Popped in here yesterday (Sunday) while looking for American sofas at different stores and was welcomed inside despite not having an appointment. This store had both American sofas/beds/furniture as well as a huge selection of Asian furniture/decor on the first and second floor. We fell in love with the Asian living room sofas because their woodworking reminded us of Caribbean formal sitting rooms/living rooms. They also had tea tables like the one pictured that we hadn’t seen before. Of course, those were expensive but it’s good to know where to find things like that here (we’re looking for particular Japanese pieces) and the salesperson was friendly so we’ll return to check them out for inspiration and individual pieces as needed.

I'm an interior designer that drove past this shop two days ago and went in to browse. It's great! Arguably the best furniture store in Los Angeles--the furniture is high-end, the price is reasonable, and the manager is kind and professional. If you need furniture in the future, I definitely recommend this shop.

Alambra Furniture Gallery is a large store devoted to traditional Chinese furniture. From chairs, to wall mirrors, and tables of all sizes, to sofas, beds and cabinets..they offer a very large variety of furnishings. Prices are not inexpensive by any measure. The store has two levels and is filled from the ceilings, with period lighting, to the floor with a huge amount of inventory. The area the store is located in is not the best, a bit run down..but the store itself is nice. Customer service is muted. I suspect you would have to purposely ask for assistance to be greeted and helped.

I have lived in the era for more about half my life and every time I pass by this store the window display is exactly the same and has never been changed. I have never seen anyone enter or exit the store. I recently tried to enter the store and even though there were open signs all the doors were locked. The lady who worked there opened the door and explained to me it was by appointment only and they only sold very expensive high end furniture and I was not even allowed to look around. I went to the website looking for an appointment and the website doesn't exist??? There is no legal way this place is still in business.

This furniture store will not allow walk-ins. No customers in the store but they say you can only enter by appointment only. I let them know that we were looking for a queen bed. They say they don't have any queen beds in stock. They can order it but it would take months to make because they only have high price items. Also said a queen bed would cost thousands??? I find this store really odd. I don't know how this place stays in business.
