Alicion Bed & Breakfast

A warm welcome from Joe was the start to a wonderful 2-night stay in this beautiful home in a peaceful residential area. A short walk takes you to a variety of bars and restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and have super-comfortable beds. A delicious breakfast with fellow travellers in the morning with an opportunity to share and pick up some hints and tips for travelling in Nova Scotia and beyond. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the upstairs room with two twin beds for three nights in August 2024. The owners are wonderful hosts. The room and private bath were clean, quiet, and nicely appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast that they prepared each morning was beautifully presented and delicious. I enjoyed talking with the owners and they gave great suggestions for places to see in the area. I found the location to be perfect; it was just a few blocks from the main part of town, but on a quiet street. It was easy to walk around the attractive historic neighborhood that surrounded the bed and breakfast, and it was just a 3 block walk to the oldest part of the fabulous historic town. I took an excellent walking tour led by a local history teacher and learned all about the fascinating history and all of the beautifully preserved buildings and churches in Lunenburg. I had a wonderful stay at Alicion Bed and Breakfast!

Stayed one night in the Kingfisher suite. The host Joe was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean, stylish and spacey. Breakfast was delicious and served in the dining room with 4 other guests. We were able to share stories of our current trips while having breakfast. Only 15m walk to downtown old lunenberg town. Will stay again and would recommend this place to everyone.

Lovely B&B in beautiful Lunenburg. |Spotlessly clean and well appointed room with big bathroom. We were only here for one night so unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy our spa bath!|Breakfast was delicious - as with many B&bs there is only one choice so might not be for everyone. The breakfast is served at one large table with the other guests, great for me as I am a talker but may feel uncomfortable for some.|The garden is lovely with a little putting green, wish we had had more time to enjoy.|All round a pleasant stay!

We arrived to a sincere, warm welcome from Joe to his and Christopher's beautiful home. The house and it's period features are stunning, and there are some lovely touches, from the water filter in the room, the attractive furnishings and the fascinating paintings. We stayed for 3 nights in June while attending a wedding in Lunenburg. Joe is such a warm and interesting host and he and Chris take such pride in their bed and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and large and have all the extras you might expect. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast with so much food we did not need lunch. The B&B is a short walk from the harbour and the busy town….a PERFCT location for a Lunenburg stop! Hiking/walking trails are close by.

Even checking in was like coming home. Joe - our host - was very friendly and attentive. Our room was simply great and the bathroom was large with a bathtub. The location is also lovely and when the weather is good you can sit outside. The city can be reached on foot via the harbor hiking trail. The breakfast was a delight prepared by Christopher. The whole house is a gem and if we come back to Luneburg we will happily stay here again.|Greets from Peter and Stefan - Germany

We absolutely love the Alicion B&B, couldn’t have asked for a better place, location and owners! Beautifully decorated and the rooms are really clean and spacious! The breakfasts are out of this world, Christopher will never disappoint with his cooking skills. Joe is absolutely accommodating and a super host. Thanks for an amazing experience!!
