems!

What a gem - an interesting and fun variety of all things antiques. Every corner you turn and every room you visit you'll bound to find something that will pique your senses. One visit might not be enough to visit all the nooks and crannies of this place - but it's a great excuse to come back. Check out the map of the place before you go - interested in Costume Jewelry? One of my favorite features of London, and I definitely plan on returning with my mom who is an avid antiques lover. If you're looking for something to do on an afternoon by yourself, this is a great option. You can get lost amongst all the amazing rooms and great for "window shopping"- the most I think I've ever bought from an Alfie's vendor was a witty vintage postcard, but yet I've returned again and again. Although I would ideally love to be able to have the funds to purchase one of the amazing art deco light fixtures or mod furniture- all of it is in pristine condition, I've never seen anything like it. One feature I discovered on a recent Alfie's trip is the roof top cafe- it was so charming and wonderful! The girls who worked there were really sweet, charismatic, and helpful- and you could sit outside or inside. The food is fairly simple English, but also reasonably priced.

The dealers are very nice. But it's not worth the effort! Very disappointed in selections and prices. Seems to be a very stale place where items may have sat for years. Did not try the cafe upstairs. The receptionist is very nice. Bathrooms very clean. Once again not worth the effort it took to get there.

Four floors filled with vintage, antiques and a lovely roof top kitchen you can't ever regret coming here. Even if you are only browsing the dealers are lovely and happy to share their knowledge. And the food combined with the Marylebone view on the terrace can't possible convince you to never want to come back to this gem on Church street!

Great antique/collectable market in large 3 storey building, lots of seperate stalls selling a variety of clothes, accessories and homeware items. On the ground floor is a great shop calledthe girl can't help it selling vintage 40's & 50's clothes, jewellery and accessories- prices are high, but most of the items have been cherry-picked. Lots of amzing lucite purses, and bakelite jewellery! There is also a lot of mid-century furniture on the 1st flr, top floor there's a cafe with a terrace. It's great for a day out, lots of lovely items! All the people tha work there are very friendly!

This is an excellent place for anything vintage, retro or antique and if you're looking for something a bit special clothes, jewellery, fabrics, furniture, you can find everything here and if you look hard enough, some really valuable items for a steal! A couple of my friends found their wedding jewellery here - earring, necklaces and hair jewels - all stunning and unique. There's stall after stall of beautiful and interesting things to wear.. from vintage pearls and old Christian Dior diamonds, to designer dresses, bags and coats from 1920's through to the 90s! Give yourself a bit of time to spend in here though, don't come in a rush, there's lots to look at and rummage through on a number of floors. Some of the shop owners (who look as old as the antiques they are selling!) try to keep you with them as long as possible, telling you all the history of their items, to encourage a sale - it can be very hard to get away! Kate Moss has been snapped coming out of here and could be where she finds some of the really cute vintage pieces in her famous wardrobe

From Victorian period to 70s futuristic, there is something in Alfie's antique market to intrigue just about anyone. Some bargains, some overpriced but what a place to explore. This place is a tardis. Looks small on the outside but there are 3 floors of antiques and curiosities to explore. There's also a few vintage clothes stalls with some unique pieces but the majority is glassware, furniture and bits and bobs. If you're into antiques and furnishings, definitely check this place out.

I know a few London antiques markets, Alfie's is a secret gem. A building with 3 floors hosts a few dozens of dealers and shops, giving you one-stop shopping opportunity from silver to painting, from fabric to ceramics, from furniture to glassware. Everything you can bargain! Comparing with world famous Portobello Road Market, this market is compact but professional, with more genuine and reasonably priced stuffs. Enjoy exploring, and when you get out of building, nearby there is another outdoor market with fruits, veg, crafts and cheap electronic products.

I went here last Saturday after hearing about it from Nina's hair parlour which is situated in the same building. A short walk from marylebone station, this yellow art deco building stands out against the local street market that sits infront of it. This place is a must if you enjoy looking at tit bits, collectables and anything vintage with an array of vintage clothes shops, antiques and 40's & 50's rock and roll record shops. As stated in the previous reviews everywhere you turn there is something exciting to look at, the inside of the building feels like you've been given the key to someone's house and have been let loose. I popped to the vintage clothes shop inside named 'The Girl can't Help it' but sadly everything I picked up had a 3 figure price tag, I also popped into 'tin tin collectables' but again the same sad story, a 3 figure price tag even for a garment that had alot of wear and tear. On the basment floor is an antique/modern home furnishing section with some amazing pieces ranging from an art deco drinks cabinet to a glass table with an aeroplane motor for a stand. I also visited the rooftop restaurant but it didn't impress, plain food that took a while to get to me but then that wasn't my main reason for going to the market. All in all I did love this place but couldn't afford a thing here, maybe best to pop here if you are after something in particular and want to splash the cash or want to have a roam

Alfies is like a mini version of Portobello maket. You have the same arcade type setting for most of the building and some furniture displayed in the center areas. A lot of the individual shops were not open when I visited on a Tuesday. I also did not see as much jewelry as I was hoping to see-I still think Portobello is the place for that. The various vintage clothing dealers I visited had lovely things and the prices were like..whoah..I told the hubs that I was going to raise all of my prices in my Etsy shop when we get home. Just sayin. I met one nice dealer who specialises in Georgian and Victorian jewels-he had some nice ivory, cut steel and foiled gemstone pieces.I bought a GIANT ivory hand brooch from him-it's huge. I've never seen any Victorian hand brooch this big so I am definitely glad I stopped into alfies. You never know what you'll find.

What a gem! I went here on Saturday with a friend having a look for furnishings for her new house. It's tucked away on a side street off Lisson Grove that I must have passed hundreds of times in the past when I lived on Abbey Road, but I always thought the street was just a tat and fruit market. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong! On weekends the street does have fabric, food and random other stalls, but there are loads of beautiful antiques stores on both sides of the road, and Alfie's - a huge building with 70 dealers of various glass, collectibles, lighting and homewares packed over 4 floors. I didn't make it to the basement level ( mostly mid-century design furniture ) but the ground floor has cool clothing and vintage decorative items, the first floor has more glass and silverware, jewellery and homewares and an impressive collection of furniture and lighting. Huge glass, crystal and metal chandeliers and funky fitting hung from every inch of the ceiling. When you walk along the wooden floorboard it makes multitudes of glasses tinkle on the shelves. The second floor is more of the same, with standout shops being a hidden studio filled with antique leather travel trunks worthy of the Titanic and a stall with early 20thC flags from Ghana turned into works of art. I could quite happily spend hours ( and millions ) in there, which is why I was thrilled to find they have a large wooden roof terrace off the third floor that serves basic food and cold drinks! It is quite hot and stuffy in the antique market without air-con - but sitting on the terrace that was all forgotten. A great place to while away a few hours.

Sparkle & Cad at The Girl Can't Help It love their window spot at Alfies. Being surrounded by fantastic furniture,gorgeous jewels,lace,homewares and glamorous garments from all the other dealers-it's a sumptuous place to spend our working day!!!

I love this place. The range of antiques and collectables is impressive. Whether you are looking for a painting, some art deco furniture or some vintage clothing this place has it all. Definitely worth spending a couple of hours wandering around this place. Ok, it's not situated in the nicest street (Church street) but having so many antiques shops in one place is rare. Bargain hard though because some of the prices are plain ridiculous.

Alfies is a close to magical place with quality furniture interior and antiques. The many shops in varying size all have different character and stock making the maze like department store exciting not just for a quick dropping by but some hour exploring. There is also an absolutely lovely roof top cafe and restaurant with value for money lunches, superb cakes and a rare view of Marylebone.

The roof top cafe, whilst dirty, looks good. Shame about the food. The worst breakfast imaginable. The sausage couldnt be cut as it was rock hard, the toast was so thin it was more like a cracker, there was the equivalent of one mushroom and the egg was hard. I sent it back and the waitress picked up the sausage with her hand and banged it on the plate. This seemed to reassure her that it was disgusting so she offered me another one. My partner wanted a vegetarian breakfast but they had no veg sausages and didnt do beans. Terrible.

In twenty years of shopping for antiques I have never met such a rude group of vendors as I did at Alfies. Some gave very curt responses, and several just completley ignored me when I asked a question. I am used to going into places with overpriced items but I don't expext such a nasty disposition even after I spend 120 pounds.
