Alhambra Oaks Motor Lodge

We have been here a few times but this is my first review. Superb in every regard. Warm and welcoming host. Great room layout. Immaculately clean. Best shower ever! Brilliant location, walking distance to main shopping area, hospital and University campus. We will continue coming back. Top marks to the hostess, Carolyn and her team!

I've stayed at several of the North Dunedin motels in recent years. This ranks among the best in terms of value for money, cleanliness, comfort, and convenience. I was especially grateful for the very helpful and prompt communication via text.

Highly recommend staying here. The room was very clean and tidy. The towels were replenished daily and room tidied. The staff were lovely and helpful. Walking distance to lots of food restaurants and takeaways and shops. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Dunedin again.

It's where I always stay when in Dunedin. Good walk into town, I don't like driving and parking in town so I prefer to walk.. Taco bell just down the road. Night and day just round the road..

Stay here regularly for work trips. Rooms are always clean and tidy and warm enough if you're want. Bathroom clean and showers are great. Owners are super friendly. Plenty of restaurants and takeaways within talking distance. Always recommend to friends, colleagues and customers to stay there

Clean family room away from the busy road. Towels changed every day, dishes done, beds remade - better service than what I'm used to! Nice pressure shower. Spa bath is a regular little bath with two jets so don't get excited about that one. Wall heater in the room heated the space nicely as it was very cold at night - Dunedin in November felt like winter to me! Right across the field is the Otago Uni campus and a lovely coffee shop - Good Earth. Great location for conferences at the uni and access to the Botanic Garden walks .A solid 15 min walk to the shops in the centre.
