the mona lisa is one of the most DELICIOUS sandwiches i’ve ever had — it’s pricey, but really worth it. it was LOADEDDD with fresh, high quality, harmonious flavours. the burrata was so creamy, mild, and rich. the sandwich was bursting with pesto that was soooo flavourful and earthy from the basil, and there was a strong, aromatic truffle dispersed throughout every single bite, combining with the pesto for the perfect saltiness. the prosciutto was also so so so so incredible — it was savory and salty, marbled with slightly sweet fat, and velvety in texture. the arugula added a nice touch of freshness, and it was all wrapped flawlessly in this really crunchy yet soft bread with a nice doughiness.
dipping the sandwiches in the chili oil transformed it completely, amazingly. it was a good amount of spice, and reminded me a bit of asian chili oil in the way that it was salty and quite fragrant.
the chicken caesar sandwich was also really really good (but not as special as the mona lisa). it was DRIPPING with a really creamy, light dressing, mixed with generous amounts of olive oil. the romaine was crunchy and leafy and completed coated by the dressing, making every bite flavourful. they balanced these light flavours perfectly with moist, juicy, lean strips of chicken and meaty, chewy thick chunks of bacon. there was also a fresh, tart sweetness from the sliced tomatoes all throughout the sandwich.
