Alila Ubud is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking to relax and get away from it all. Set in a quiet rainforest valley, the surroundings are peaceful and full of natural beauty.||||The staff were outstanding – genuinely friendly, professional, and nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.||||As vegetarians, this was the first place we’ve stayed where there were no issues with the food – both in terms of quality and choice. The vegetarian menu had plenty of good options, and if there wasn’t something that suited, the staff were more than happy to make something else. It made a real difference to feel so well looked after.||The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lovely views, and the whole resort is well designed to make the most of the setting. The infinity pool is a real highlight, offering stunning views over the valley.||||All in all, Alila Ubud is a calm, well-run resort with top-notch service and great food – we had a brilliant time and would happily return.

Overall we had an amazing experience! The hotel is small, but very beautiful and unique. The views were breathtaking and the monkeys made it extra cool. One small complaint is that the shower doors are tiny and water gets everywhere in the bathroom which was a bit annoying. However besides that, the rooms were wonderful and clean and the service was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. One thing I really want to commend is their food allergy awareness and ability to accommodate. I was so nervous traveling to Bali with a peanut allergy, but after reading positive reviews on this hotel, decided to take the chance and book the trip. They were very accommodating and made sure to cook food separately with clean oil each time for me. They remembered me and made notes so I didn’t have to repeat myself each time. They even made me a special cake since I was celebrating my birthday, and made sure there were no nuts in it. Every meal I had in Bali was at this hotel (and another I stayed at), and that’s what made it possible for someone like me to go there. I appreciated it so much!

Had a 4 nights stay here a couple years ago for a family vacation, but the amazing memories are still vivid. Saw pictures of the hotel pool online and always thought how amazing that was—it lived up to the hype! We had the villa with forest view. I’m from the city so it took some adjusting as we heard different types of insect or other living creatures making noises at night especially when we tried to sleep. Good thing we were tired so we still slept at ease. Some parts of the room, especially the bathroom seems a bit wore out & a touch up would be much welcome. One thing we didn’t like how the bedroom was disconnected from the bathroom (had to walk through a semi outdoor connector, though still within your own villa, when you need to go to use the toilet at night—where different small creatures such as frogs & other insects may await you). If you are into the outdoors & enjoy nature, then this would definitely be a plus! We had breakfast here every morning and it was delicious! The staff were exceptional! Very polite and welcoming and shows what hospitality should be like! I would definitely stay here again if in Ubud! Here’s my STAY ratings: Service: 5 stars/Excellent The Bed: 5 stars/Very comfortable Amenities & Cleanliness: 4 stars/a few things in the room need updates Yocation: 5 stars/nice secluded area of peacefulness

We stayed at Alila Ubud for 3 nights as a family of 4. We chose the location so that we could explore the cultural side to Bali. However we also found that the hotel was an oasis of peace and calm, away from the hectic streets nearby. ||The hotel is set in the jungle on the side of a ravine, which provides a stunning backdrop to the pool and views over the valley. ||The style is simple but good quality with a luxurious feel. Our room had a courtyard shower and bath which also had a privacy screen. ||As a tip always raise the screen after use, as if it rains it can cause a small flood in your room, as we found during a brief deluge!||The breakfast is delicious with a large choice, mixing buffet and service offerings, all included. We also attended a couple of the theme nights and both were entertaining and the food was excellent. ||The hotel has a minibus which runs to and from Ubud throughout the day. ||However the highlight of the hotel is its stunning infinity pool. An early morning swim is a must!

Our visit was end February into early march, nearing end of rainy season, the rain is quickly over and it remains hot .|Hotel is surrounded by nature and wildlife, secluded, stunning, special.|We were doing a 3 centred holiday but we wished we had been staying at Alila for the whole duration. |A feeling of peace comes over you here. Staff were amazing, attentive, gorgeous people. |Breakfast is a healthy feast, meticulously prepared, displayed beautifully.|The whole stay was a fabulous experience. Sad to leave. |It is convenient for visiting places of interest . However, Ubud town is very busy, crazy traffic.I didn’t understand what people thought was so marvellous about it. The sacred monkey forest is wonderful. Don’t let warnings of being attacked by monkeys deter you. There are silly tourists trying to take selfies. Etc. If you respect animals they respect you.

Excellent hotel with luxurious villa style accommodation set overlooking a dense tropical jungle valley, beautiful views. Daily encounters with macaque monkeys which never fail to amuse. Really friendly and helpful staff, food very good, perhaps another restaurante could widen the choices available but that's me being a bit picky.

Stepping into Alila Ubud felt like entering a serene sanctuary, a world away from the everyday. The open-air lobby, with its breathtaking views cascading down the lush hillside, immediately instilled a sense of tranquility. The gentle sounds of nature, the fragrant tropical air, and the warm Balinese hospitality created an atmosphere of profound peace. My gaze was instantly drawn to the iconic outdoor infinity pool, seemingly suspended over the verdant valley. Its shimmering turquoise waters beckoned, promising an unparalleled immersion in nature. The seamless blend of the resort's architecture with the surrounding landscape was remarkable, a testament to thoughtful design that embraced the natural beauty of Ubud. My One Bedroom Forest Edge Villa at Alila Ubud was an absolute sanctuary, a breathtaking immersion into Bali's natural beauty. Perched perfectly on the forest's fringe, the sheer size of the villa, especially the expansive terrace, was immediately impressive. Waking up to the unbeatable sunrise views painting the lush foliage in golden hues was a daily spectacle, enjoyed from the comfort of my outdoor living and dining area. Whether I was lounging with a book, enjoying a private meal al fresco, or simply soaking in the tranquil atmosphere, the villa truly felt like an extension of the surrounding jungle. The wraparound views from the bathtub were a particular highlight, allowing for blissful soaks completely enveloped by the vibrant greenery. The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces fostered a deep connection with nature, creating a sense of peace and privacy. This villa was more than just accommodation; it was an experience, a luxurious embrace of Ubud's enchanting landscape.

Bali is a very special place. The mountain setting of the Alila Ubud, with its beautiful pool that overlooks views of rice fields is stunning. We saw a few monkeys, which only added to the exotic experience. The secluded outdoor shower was divine. What we particularly enjoyed was the exceptional service and beautiful food. Widi, who served us breakfast each day went above and beyond to make sure I had a celiac friendly meal. On our last day, she made a special nondairy chia pudding that she delivered to our room. Dipa, the chef, made us delicious celiac friendly local delicacies. He blew all my expectations with his homemade gluten free pancakes. Suri brought me the recipe, which was extra special. We wanted to extend our stay. We would absolutely go back.
