Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel

The hotel, the staff, the food absolutely amazing. Our room was beautiful clean with several over the top touches. The property was elegant with great history and design. I can’t say enough about the staff as well from the front desk to the housekeeping department in fact, everyone that we interacted with always met us with a smile and kind word. And finally, the food….the restaurant was perfectly appointed, and the food delicious Seabass was delicate and the pasta adenté with just the right amount of seasoning. ||My wife and our friends will definitely be coming back to stay here.

Her stay at this boutique hotel was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to help us with coordinating plans and transportation Diana at the front desk went above and beyond and should be recognized for service. The rooms were comfortable and clean and had a beautiful view. breakfast was delicious fresh and the staff was pleasant attentive. The hotel is close to all the local attractions, but far enough away from the noise I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had a fabulous holiday in Ortigia. Our stay at Algila`Ortigia Charme Hotel was so good. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff, great service. The breakfast was the best, something for all tastes. The Hotel is beautiful and full of charm. A great Base to explore Ortigia and Syracuse. Would definitely come back.

Far better than we expected. Grand room, excellent breakfast, valet parking (essential - forgot trying to find something yourself on the street) and great service. There are some swimming spots (off the rocks or platforms) close by which we enjoyed. Very good location, quiet but close walking distance to all the attractions and vast choice of restaurants in very interesting city.

Ortigia is the island off wonderful Syracuse. This hotel is superb. Lovely well appointed suite/ room right on the waterfront and at the heart of the medieval street patterned town. The service is immaculate. The facilities and environment superb. Love this place. If you are in Sicily come and stay here. Beautiful.

Absolutely stunning hotel in an excellent area of the city. Extremely clean and well kept. Perfect for our family with children. Beds were so comfortable, and our family suite so spacious. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was so fun and full of Sicilian specialties. Would recommend to all!

Had a fantastic 5-night stay at Algila. Beautiful property, beautiful city. First time in Ortigia and will absolutely be back in the future. The hotel itself is right on the water with great views, on the quieter east side of the island - although still no more than a 10 minute walk to anywhere in the city. Denise at the front desk was especially helpful in planning and recommending day trips, beach days, etc. and we really appreciated her help.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous ocean views, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, nice bar. Quiet but close walking distance to all. Room 401 has the best balcony with unbeatable ocean views. Authentic with modern amenities. Highly recommend

Photos do not do this very special hotel justice. We were lucky enough to book the family room and couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in. Two exceptionally spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms, high ceilings, stocked refrigerators connected through a perfect hallway that allowed both for privacy and the comfort of togetherness for our younger kids. It was fabulous. The location is lovely in perfect Ortigia, which in and of itself is such a gem. The staff offered many great restaurant recommendations and could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast was excellent - you would be hard pressed to find a person who wasn't delighted by the myriad of offerings. The hotel also has a spacious seating area to relax with wine, water, some juice and little bowls of snacks during the day, which made for a nice area to relax with our kids in the hot afternoons. A couple of teeny tiny quibbles: the tvs were so small they were unusable (wouldn't care normally but we were there during the world cup and the ball was a mere pinprick) and had very few stations, the shower floor was so incredibly slippery that my son took a nasty spill (I almost did as well, so it wasn't kid horsing around) and the parking is more expensive than it should be. The air in one of the rooms ran very cold and refused to adjust, but in a 105 degree heatwave, that was certainly preferable to the alternative. One final quibble - they use some sort of a pod machine for the coffee, which in addition to being environmentally questionable when used on a large scale, it also makes pretty low grade coffee. We'd come to enjoy our morning freshly ground lattes elsewhere, so again, though a minor quibble, I think they should switch to a standard machine to step it up just a notch. We would enthusiastically recommend this hotel to all. It's a real find.

This is a small boutique hotel with a water view and an extremely diligent and helpful staff. The room was immaculate and well designed. The hotel has their own bar and restaurant. The breakfast is beautiful and has a bountiful buffet with a menu as well that has items cooked to order. They leave wine, water and snacks for free every day near the bar for guests. The location is central in Ortigia, so you can walk and explore as you will. We very much felt the pride of care for their guests while staying there. There is a busy little parking area right in front which gives you some people watching opportunities. Our room had a tiny balcony to view the water and people show. Well priced for the amenities and breakfast. if you need laundry done a little place called Wash and Dry Siracusa will wash, dry and fold for 8 euro! Hop on and Hop off for only 5 euro is a great way to get around see the sights in Siracusa. The outdoor morning market is fantastic. Do not trust your GPS to get you there though. Go over the bridge and make the second left and then a right onto Via Victorio Vanetto..
