Grab pre or post Meow Wolf and be sure to come back for bags of flour tortillas to hand carry back with you - they freeze incredibly well and are worth the awkward balancing act of tortillas stacked on more tortillas inside of a flimsy bag on the plane home.

Delicious food. We had tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno and quesadillas. All were delicious. The salsa was very good and the tamales were moist and flavorful.

Google
Was really excited for the presentation and the fact that they had a “vegan” menu which is rare in santa fe. The menu says it comes with black beans but the only protein included was cheese… which is famously not vegan. Was a good try but probably won’t spend $14 on tortillas, cheese, and rice again.

The place looks modest, they serve you all the good in take out boxes and they pack it well. Everything we ordered was good to taste, tacos, tostada, chile rellenos, quesadillas, nachos. Their salsa was as great, if a taqueria makes good salsa then they know how to cook.

A Santa Fe native friend of mine told me to stop here on my way to the airport as I was heading out of town and I’m so glad that I did. Very very quick service to get some incredible tortillas and ad delicious snack for lunch. The women running this place are running it like it’s the goddamn navy. It is spotless super fast, friendly, and the products are delicious. I will definitely be back here whenever I’m in Santa Fe.

Ever since I moved up here, I’ve been on the hunt for good tortillas. Back in Las Cruces, my go-to was Fiesta Foods — if you know, you know. While this spot isn’t quite my beloved Fiesta, it’s definitely got something special. The tortillas are genuinely good, and it’s earned a spot in my regular rotation. Worth checking out if you’re craving quality.

We stopped here on our way to Taos. It is a little bit of a dive but everything we ordered was fantastic and everyone was very friendly. Some highlights were the tamales, the rice, and the chicken enchiladas. Worth the detour and reasonably priced.

Finally found a place in SF that has good prices great service and amazing food! Look at this spring salad! Beautiful and fresh. I also had tacos and tamales so far and all delicious! You'll be seeing me a lot 😋😍🤑

I grew up in Los Angeles and I constantly miss the Mexican food. New Mexican food is different, Mexican food tiene SABOR! I’m sorry ! Haha Alicia’s feels like a slice of home with their incredible food and extremely sweet employees. I love eating here, it makes me feel less homesick and the food is always delicious. I could eat a stack of their corn tortillas all by myself any day! ❤️ I usually get the Chile relleno burrito but the rice and beans are so good too. Everything is good!

Yelp
Tortillas are great. The meat generally is too. They don't include rice and beans with their burritos so make you add them or you'll end up with a tiny burrito.

Yelp
WOW! Just wow! I picked up Catering from here today and not only was it incredibly and reasonably priced but the food was outstanding and the office loved it. I wish I could use them to cater everywhere I work. I just finished my own plate and feel like I just ate at grandmas. The food was so well prepared, on time, and incredibly delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Yelp
Alicia's tortilleria has been in business ever since I can remember as a child. It was my mothers to go place for fresh home Mande tortillas. It's my homemade to go restraint when I'm feeling nostalgic and want to savor my childhood memories. Tortillas are made fresh in both flour and corn. Their taste is quite exquisite and unique. They have burritos, caldos, enchiladas, and more. This venue is in a small building but their building have an ordering side and a dining area on the other side that is separated by doors which at first can be deceiving and make you feel like they don't have a dining area. Service is average.

Yelp
Have had take out delivered multiple times from Alicia's, and every time the quality, flavor and portion sizes have been great. Best menudo in SF!! Enchiladas were delicious too!!

Yelp
Stopped in on our way out of town as it was close to Meow Wolf. My son had the breakfast burrito with chorizo & said it was great. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were average. The meat didn't taste very seasoned & there weren't any onions on it. Took a bit to have the order ready but that was fine, I appreciate it being cooked fresh.

Yelp
We were hungry after visiting Meow Wolf. I checked yelp and this restaurant popped up on the screen. A few blocks from the museum. OMG, this place is a hold in the wall. Truly authentic Mexican food. Don't get deceived by the way the building looks. You order one side and pick up the other side. Fair price and lots of food for the price. So glad that we found this hidden gem. If you are around this area, this is a must go-to place.

Yelp
All served to-go but with a seating area in the adjacent space, this little restaurant is a gem of a lunch spot whether you are visiting Meow Wolf or just out wandering Santa Fe. The tortillas are fresh, warm and a little reminiscent of abuelita

Yelp
I like their breakfast. I have no problem with their customer service, waiting isn't that long, food is awesome, etc. Soon, I'll try their lunch.

Yelp
Great original food. One of two of my Santa Fe favs. Barbacoa Burrito tacos tortillabbbb

Duncan J.

Yelp
Great. Good prices on tamales, great prices on tortilla's. Haven't had a bad experience after ~10 years.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent tortillas and tamales. Was in town visiting and someone suggested it, would be a regular if I lived here.

Yelp
Legit Mexican food in Santa Fe. After a few days of eating only New Mexican food I was craving Old Mexican. Found this place and could tell it was authentic stuff. Big fluffy homemade flour tortillas were perfect. Burritos were very big for the price. Tried the chile colorado, asada and bistec. All were tender and flavorful. If I lived in town I'd be a regular.

Yelp
They have very good tortilla's. They could use some improvement on customer service. First of all, the parking lot is really sketchy. Parking can be difficult. It's a good thing to consider going when it's an off time. It's difficult to get served at certain times because it's very small inside and can get crowded. The last time I went there it was relatively busy. I ordered 2 dozen large tortilla's and a pound of corn chips. They gave me small tortilla's and the chips had at least a cup or 10% crumbs on the bottom of the bag. My order was all bagged up so I didn't see what they gave me until I unpacked it at home. Be sure your order is correct and satisfactory while you're there. If it's crowded that can be awkward and communication can be an issue since Spanish is their first language.

Yelp
Super duper good and affordable. Tortillas, burritos, tamales, all great. Great service.

Yelp
Glorious. So grateful I ran into this place. 5 stars: corn and flour tortillas, taco con barbacoa, chile relleno burrito 4 stars: tostada (thought the beans were only okay but rest was delicious), desebrada 2 stars: picadillo (too bland)

Yelp
Wonderful tamales and tortillas and tortas. I love supporting this local business. a friend told me about 8 years ago and it's one of the best Vines and Santa Fe. The service is always friendly and fast. They combine being a hole in the wall with exceptional service. On busy days it's a fun place to be but you have to be patient. they have a pretty large menu and I'd like to start trying some of the other food. The tamales are just so good.

Yelp
In a town with amazing breakfast burritos...we adore Alicia's. Everything is so good especially the tortillas!

Chi M.

Yelp
Chewy nice corn tortillas! Flour tortillas equally good. Service quick with a greeting.

Yelp
Alicia's is a little mom-and-pop shop tucked away on Rufina Circle between Cerrillos Rd/Rufina St. This place is always swarming with locals waiting for their orders (always a good sign!) and it has quickly become one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Their menu is written in Spanish so if you're like me and your Spanish is exceptionally bad, make sure you figure out what you want before you get to the front of the line. That being said, there's no need to be intimidated just because you don't speak Spanish. The sweet lady who takes orders always makes me feel so welcome and at ease, even though my Spanish is limited to "hola", "como estas", and "muchas gracias". Everything I've tried on their menu has been great but if I had to pick, I would recommend the green chile enchiladas (creamy, cheesy, savory) and the tamales if you're visiting for the first time!

Cristy J.

Yelp
Food was made fresh - I ordered chicken flautas and they were the best I've ever had. Burned my tongue they were so hot - I love when my food is hot like that. I wanted to order another dish because this was so good I just wanted more.
google avatar

Henry M.

Yelp
Still the best Chile Relleno burrito I've ever laid my eyes on. And stuffed down my gullet. Shhhhhhhh don't tell anyone.

David N.

Yelp
Really good asada burritos. It was a bit smaller than other places, but it was made with good quality beef.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
What delicious food! Don't be intimated by the exterior or the fact that they mainly speak Spanish. What a great find. Corn tortillas, tamales and mole chicken burrito are all delectable!

Dyce C.

Yelp
The absolute BEST tortillas you will ever have the pleasure of eating! Ordered lunch here and wow was everything DELICIOUS!!! HUGE portions and so reasonable.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Absolutely impressive. Paid $4.50 for a chicken mole burrito. Tortilla was toasted and flaky. Chicken mole was pretty darn good. Slightly sweet, like it's supposed to be. Got it with rice instead of beans so it wouldn't be too heavy. Eating area wasn't air conditioned, but i'd rather have good food at a reasonable price, than the other way around. Could always do take out, which is what they're more geared up for. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place.
google avatar

Tiwi M.

Yelp
Great tamales! Red chile too! Had the plate with rice and beans. They were good sides. The lady speaks mostly Spanish. But you'll get what you order. The seating is lacking, kind of unkempt. There are a lot of locals going there,so that tells you,it's the right spot.

Yelp
I have asked and asked about good tortillerias in Santa Fe. We have been here 7 years, and I am a native New Mexican. Las Cruces, where I was raised, had several. I have been told that "good cooks make their own at home." Okay, but not me. I went by Alicia's one morning about 10:30 am and the parking lot was packed with high end SUVs and service trucks. That is my kind of place. I went in and order, to try their staple, corn tortillas and check out their menus for eat in and take out and catering. The tortillas were like silk. OUTSTANDING. We intend to try more of the menu and, if good, the big catering items.

Yelp
Just spectacular. Unassuming from the outside, unsurpassed on the inside. For the record, we've actually considered overnighting Alicia's tortillas from Santa Fe to our Austin home; they're that good (and we're no rookies on great tortillas). Seriously excellent choice, especially if you're in the neighborhood for Meow Wolf.

Yelp
I work close by so I decided to drop in for lunch based on the reviews--I was not disappointed!! Everything on the menu looked awesome. And the guy in front of me, who is apparently a regular, also told me, "Everything on the menu is awesome." So of course I was paralyzed by indecision and blurted out the first couple of items that popped into my head. I ended up with a red chile pork tamale and Barbacoa burrito, all for under $7--a total steal! I had to tip the extremely warm and sweet lady at the register in order not to feel like a thief. The tamale masa was smooth, fluffy, and perfectly formed around the rich, savory red chile pork. Every bite was heavenly. The barbacoa burrito was legit--tender, flavorful, and juicy beefy goodness dressed with lettuce and tomato and wrapped in a delicious, lightly toasted tortilla. And the red and green salsas--qué sabrosas!! It's going to be nearly impossible to keep myself from eating here ALL THE TIME. I might need to get a gym membership.

Yelp
I came for lunch after spending the morning nearby at Meow Wolf and ordered the burrito with a horchata drink. Friendly service and delicious food in a humble setting. Will definitely visit this local gem again when I have a chance.
google avatar

Yelp
I debated about 4 or 5 stars because there is room for improvement but after 2 visits I really love this humble little dive so... I didn't know about Alicia's until a couple weeks ago when The Santa Fe New Mexican published a nice review. http://www.santafenewmexican.com/pasatiempo/restaurants/reviews/lettuce-eat-tacos-alicia-s-tortilleria/article_3ae3bb06-4f3c-11e8-a1a5-5bac44aa49ec.html With whatever prepared food you order, you should take at least a dozen tortillas to go. They're unbelievably soft, thick, fluffy and delicious. Today I had the tacos dorados con camarones: shrimp tacos (four to an order) in a crispy tortilla served with a side of guacamole and white rice with corn. So good! I wish I had another order by my side as I write this.
google avatar

Rich T.

Yelp
My wife grew up in Santa Fe. We live here in Tucson now, but she always longs for the thick New Mexico tortillas. Alicia's are the best. Fresh, tender and delicious. You will not find any other tortilla that comes even close -- especially not here in Tucson. I love local flour tortillas. But if you want to sop up the juice from a great bowl of green chile stew, New Mexican tortillas are the way to go.

Safariroad G.

Yelp
Just wow! This place is a to-go kinda place. The tamales are the biggest I've ever had, and I live in Texas! everything was delicious. Definitely going back next trip! It looks a bit sketchy, and it's a hole in the wall, but don't let that deter you! It's amazing!
google avatar

Thomas W.

Yelp
This little hole-in-the-wall serves up killer food. I ordered a chile relleno burrito and pack of tortillas de harina. The burrito was outstanding, albeit only modest size so a hungry person would want to order something to go with it. The tortillas are thick and pillowy. When you enter the door, you have a choice of going left or right - left side is whee you order, and right side is a dining room (May confuse some folks though, because there is a counter in the dining room as well).
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Hole in the wall with delicious Mexican food and friendly counter staff. Convenient to Meow Wolf (around the corner).
google avatar

Leahi M.

Yelp
We love their tortillas, I was able to make an order of 300 small tortillas and they were ready the same day. Always fresh and great food as well if you want something other than just tortillas off their menu.
google avatar

Judith G.

Yelp
I'll give it a 3-star rating because the service was friendly and the tortillas were fresh, other than that, it has a lot to improve. I ordered the 5 tacos plate: bistec, chicken and picadillo. The fillings were OK but the tortilla was soggy by the time it got to our table. You gotta know how to serve your tacos so the tortillas don't get soggy. The place is small and it wasn't clean; there were crumbs and rice grains on the table and floor.
google avatar

Gloria R.

Yelp
I have stopped twice to get barbacoa. It is the best plus they give you corn tortillas, salad, onions, tomatoes, lime and cilantro. I love their thick corn tortillas. They done go soggy while you eat your tacos. A little proud of their flour tortillas at $3.00 per dozen but they are good and last in the refrío and reheat nicely.
google avatar

Stone S.

Yelp
Extremely friendly and welcome cooked to order and is it delicious. If your on vacation you MUST go here. Great tasting authentic food!
google avatar

Marissa S.

Yelp
This place has great red chili tamales! I will now only get my tamales here! The meat/masa ratio is perfect. The masa is light and tasty, not thick and pasty. I can't wait to try some of their other menu items. This is a place I'll probably only do take out with. The atmosphere is a little rough around the edges. But the food quality is on point.

Megan L.

Yelp
The very definition of a hole-in-the-wall. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. Don't be alarmed by the appearance of the place--it's just worn, and plenty clean. There isn't much seating and is definitely primarily a takeout place. For those that don't speak Spanish, the door on the left is where you order, and then you pick up your food from the area through the door on the right. Pointing to the menu and plenty of "gracias" and "por favor" will get you by fine. The molé is sweeter than spicy and was great with Cholula.
google avatar

suzy j.

Yelp
Really excellent shredded beef tacos. They make their own tortillas and salsa too.
google avatar

Sam A.

Yelp
12 red chile pork tamales and a bean burrito for under $16 dollars! Holy Moley! And the tamales are quite good too! The service is quick and they make all of their tortillas from scratch. AND from what I hear, if you order the refried beans, you get four steaming fresh hot tortillas to eat it with... I think this is quite a find, and I'll be back!
google avatar

Camryn L.

Yelp
Some of the worst Mexican food I ever had. Will never be back and they use stryofoam for everything. How they ever got all these good ratings, i will never know. The only good thing was the tortillas which seemed homemade. A dive.

Mark H.

Yelp
Best tamales in Santa Fe. Good burritos, too. And very nice people work there. Highly recommended.

Marianne M.

Yelp
All the corn tortillas have GMO. I wish Santa Fe would offer an alternative to GMO...
google avatar

Jessica E.

Yelp
Awesome food. We got a bunch of different things to try and loved all of them (well, not the menudo, but it was a consistency issue not anything they did). The green chili is delicious and spicy.

Kelly M.

Yelp
I went to Meow Wolf and there was no parking in the lot so I ended up parking on the road outside Alicia's. On the way back, I stopped in. Glad I did! I got chicken flautas to go. It came with 4-5 really good size flautas and they were very crispy. I liked the creamy guacamole included. It also came with rice and re-fried beans which both had good flavor. Next time I'm in Santa Fe I'll come back to try other items. I think you order on the left side and if you're eating there you go over to the right side (kind of confusing setup). There was no line when I ordered, but about 10-15 people came in after me so it can get crowded.
google avatar

Fantastique J.

Yelp
The most delicious tortillas in town: fluffy, thick, corn tortillas for a little over a dollar per pound. Excellent mole (dark and on the sweet side) with chicken. Very friendly service, a great local business. Don't ever buy grocery store tortillas again!
