Alivio Tourist Park, was a decent place overall. The location was a highlight, fantastic, and accessible to Canberra for visitation desires. I stayed in a double room cabin, which was also well kept for the most part. A few things are to be mentioned however. The room itself had all windows open upon arrival on a 35 degree day, it was completely sweltering, and the bedroom
was inappropriate and frankly
Disgustingly hot to lay down in.
The air con looked very dusty and in need of a service, and honestly only cooled down once the sun set
I do understand, however, that it is hard to maintain cool temperatures in these rooms.
Moreover, the toilet was constantly stuck on flush, which emitted a rather annoying sound. The toilet seat also needed replacing, it looked very old and used. Additionally, the door to
The children room was completely stuck
and not on the hinge, hindering my ability to close it and keep the cool in the lounge area. It was off putting. Otherwise, the room was accompanied by goods such as towels, cloths, plates, a very good industrial setting with perfectly good oven, fridge, stove and microwave. On a side note the air con was very noisy.
The camp site itself was pleasant and kept, and the Pool was also a fantastic facility. I do wish though that the laundry was open a bit later. I wasn't able to clean my clothes after a very busy day, and an early departure for the next day. That all being said, I'd recommend staying here, but would especially recommend it, if those concerns could be remedied.
