Booked a room for Oct 27 - 29th 2013, missed the Fall Season (could not be helped), but still a wonderful trip - leaves were still vibrant and overall my fiancee and I had a wonderful vacation. Only had two issues, one being the bed and the other just the limited places to eat this time of year. The local area book in the room - to help guest find places for food or other interesting spots in the area was fine enough, but it really should have listed the Navigator Restaurant - which for some reason gets a lot of bad reviews but during the off season I have to say it was probably the most superior of places to eat. The Motel is just 5 miles out from Munising main thoroughfare and it takes no time at all to find someplace to dine. The Motel is close to the highway, but the windows, curtains, and door supply enough sound proofing to get decent sleep or a good conversation without feeling like you are standing by a busy highway. The bed on the otherhand, initially it seems suitable but after an hour it feels like you are sleeping on a hard concrete slab - a bit of tossing and turning was had the first night, but we used the extra blankets to cushion the mattress. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The WiFi was great for us to upload our photos of our trip to friends and family, and in my case to Voice call through Facetime with my sister (Sprint is terrible service to have in the UP when you visit). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our Fridge in the room was unplugged, and we had no reason to plug it in, though its a nice feature considering if you bring back leftovers from the places in Munising. Would happily book here again.
