We have been to Aliya Resort & Spa many a times right from the inception! and the more we have been visiting, the more the property has improved in many ways from the room maintenance and must stress on the food! starting from welcome to the room and the food has been amazing overall. We would personally like to thank and highlight the services of the front office Staff, Ms. Alisha who can create magical moments for every Guest she truly is an asset to Thema! The way she handles a Guest with her smile and the bubbly herself would allow her to handle even an irate client smoothly! It’s not only our visit this time but Alisha had been always supportive and most of all accommodative to all our requests handling them all meticulously. Even in the past in whatever she could and she had always exceeded our expectations to all our Guests satisfaction. she never says no to anything, her utmost dedication, service and the smile she carries every single time will make a difference to any Guest to Thema! I reiterate She surely is an asset to Aliya Resort. The F&B has improved immensely from the last time we were at the hotel, Executive Chef Chaturanga creates magic with food, the food has been simply amazing with so many varieties to select from the spread of buffet, must say he has been very friendly and outgoing with the Guests. Generally we don’t quite see an Executive Chef during lunch or dinner all the time, but Chef Chaturanga had always been around most of the time and finally as we have always been latecomers for dinner, he always stood until we finished our meal to have the buffet dismantled, it’s a very kind gesture he extended which we rarely come across by the E Chef himself looking into the nitty-gritties.
Said all the above we like to extend our utmost thanks to GM Mr. Kasun who runs the show, all changes we believe and is evident has been his hard work bringing the property to such a standard. He has been personally checking on us, and we had a very easy approach any time even through his mighty responsibility he carries! We only wish none but the best for him and his team Thema at Aliya.
Finally without fail we need to mention the below.
Sasindu from the front who as we got to know had joined Thema not too long had been a very friendly guy and helped us check in quick and fast. Prassanna (PRASA) as read on his name tag from the restaurant had been supper energetic taking care of us while meals. Further Ranjan, housekeeping Supervisor who also had been a long timer at Aliya had been super supportive. Sukitha from the Finance who we know quite long had been super nice & supportive to all our requirements in the past and present, was happy to see her again! Lastly the Uncle, sorry we can’t recall his name who collected our bags, If we are correct he has been there at Aliya right from the start and also a super nice man. It’s so nice of him to come to the room and reminding us to check and take all the valuables phones/notebooks/locker items etc. Am sure he does the same to all Guests he serves. Once again, we have missed out on so many names we can’t recall and the Aliya team has been super amazing!!
