Alila Ubud

We had a truly wonderful experience here. Their hospitality is exceptional and genuinely stands out. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, and some of the kindest people I have ever come across. A special mention to our host, who ensured every detail was taken care of so that our stay was seamless and completely hassle free. The food was exceptional, and the service remained consistently impressive throughout our visit. If you are seeking a peaceful escape far from city chaos, this place is ideal. It is perfect for anyone who enjoys being close to natural beauty, with tranquil surroundings that instantly put you at ease. The location is especially suited for couples looking to relax and unwind. Highly recommend for a truly memorable and refreshing stay.

A wonderful experiance where the staff are just wonderful, the jungle surrounings make this the perfect setting for peace and quiet and the food is delicious. We stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the jungle, perfect to wake up to the surrounding views. The room was a good size with lovely comfortable beds. The food is delicious and always served with a friendly smile from the helpful staff. The infinity pool is amazing. I would definatly recommend Alila Ubud as a place to stay if you want peace and quiet away from the busy town of Ubud

From the moment we arrived at this hotel we were looked after. Cold towels and refreshing water while our bags were taken to the room. Late lunch looking over that wonderful pool. Complimentary crisps and dip, Sauvignon Blanc refreshing and light. We had tripped into complimentary afternoon tea. ||Service was exemplary. ||We didn’t have the most expensive room but had a luxury feel, view from the balcony looking over the jungle valley. ||Cycling arranged plus a trek organised. Massages cheaper than the village could offer. Complimentary shuttle service took us back and forth to Ubud. ||Delicious breakfast with everything you could want.

As soon as we arrived felt relaxed surrounded by jungle and the sounds of the jungle. Checking was fast and the staff were lovely. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The outdoor bath and rain shower was wonderful. Breakfast was very good with different menu choices every day from Western to Balinese dishes. Both restaurants on the property served good quality food. The yoga classes on Sunday and Wednesday was great because the resort is very isolated and because of the traffic travelling to a yoga studio was stressful. The wild monkeys were a wonderful distraction and fun to watch. I would highly recommend Alila for anyone who wants to unwind and wants peace for a few days.

We had a 4 night stay at Alila to start our holiday & WOW, what a start to the holiday! The hotel & setting is absolutely stunning & was beyond our expectations. Such a peaceful setting in the middle of the jungle, we loved hearing all the different insects & being surrounded by raw, untouched nature! The monkeys made it for us, I absolutely love monkeys. Yes, they can be mischievous but if you understand that they are wild monkeys & not trained and keep a distance then you will be fine. The staff were always about to keep them in line. We spent many a times just sat watching them go about their days in the trees & around the grounds. The hotel itself is beautiful & very well maintained! The room was fantastic & well kept, the balcony overlooking the forest was especially lovely for a morning cup of tea. The breakfast & food was lovely & there is a good choice for everybody, even my very picky partner! One thing that makes this place extra special is definitely the staff - they are a true example of amazing hospitality! Nothing is too much trouble, they are always smiling, happy & approachable, they literally cannot do enough for you! They were happy to talk to & teach us about local cultures & teach us a few ‘ways of Bali’ as we wanted to be as respectful as possible in their country. I could write so much more but these are just the key points that were amazing! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back & recommending to people!

We absolutely loved our stay at Alila! The staff were amazing—always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. We originally planned to stay for 3 nights, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay for another 4 nights. Alila truly became the highlight of our trip! The monkeys playing around the pool and at our villa made the experience even more special. A huge thank you to the management and team for their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. We can’t wait to come back

Stunning location and views of the forested valley. Beautiful rooms. Gorgeous pool lives up to photos. Great breakfast spread. Friendly, helpful staff. That said, they inexplicably removed the fruit basket from our room on the second day. Breakfast service on the first and second day were excellent. Disastrous on day 3. The rooms are beautiful but the bathrooms look worn - corners especially don’t look properly cleaned, faucets have lost their shine, and thick caulking around toilet and sink show their age. Finally, we had dinner at the evening dance performance and didn’t find the dishes particularly flavourful. We very much enjoyed our stay but expected more at this price point.

We had a five night stay at this fabulous resort. The service was first class and people are so friendly, willing to assist in any way. We stayed in a de luxe room overlooking the jungle and mountains. The monkeys came to visit the first day to check us out, but then we only saw them again round the restaurants where they would snatch the food if they could! The rooms were clean and airy and very comfortable. I would definatly recommend staying here for the wonderful ambiance, quietness, dining and the amazing infinity pool overlooking the jungle. Thank you to all the amazing staff who gave us a memorable start to our holiday.
