Alila Diwa Goa

"So infused with traditional Goan design is the graceful, tile-roofed architecture, so massive and gnarled are the mango trees growing in its courtyards and gardens, that it’s not initially obvious that the Alila is in fact, relatively new (it opened in 2010). The public rooms and corridors, open-sided and high-ceilinged, draw in the lush surroundings, which are cooled by reflecting pools and fountains. Dramatic lighting makes the outdoor setting, which includes an infinity pool with partially submerged recliners overlooking rice paddies and bamboo stands, even more magical at night. The 118 rooms and suites are furnished simply yet elegantly, enlivened by earth and jewel-colored headboards; the bathroom, enclosed by a lattice screen, has a tub, a walk-in shower, and a walk-in closet. The open-kitchen Vivo serves multiethnic cuisine at all meals; Spice Studio, a purely Indian menu in the evening. There are some quibbles—the rooms are not well soundproofed, and tour groups can diminish the otherwise exclusive feel of the resort. But the Alila’s gorgeous looks and peaceful southern Goa surroundings together with its delightful staff outweigh the drawbacks."

We were a family of 6 along with a toddler who stayed at Alila. Absolutely exceptional experience. Everything from checkin to checkout was just amazing. The staff took extra care of my 3 year old daughter 😊||||Velecia was exception at the checkin and though out the stay she kept asking for any help if we needed. She was extremely kind and friendly. ||||Dinesh and Yash from Edge ensured exemplary food service. Food we had at Spice studio was mind blowing. Mahesh Sachin Ambika were so so good. At Vivo, Kumar Velroy Soumin Soundarya went out of the way and attended to our family for specific food requirements.||||All in all, we had an amazing time. ||||My father ( a retired colonel of the Indian army) also left a note with me for you guys - “I feel so proud and elated to offer our feed back on our family stay at Alila Diwa from 14 to 17 June 2024. It was an amazing experience with fun filled activities and delectable cuisines making every moment so memorable for us by the caring and super responsive staff. It was short, yet a very very sweet home stay. Best wishes.“||

a Fabulous place. If you want a relaxing comfortable stay which recharges you, this is the place. It has everything. Literally everything. The Deal offered was too irresistible. Airport pickup and drop. Free chai paani which offered not the typical dry sandwiches and cookies but a whole range of chat items everyday. To top it off, the captain at the bistro, served us some super sundowner cocktails. Raju was a very nice server who catered to all our needs. The rooms are huge and cosy, kept neat and tidy every day by the likes of Brian and Ragu. Its a place where u keep ur stress aside and just destress to come out feeling refreshed. And if u r up for a chat, Aradhana, rulla and sintu are always there. Not just that, but they simply go out of the way to make you feel like a king and a queen. Notable mention goes to staff like Chelsea at guest relations and others like Preston, Declan & Ram. A Great stay, and a property which i would surely visit many a times for sure.

The rooms and bathroom are incredibly spacious and aesthetic, with latest lighting technology (I personally loved it). The service was good and prompt. The Diwa Club hotel gave a lot of complementary meals like welcome beer; unlimited cocktails, mocktails and snacks at their Sundowner (6-7pm). Their in-room bar offered a variety of drinks and snacks which was priced extremely reasonably. The only disappointment was their uncomfortable mattress. Overall I had a great experience.

What a splendid hotel managed by such delightful individuals! During our family getaway, the hotel went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable experience. From Chelsea, Roila, Aradhana, and Ashim at the front desk and guest relations, to Brian and Raghu in housekeeping, Brendon at the Bistro, and Arya at the Spa – the team was remarkable. The amenities at the hotel were top-notch, ranging from a movie theatre, playrooms, an infinity pool, a well-staffed spa, delectable food, and exceptional service that truly stood out. I'm unable to think of any feedback as everything was simply perfect.

I visited the property in June 2024 which is monsoon time. The property was very well maintained despite the occasional rain showers. |The check in was a breeze. Aradhana, Chelsea, Ruella and Rayon at the front desk were very helpful. My 5 year old son really took to them. Very friendly. |Tenzing, Lenin, Martha, Keyi and Kumar at the Vivo restaurant were very helpful with our son’s food demands. Very patient and attentive. |An exceptional stay. Definitely will visit again.

The Club experience was exactly what was expected - blissful luxury. The service and staff were impeccable and I couldn’t find a fault! ||The only thing to note is that the club is not kids-free space so I was a bit disappointed to find children playing frisbee in the pool. The other pool was also very crowded with large families. As a solo traveler I found this a bit disturbing and would have preferred the pool area to be as tranquil as rest of the club area.

Excellent Stay, this is my 3rd time at Alila & this time i visited after 5:years. ||This place never fails to amaze me, beautiful property. Service is the same what it was 5 years back, breakfast spread is awesome, we asked for a Misal Pav & it was specially made for us Thanks to Restaurant Managers Somnath & Avinash, special thanks Ramesh chef who made special dish for us.||Many activities for kids to be kept engaged; play area, theatre, infinity pool, buggy service to the beach, kids master class, special mention for Velecia Fernandes for arranging the kids master class &;the Pizza chef.||Rooms are awesome, well kept.||Enjoy your cocktails at the pool, relax & enjoy.||Will be visiting soon.

The staff was incredibly warm, helpful and proactive to take care of us, especially with pampering our 6-year-old son who was extremely fond of them and continues to miss them after returning home. Ruella, Aradhana and Chelsea were extremely helpful in our check in and out process by addressing all our questions and concerns, including giving us complimentary dessert treats for our farewell. Ruella also was very attentive to our son's needs when he was in pain and helped us in addressing his concern. Christopher, Ram and housekeeping team kept pampering our son by leaving creative towel art characters in the room for his entertainment, including taking out the time to teach him on how to make them. The Bistro staff and chef (Shivraj and team) also took time out be part of waffle making process within the kitchen and creating a drink behind the bar. Holistically the service level at the Diwa Club was outstanding and exceeded my expectations, many many thanks and appreciation to them for making our family's stay very comfortable.
