Alif Paradise Hotel

Clean, well equipped room with great view from the balcony, one of the nicest we stayed at in Ethiopia. Tasty breakfast and Getachew, the main staff member on duty was really friendly and interesting to chat to. Hot water and a cleaning lady with laundry available. WiFi was temporamental as in most of Ethiopia. Located near some bars and shops and only about 20 mins walk to the churches. Would recommend.

The Alef Paradise Hotel is a great deal for the prices paid. Rooms are relatively spartan, but for the prices paid, it's tough to beat. The hotel itself is very quiet, there are attached private balconies on most rooms, hot water, free Wifi and an attached restaurant. Towels/linens are provided.||||The hotel is very close to the southern cluster of rock-hewn churches; for the main cluster and attached ticket office, it's an easy 10-15 minute walk. Also nearby the hotel are several shop for tourist items/supplies (simple food items and water), and a few restaurants for those looking to venture from the hotel. Its always a good idea to bring extra cash, but for those that are strapped, there are multiple ATMs in a short walking distance. Be aware - ATMs are frequently off line/out of order. ||||Staff were very friendly and able to point out items of interest.

We stayed at Lalibela for 4 nights. |The price is great for what you get- clean big room with big balcoby and beautiful view. Staff were super nice and helpful. The churches are walking distance and the center as well. Nice food (breakfest , lunch)

The rooms have a nice view, well kept and above all the staff is very very friendly. For Hebrew speakers, Almaz the owner, speaks Hebrew as well. The Hotel is walking distance from the market and the churches. This hotel gives you full value for what you paid, good Wi-Fi (WhatsApp works) the hotel is low priced.

This was an amazing hotel with a great staff and awesome manager during that time, Mihret 😁.||Enjoyed my lalibela trip so much and hoping to come back on ethiopian christmas. Highly recommend this hotel for backpackers since it’s a budget friendly and worth your stay. Ciao!||Ps: It’s also near the churches and middle of the town.

Cheap and cheerful, small rooms, good position for all the rock churches. The breakfast is very basic. Unfortunately my partner snagged her expensive top on a shard of metal from the broken patio door. The cost of her top was much more than the price of the room.

Clean, basic rooms! Food is OK. WiFi is working. The room rate = 350 Birr included breakfast. Maybe you can get a discount if bargaining hard! Room 204 has the best view from the balcony. Service was ok ( i asked for local and private transport to Addis). Mostly the staff was helpful. One guy was a lazy pig. The girls are doing a good job.

I was staying here for two days only. I liked the proximity of it to amendies and also walking distance to the churches. My room was clean with real hot shower and beautiful view of the sunset.
