Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel

Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel is the most delightful boutique hotel. I left yesterday, excited to plan my return soon! The hospitality from Magdra, Denise and staff was deeply caring. The beautiful morning breakfast buffet and warm welcome every time I left & returned to the hotel was impeccable. Delicious restaurants abound within a few blocks & the soothing sound of ocean waves from my balcony was the respite I needed for healing. I am deeply grateful for the rich history of Ortigia and this Charming Hotel. 🌺Lia

For starters, if I would return to Syracuse I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. It is ideally located in a quiet area. Rooms are spread over 2 very elegant palazzi. I was really charmed by the way rooms and central parts were decorated: very classy and of delicate taste. Curtains matched the tiles in the bathroom in our room! The rooms were big and in a very good condition and the bathroom had a very good shower with toiletries of Culti. And then the breakfast: the very best we had in all Sicily with no extras charged for freshy squeezed orange juice and eggs prepared as you wish. Fresh fruits, all kinds of pies, you can even prepare your fresh cannoli on the spot. Reception staff were very friendly and the same holds for the staff at breakfast. Only minor point I can think of is that there is no outside public terrass to relax but really, this is largely compensated by all the rest. Thank you team Algila for making our stay so pleasant!

We had an amazing holiday staying at this beautiful hotel. Everything about it is perfection. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was delightful and spotlessly clean with the addition of the free mini bar which was restocked everyday. The location is ideal with shops and bars within walking distance. We definitely recommend Algilà Ortigia Charme hotel to everyone.

Absolutely stunning hotel in an excellent area of the city. Extremely clean and well kept. Perfect for our family with children. Beds were so comfortable, and our family suite so spacious. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was so fun and full of Sicilian specialties. Would recommend to all!

Wonderful authentic Sicilian hotel. Beautifully restored. Beds comfortable and the rooms are cleaned to perfection. Location is excellent as we could walk to syracuse and around Ortigia with ease. Close to the beach and the hotel supplies us with beach towels daily. All staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend for a city break to explore the local area. A big thank you to all the team who clean and serve the guests daily. It cannot be an easy job, but they did it with warmth and professionalism. Thank you.

This hotel was the absolutely perfect place to stay while in Ortigia! It's located right on the sea and has seaside rooms with beautiful sea views. You can also access the water and swim right there in a protected cove. The staff is exceptional and go out of their way to be helpful. You can rely on their concierge department for reservations and suggestions.

We had a wonderful time there! The room had a great view to the ocean, was very comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast was also very good! We loved our stay, everyone treated us very well!

Wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Excellent location, very cosy and the seaview rooms amazing. A grand breakfast and friendly staff with special thanks to the lovely lady Sabrina at the front desk cheerful and helpful.

Photos do not do this very special hotel justice. We were lucky enough to book the family room and couldn't believe our eyes when we walked in. Two exceptionally spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms, high ceilings, stocked refrigerators connected through a perfect hallway that allowed both for privacy and the comfort of togetherness for our younger kids. It was fabulous. The location is lovely in perfect Ortigia, which in and of itself is such a gem. The staff offered many great restaurant recommendations and could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast was excellent - you would be hard pressed to find a person who wasn't delighted by the myriad of offerings. The hotel also has a spacious seating area to relax with wine, water, some juice and little bowls of snacks during the day, which made for a nice area to relax with our kids in the hot afternoons. A couple of teeny tiny quibbles: the tvs were so small they were unusable (wouldn't care normally but we were there during the world cup and the ball was a mere pinprick) and had very few stations, the shower floor was so incredibly slippery that my son took a nasty spill (I almost did as well, so it wasn't kid horsing around) and the parking is more expensive than it should be. The air in one of the rooms ran very cold and refused to adjust, but in a 105 degree heatwave, that was certainly preferable to the alternative. One final quibble - they use some sort of a pod machine for the coffee, which in addition to being environmentally questionable when used on a large scale, it also makes pretty low grade coffee. We'd come to enjoy our morning freshly ground lattes elsewhere, so again, though a minor quibble, I think they should switch to a standard machine to step it up just a notch. We would enthusiastically recommend this hotel to all. It's a real find.

This is a small boutique hotel with a water view and an extremely diligent and helpful staff. The room was immaculate and well designed. The hotel has their own bar and restaurant. The breakfast is beautiful and has a bountiful buffet with a menu as well that has items cooked to order. They leave wine, water and snacks for free every day near the bar for guests. The location is central in Ortigia, so you can walk and explore as you will. We very much felt the pride of care for their guests while staying there. There is a busy little parking area right in front which gives you some people watching opportunities. Our room had a tiny balcony to view the water and people show. Well priced for the amenities and breakfast. if you need laundry done a little place called Wash and Dry Siracusa will wash, dry and fold for 8 euro! Hop on and Hop off for only 5 euro is a great way to get around see the sights in Siracusa. The outdoor morning market is fantastic. Do not trust your GPS to get you there though. Go over the bridge and make the second left and then a right onto Via Victorio Vanetto..
